Reading reversals is such a huge topic when it comes to Tarot! I’ve put together this quick info graphic to help get you started if you’re new to reading cards or if reversals make you want to run and hide. There are plenty of other ways to read reversals out there so if you want to learn more I definitely recommend finding a few different sources! In the end, it’s up to you to decide how you want to read reversed cards or even if you want to read them at all. 🔮

Set and His twisted lessons

In the last few weeks I started to ignore all of my needs (not like I didn’t do that before all the time, but this time I went too far), my mental and physical health and became extremely tired, out of energy, and filled with many negative energy while I kept push myself to help others and support them without any break. I hold my phone in my hand during work, during cooking and house cleaning, washing, and even on the bathtube, ready to answer to any incoming call or message. I started to notice how I become more aggressive, irascible and unpredictable as the result of this, but I didn’t take a brake. Even when Set Himself warned me that I MUST stop this and have to put my focus on myself, give myself that care, attention and love to succesfully recover and heal myself; I kept continue.

I really wanted to listen to Him, but I failed. I agreed with what He told, every single word of His, but at the very first time when someone is showed up for help (within minutes or hours after my “vow”) I simply can’t say “NO” or “Sorry, but I can’t help you now” (or whatever I should).

Last night Set gave me a very-very harsh lesson, but I think I needed this so much. What does happen?

I fell into my bed completely exhausted, hungry and weak. I didn’t even have the strength to meditate (which is my very basic daily routine). Then Set decided that He will leave me to sleep only after we spend some “sweet” minutes togerher. I was so fucking tired, so weak, and hungry as hell, but even when I was in this horrible conditions, I can’t say NO. So I let this happen, and I tried to do my best to satisfy Him. But then, He started to act very… weird immediately after we “finished”. He became extremely cold, emotionless and phlegmatic. Absolutely out of color of what I usually experience in this situation. I was ignored, but in the way I NEVER experienced from Him (and I know I never really was ignored by Him even if that seemed to be the case). I felt myself like a piece of rag which lays on Him, but worth nothing, not even to notice it.

I felt myself so horrible, like I can’t even imagine that this is truly happens after all I went through with Him. I tried to figure out why. I really tried to find an answer to this; why do He act like this? Am I did anything wrong? I asked Him, but He shushed me. It was surreal, but somehow I fell asleep and I hoped He’ll show His shiny side when I woke up.

But I was wrong.

I woke up in a middle of a storm 2-3 hours later, still tired and weak. I know that I wasn’t the one who “wanted to wake up”, but I was forced to wake up. And I was aware of that He wil do IT again. At this point I was completely shattered and wanted nothing else just to escape, while in the same damned time I STILL tried to force myself to give what He want (???). When He finished, I was totally drained, humiliated and when I noticed that He is still in that horrible “phlegmatic, cold, emotioneless” mood, and that He don’t even notice me and my emotions, my suffering, my pain (psychic and physical pain) still, I started to cry.

I cried and cried for about 5 minutes, when He started talking to me softly.

He slowly pointed out and revealed before me what I did to myself in the last weeks. How I ignored myself. My emotions, my needs, my free will, freedom. The way He talked and what I felt from Him really put a huge effect on me about what I exactly did, what I caused to myself. It was NOTHING but true torture, violence and rape.

After I finally realized what happened and why, my tears stopped flowing, and He hugged me warmly, and I felt how His vibes, His behave changes.

I know that this was a very-very harsh lesson from Set, but I know that this had to happen, to force me to realize finally what’s going on before something way wrong would happens (and I know that I were in safe with Him). I handle myself exactly how He handle me then, but it opened my eyes, and gave me the strenght to fight for myself, even when it’s hard to decide what is the right time to stop. He proved to me that the tears which has flown on my face then were those tears whom came from the posion I let myself to suffer in and by time, suffocated me. He gave me a lesson I will NEVER forget! He made sure of it.

This is a very, very touchy and personal experience of mine, but if there was only one person who taught something by reading this, it was already worth for sharing. // Don’t let yourself to drain and suffer. Do not ignore yourself, and don’t forget that you born free, and meant to be happy and YOU meant to be loved; by YOURSELF too! If you can’t learn this and make it come true, you won’t be able to help and understand others.

I have a bit of a strange request: my cousin (17) was in an abusive relationship with this older guy.They broke up and then got together many times already, even if he cheated on her (and his previous girlfriends) He is generally disgusting esp when it comes to sex, he loves having power over his partners. The stars are carved into the cards. A reader’s ability is fragmentary without knowledge of astrology.

Each Major Arcana is a sign or a planet. This is crucial when you are identifying people. Who will you marry? Who will your child be? A Pisces or an Aries?

The Fool is Uranus. They are both eccentric.

The Magician is Mercury. They are both intelligent.

The High Priestess is The Moon. They are both intuitive.

The Empress is Venus. They are the Queen of Queens.

How to Ask Tarot for a General Prediction

Sometimes you have no specific question at all. But you find yourself curious about life in the long haul.

Step 1: Sort your deck.

Separate the major arcana (22 cards); the court cards (16 cards); the Wands, the Cups, the Swords, and the Pentacles (10 cards each). You should have six piles.

Step 2: Ask about life.

Overhand shuffle the major arcana, while asking, “What can I expect from life?” If a single card jumps out and lands face side up, that is your answer. Otherwise, put any rogues back in the pile and take the card on top. Read it.

Examples:

Justice – Life will give you whatever you deserve.

Death – Life as you know it now will change completely.

The Sun – Life will make you very happy.

Step 3: Ask about help.

Overhand shuffle the court cards, while asking, “Who will help me?” If a single card jumps out and lands face side up, that is your answer. Otherwise, put any rogues back in the pile and take the card on top. Read it.

Examples:

King of Wands – A Leo. Someone brave and protective.

Queen of Wands – An Aries. Someone strong and powerful.

Page of Cups – A Water sign. Someone emotional and loving.

Step 4: Ask about passion.

Overhand shuffle the Wands, while asking, “Where will I find passion?” If a single card jumps out and lands face side up, that is your answer. Otherwise, put any rogues back in the pile and take the card on top. Read it.

Ace of Wands – In something you have not tried before.

Five of Wands – In sports or competition.

Eight of Wands – In communication or travel.

Step 5: Ask about love.

Examples:

Ace of Cups – Yes, a new love will find you.

Five of Cups – Yes, but it will not stay.

Ten of Cups – Yes, and it will last forever.

Step 6: Ask about demons.

Overhand shuffle the Swords, while asking, “Will I defeat my demons?” If a single card jumps out and lands face side up, that is your answer. Otherwise, put any rogues back in the pile and take the card on top. Read it.

Examples:

Ace of Swords – Yes, you will slay them.

Three of Swords – They will always stay with you.

Ten of Swords – Never.

Step 7: Ask about wealth.

Overhand shuffle the Pentacles, while asking, “Will I know wealth?” If a single card jumps out and lands face side up, that is your answer. Otherwise, put any rogues back in the pile and take the card on top. Read it.

Examples:

Ace of Pentacles – Yes, like never before.

Five of Pentacles – You will know poverty.

Ten of Pentacles – Definitely.

Step 8: Ask about time.

Put the whole deck together again. Overhand shuffle all 78 cards, while asking, “When will any of this begin?”

If two cards jump out and land face side up, they are your answer. Otherwise, put any rogues back in the pile and take the card on top and the one at the bottom. Those are the two possibilities. For meanings, refer to this.

How to Uncover Your Past Life with Tarot

THE SPREAD

Childhood

Three leftmost cards (King of Cups, The Tower, The Chariot)

Young Adulthood

Three cards below (The Emperor, Five of Cups, Page of Swords)

Adulthood

Three rightmost cards (Six of Pentacles, Four of Pentacles, Queen of Pentacles)

Mature Age

Three cards on top (Three of Cups, Nine of Swords, Knight of Swords)

READING THE SPREAD

Childhood

This trio reveals your sex in your past life, your temperament as a child, and your family’s financial situation in your early years.

Young Adulthood

These cards unveil your personality and perspective from the age of 13 to 28 — the rite of passage into astrological adulthood, your first Saturn Return.

Adulthood

These cards speak of your psyche, status and life story for most of your adult years, until your mid-50s.

Mature Age

The last trio discloses your physical, emotional and psychological states from the age of 56, your second Saturn Return.

Past Life Essence

The card at the bottom of the deck is the rope that ties together all previous cards into a final answer.

Important Notes:

All trios are to be read individually, then together, as a scene.

The last card is to be read literally in conjunction with other key cards.

If The Tower and Death appear beside each other in any of the first three trios, it means you died within that age range. Any succeeding trios of cards should therefore be disregarded.

SAMPLE INTERPRETATION

Childhood

King of Cups, The Tower, The Chariot

You were male in your past life (Male-dominated: King of Cups, the man in The Tower, the charioteer in The Chariot).

You were a bad-tempered child (The Tower).

You were spoiled and privileged (Presence of a King and The Chariot, mixed with The Tower’s implications).

Young Adulthood

The Emperor, Five of Cups, Page of Swords

You had a tendency to be sad and solitary (Five of Cups).

But you always did your best to fend off darkness and depression (Page of Swords facing the Five of Cups, culminating in The Emperor).

Nobody even had a clue what you were going through (The Emperor).

Adulthood

Six of Pentacles, Four of Pentacles, Queen of Pentacles

You were wealthy (All cards are Pentacles, emphasized by the Queen and the rich man in the Six).

You were someone important (The Six and the Queen).

You were very protective of your reputation (The Four and the Six), which means you were a public figure (The Queen).

Mature Age

Three of Cups, Nine of Swords, Knight of Swords

You found your soulmate late in life (Knight of Swords rushing in; the lack of an opposite sex court card in the preceding trio). This person was younger than you (Knight vs. Queen [of Pentacles] and King [of Cups]).

The previous lack of romance in your life caused you sadness and frustration (Nine of Swords).

But in the end, your other half made it in time (Knight of Swords), and your wedding was glamorous (Three of Cups), befitting your status.
