“A poem…begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness.”

if i was a popular minecraft youtuber id just tweet "hey guys stop drawing shipping fanart of me and my friends/coworkers, i only fucked one of them and seeing me paired with anyone else is kinda weird and crosses my boundaries" and then i'd turn my phone off

i really need "villagers from minecraft are antisemetic caricatures" to become a popular enough sentiment for them to finally change their designs somehow

Did you know, almost every time a skin is used, the artist isn’t paid for it? Despite them being used in monetized videos? Did you know for both the Impulse and BigB pins, the original artists for the skins didn’t know and weren’t compensated?
Most of the time the artists aren’t even shouted out in the videos and aren’t given links in the description or in a pinned comment.
Just food for thought. 🔥

IMO, I think skin artists should get a shoutout in the video, compensation, AND a link in the description so it’s easy for people to find the accounts! People give more credit to redstone machines than their skin artists! 💔 (which both deserve credit obviously, I’m just saying!)

Anon I have no idea if you're still around since its been about six years but. You'll never guess what I figured out about myself
I just finished reading ttbp and I couldn't help to notice that it's similar to my experience with dissociative identity disorder in many aspects. Even if this is not what you intended it to be or not what you based this fic on, it really resonates with me and means so much to me, so thank you
I actually did notice that! I was a little afraid that it would seem like i was making fun of DID or something like that, so i’m really glad it didn’t come off like that

My first introduction to Joe Hills was that one Empires Crossover clip where Scott says "I hate the gays" and without skipping a beat Joe just starts shooting him with a Power and Flame bow
And when Scott explains "Im allowed to say that, I am gay" Joe visibly hesitates before saying "I dont know that!"
So within the first 30 seconds of ever seeing Joe Hills-content I learned that he is someone who will fight for us queers without hesitation and without thinking "but what if it makes me look bad". I dont think anyone ever had such a good first impression on me before.
Second thing I learned is he's a sock puppet.

the thing is people often talk about how minecraft steve is the most whitewashed character since jesus christ but never does anyone discuss how they’re perhaps the most misgendered character ever
steve (alongside all the other default skins, for that matter) are referred to with they/them and with gender-neutral language by the developers!
