 hey   wicklowians   !   the   submit   box   is   open   and   we   are   accepting   reservations.    at   the   moment   ,   we   have   forty   four   muns   and   a   cap   of   forty   five   muns.  however   ,   there's   ten   overflow   spots   as   follows   : 

 ⠀⠀↳        5   overflow   spots   are   reserved   for   bipoc   /   underrepresented   fcs   (   **   )  ⠀⠀↳        5   overflow   spots   are   for   wanted   connections ,   these   can   be   any   fc   ,   though   poc   fcs   are   encouraged   if   possible.

 (   **   )    what   counts   as   an   “   underrepresented   fc   ?   ”

 these   are   fcs   who   are   often   overlooked   in   the   rpc   ,   typically   falling   under   the   bipoc   umbrella   ,   such   as:

black   fcs

indigenous   fcs

&   south   asian   fcs

 i   hate   to   sound   bad   faith   ,   but   this   needs   to   be   said:   please   don’t   use   a   bipoc   fc   just   to   gain   entry   into   the   group   ,   only   to   switch   to   a   non   bipoc   fc   once   accepted.   this   defeats   the   purpose   of   the   overflow   spots,   which   are   meant   to   uplift   underrepresented   characters   and   create   a   genuinely   diverse   and   inclusive   space.

 if   you're   already   playing   a   black   or   bipoc   fc   and   plan   to   change   fcs   later   ,   please   make   sure   the   new   fc   matches   the   original   character’s   ethnicity   or   still   falls   under   the   bipoc   /   underrepresented   umbrella.

 this   isn’t   about   limiting   creativity   ,   it’s   about   being   intentional   with   representation   and   making   sure   this   space   remains   respectful   and   welcoming   to   all.

 hey   folks   ,   our   in   character   opening   will   kick   off   with   our   first   event.   beneath   the   cut   is   all   the   information   you   need   to   know.   happy   roleplaying   !

 event   concept:

 to   kick   off   the   summer   season   ,   the   residents   of   wicklow   ridge   are   gathering   at   the   town   green   for   their   annual   potluck   picnic.   a   long-standing   local   tradition   where   everyone   brings   a   dish   ,   a   drink   ,   or   even   just   their   personality.

 there   are   string   lights   in   the   trees   ,   mismatched   picnic   blankets   ,   old   folding   chairs   ,   lawn   games   (   think   cornhole   ,   horseshoes   ,   frisbee   )   ,   and   maybe   a   tiny   local   band   or   teenage   dj   playing   mellow   summer   tunes.

 people   are   catching   up   ,   welcoming   newcomers   ,   swapping   recipes   ,   and   in   true   small   town   fashion   ,   gossiping   under   the   pretense   of   “   being   neighborly.   ”

 ideas   to   help   spark   writing:

 your   character   brought   a   dish.   did   they   cook   it   ?   burn   it   ?   buy   it   from   the   store   and   try   to   pass   it   off   as   homemade   ?

 they   accidentally   sit   on   someone   else’s   blanket   and   now   it’s   awkward   …   or   a   meet-cute.

 someone’s   dog   runs   off   with   a   plate   of   ribs   and   chaos   ensues.

 a   pair   of   nosy   older   residents   are   “   interviewing   ”   newcomers   with   suspiciously   specific   questions.

 a   summer   storm   rolls   in   halfway   through   and   everyone   has   to   scramble.

 there’s   a   sign-up   sheet   for   the   “   open   mic   ,   ”   and   your   character   gets   roped   into   reading   a   poem   ,   playing   a   song   ,   or   performing   something   they   absolutely   didn’t   plan   for.

 please   tag   all   starters   with   our   standard   starter   tag   #wicklow:start   as   well   as   the   event   tag   #wicklow:eventone   so   everyone   can   easily   find   and   interact   with   them.

 we   don’t   have   a   formal   starter   rule   in   place   ,   but   it’s   common   courtesy   to   check   the   existing   starters   under   the   tag   and   reply   to   a   few   before   posting   your   own.   this   helps   keep   the   event   flowing   and   encourages   balanced   interaction   across   the   board.

 our   opening   event   will   run   for   one   week   ,   giving   all   our   muses   a   shared   space   and   setting   to   break   the   ice   ,   meet   each   other   ,   and   start   building   connections.   because   of   that   ,   participation   in   this   event   is   mandatory.   this   event   ismeant   to   be   a   fun   and   easy   way   to   get   everyone   writing   and   integrated   into   the   town   from   the   jump   !
