i just literally have to apologise to anyone who's been waiting for a response (rp or Regular Chatting) from me ,, all i have to say is that times are rough and ive not slept for more than 4hrs a day for months now all because of work. being an adult is exhausting. when did growing up mean that you lose the whimsy of living

If you have achieved something, please remember to observe a mandatory period of basking in the warm glow of your achievement like a lizard on a stone, lest you teach your brain that effort is futile, actually, because it didn't get to enjoy its happy chemicals, so, naturally, nothing good ever comes of trying. (And no, avoiding punishment is not a reward!)
I recommend, like, 5% of basking time in relation to whatever time you invested into achieving the thing minimum. And if you can't make your own bask, friend-brought is fine (= tell your friends!).

being a creator is a lonely road whether you’re a gif maker, a writer, a VP…getting excited over something you did only to watch it flop is a hard pill to swallow because not everyone will be excited over it as you are. especially in fandoms. it’s having to constantly remind yourself that it brought you joy for five minutes before you shared it with the world.
a gentle reminder to be kind to yourself 🖤 if it makes you happy that’s all that matters.

the one thing i want to be able to do as a writer is make people come back to something ive written. i want that piece of text to haunt them, i want their thoughts to be briefly consumed by this. i want this to be something they remember long after its time. thats the one thing i want to do

A Wizard’s Guide to Co-Parenting with Your Ex-Arch Nemesis
Draco/Harry | Rated T | 38k words | thecouchsofa
For the @hd-kidfic-fest
Summary:  Harry had expected a few things when returning for his Eighth Year. Rooming with Ron, a cheeky Firewhisky down at the pub, leaving his assignments to the last minute – those were all but certain to occur.
His list of certainties definitely hadn’t included McGonagall’s shake-up of the curriculum, which tasked the Eighth Years with the responsibility of parenthood for three weeks. Caring for a baby Transfigured from a sack of flour would have been alright if: 1) Malfoy wasn’t Harry’s assigned partner, 2) Their baby’s one goal in life wasn’t to spite Harry, and 3) Malfoy wasn’t infuriatingly good at fake parenthood.
Tags: Hogwarts Eighth Year, Ridiculousness, Temporary Children, Mild themes of child loss, A baby that lives to spite Harry, Teenagers being dramatic, Humor, Fluff, Getting Together, Draco Malfoy is Good with Children, featuring that one Home Ec unit that everybody hated, Everyone collectively losing their minds over babies made from flour

I think with the reaction to the Ursula K. Quote about women being able to think, not just feel blindly, fits nicely into the anti intellectualism we are seeing and peoples commitment to staying in the kiddie pool. Like at a certain point you can’t vibes your way out of stuff, you gotta pick up books and a news paper and get informed and start exercising your brain.
