Hal’s younger brother is trying to reconnect with him and then his plane goes down in the middle of the desert and there’s search parties and everything but by the fourth day there’s really not much of a chance. So Jim goes to clear out his brother’s apartment and start the grieving process and everything and then Hal walks in going 🤨 “What are you doing here.” Jim’s understandably mad and Hal’s just like “what, I found a highway and caught a ride. That’s a crime now?” Some rant about you can’t just act like you’re the only one affected by your life, and he storms out and slams the door, leaving Hal to be all “pfft, somebody’s on his period.” Starts looking at the ring he got and trying to remember the rhyme the alien guy said, until ❇️ and now he’s rocket-shipping through space. As one does.

In my Green Lantern movie Hal and a couple of others get into trouble so Kilowog punishes them by abandoning them on a death planet without their rings so they have to work together or die. Shenanigans ensue and then it turns out the planet is Mogo. :)

Also in my Green Lantern movie Sinestro is NOT an antagonist. He’s sad that Abin Sur is dead, but he genuinely wants Hal to have a shot and is happy to support him. He has a good monologue about the relationship between will, courage, and fear, and seems to have some reservations about the guardians. Hal looks up to him a lot and they become good friends.

Salt lamps are pretty, actually. But every time I'm tempted I'm reminded of that "the health benefits of sleeping with a salt lamp in your bedroom can also be achieved by eating a small mcdonald's fries" and I think to myself well I do not need a small mcdonald's fries every night. That would actually be bad for me. And then I'm all better until I remember that they're pretty.
