I will keep this blog on the off chance I want to move Alek back in the future.

"Tea would be great, thank you." Alek said following after her aunt, she would never admit this, but she loved how Peggy affectionately called her pet names like her da did.
It made her feel loved.
"That's okay, I wanted to talk to you anyway," she trusted Peggy. She didn't think Peggy would tell her parents unless it was something serious.
"Mom and Da are okay, things have been pretty quiet lately."
@justicescreaming continued from here: (x)
Her aunt wasn't related to her by blood, but Steve was like her da's brother, and he had married the British agent, so that made her family.
Besides, Peggy doted on her almost as much as Steve did.
Stepping into the house, Alek smiled sheepishly. She knew her aunt loved her as much as any children she and Steve might have, but something still felt awkward about all of this.
"Thanks, I hope I'm not disturbing you."

AGATHA ALL ALONG SENTENCE STARTERS
β You don't seem like yourself. β
β If you wanna be in control, you can be. β
β Is this really how you see yourself? β
β Do you remember why you hate me? β
β The things that you're roasting me for are the things that make me dangerous. β
β How long have I been here? β
β Call me "nosy," I'll cut out your tongue. β
β Can you put on some clothes? 'Cause you... 'Cause you're naked. β
β Do you remember pain? It kind of tickles, doesn't it? β
β Maybe I can't kill you, but I can make you wish you were dead. β
β I am not the only one that wants to see you dead. β
β Ugh! It really warms the heart. β
β You don't have a heart. β
β Be sure to tell the vengeance-seekers I said hi. β
β That's why I saved you from the spell you were under. β
β Wherever you are, a coven there shall be. β
β I feel really optimistic about this. β
β So you're a bit of a kook. Every witch has their process. β
β Witches like you are the reason people think we poison apples, and steal children, and eat babies. β
β Don't you miss the glory days? β
β The path you're currently on leads nowhere. β
β Hey! Where do you keep your jade eggs? I'm fresh out of marbles, and my pelvic floor is all over the place. β
β I haven't seen you since I made a really pointed effort to never run into you again.β
β Historically, we as a group don't do well in courtrooms. β
β People like you are dangerous. β
β Are there any real witches in the house? β
β What a team of rejects. β
β This is just a really, really, really horrible party. β
β It's giving "middle-aged second chance at love" vibes and I'm here for it. β
β Okay, so a witch is really just another name for a bad girl, is that right? β
β I'm not saying that I wanna join the club or anything, but I would drink the blood of a virgin if it would smooth out some of these wrinkles. β
β So the hallucinations seem chill. β
β I can't protect you! β
β I do not wanna die here. This is not where I die. β
β They can take your power, but they can't take your knowledge. β
β I didn't think you had it in you. β
β We were supposed to look out for each other, but we didn't. That was our fatal mistake. β
β I wish we could go home. β
β People can't be replaced. β
β Are we in trouble? Like, more than we were ten minutes ago? β
β Honestly, I don't know how to feel. Do I hate her? Or do I want her phone number? β
β I'm feeling impatient. I'm feeling like I wanna cause some damage. β
β Once vengeance is loosed, you can't reel it back in. β
β The only way to end a curse is to face it. β
β Sad is better than angry. β
β You don't have to know a person's name to know who they are. β
β Are you really defending a noted serial killer, you creepy lurker? β
β The moral of the story, kids, is always finish what you started. Also, mercy is overrated. β
β Who better to commune with the dead than someone who's put so many in the grave? β
β I mean, or we could just slit her throat. β
β But we were getting along, weren't we? We were clicking. There was unity. β
β She's possessed! For real this time! β
β I hate ghosts. β
β Why do you hate me still?β
β You were born evil. β
β Please take me with you. β
β She was protecting you. But you don't deserve it. β
β I couldn't... I couldn't control it. β
β Death comes for us all. β
β You're so much like your mother. β
β We love you more than we could ever hope to communicate in human words. β
β You don't need to be a psychic to see that you're a good egg. β
β Enjoy the now, baby. It's the only thing that's certain. β
β Nothing in my life has felt normal until I met you. β
β I want you to know the real me. β
β You're so adorably trusting. β
β Word to the wise, don't go sniffing around there. β
β You seriously don't know what kind of crazy that lady eats for breakfast. β
β I panicked, so I ran. β
β Could we, like, maybe not, with the physical violence? β
β Power doesn't interest me. β
β Yeah. Well, what you did was ehhh β¦ but life goes on. Yours, anyway. β
β I mean, I've killed...uh...my share. But you don't see it holding me back. β
β Don't you dare feel guilty about your talent. You survived. β
β So you broke the rules. Big deal. That's what kept you alive. That's what makes you special. β
β I don't need you anymore. I don't know if I ever did. β
β If you really wanna finish this together, just know that I do not trust you. At all. β
β You'll get a nosebleed trying that hard to read my mind. β
β Hey, you want straight answers, ask a straight lady. β
β Tell me what more I should see, when I look at you. β
β You know, we really hated each other from the beginning. But now...I love you, guys. β
β I'm a forgotten woman. β
β Death comes for us all. It is what we all have in common. β
β I can see all the pieces falling into place. The gaps are filling in. β
β I'm telling you now because soon I'm not going to remember any of this. β
β I hope you'll join me. β
β I needed you. My coven. β
β What can I say? I like the bad boys. β
β I loved being a witch. β
β That's it? That's all the... That's all the time I get? β
β This can't be the end. It has to be the beginning. β
β I watch you. Just as closely as you watch everyone else. β
β No one in history has had special treatment like you. β
β You gave me nothing. You took. β
β Why do you let them believe those things about you, hmm? β
β What fresh horrors await us! β
β You seem relaxed. Usually at this point you're either complaining loudly or freaking out loudly. β
β It's nice. That feeling when your body knows it's safe. β
β Sometimes...boys die. β
β Congratulations, my love! I'm sorry I didn't have a ribbon for you to run through. β
β Why don't you want me? β
β Power looks good on you. β
β You do this and I will hate you forever. β
β Please let him live. Please, my love! β
β If you want to survive, get used to this feeling. β
β I cannot protect you from what's coming. β
β I saw you die. β
β And now, I'm a ghost. Can you dig it? β
β By the way, I did not sacrifice myself for you. I took a calculated risk. β
β You're making fun of me. This is just one of your tricks. β
β You have something of mine. I know you took it. β
β Why are you still here? Why won't you just die? β
β I'm sure he would forgive you for... whatever you did. β
β We could make a good team. You and me. β

"It's automatic?" Before being reunited with her mom, Aleksandra had never had a mother before. She'd been taken immediately after birth, and she wasnβt sure Natasha would even want her at first. She wondered even now if this was all pretend.
"Is it always that way? I don't have to earn it?"
"I don't believe that, I think my mom loves me, and we're on the run." She knew that wasn't what Wanda meant, but love was love in all it's forms and Wanda had said love wasn't for people on the run.
"Come on, Wanda, you gotta tell me something!"

"As someone who was here, I don't think you're far off, it was a hard five years." She'd been a child when half the world had been snapped out of existence, her father included, coming so close to having her family back, only to have it snatched away with no guarantee of getting it back had been hard.
She was grown now, and she could tell her da struggled with knowing he missed her entire childhood, but at least they had right now.
"I'm just glad we got everyone back in the end."
"Alright, lead the way." If most the Dora Milaje had a problem with Aleksandra they kept it to themselves, a couple of the younger ones seemed genuinely amused by The White Wolf's daughter.
"It's been quite awhile, anything interesting you've been working on?"

"I thought youβd be in bed," Aleksandra came to sit at the table opposite her mom.
"Yeah, we had fun, Kate says hi." She didn't mention that Kate had fangirled a little when Alek had told her that her folks said hi.
"How was your evening here?"
"Hey, how do I look?" (For Nat)
βYou look beautiful, sweetheart. As always. Do you have plans?β

"I'd love that. It sounds like fun." She liked the idea of watching movies with her mom, they could bond over this as a family.
"My therapist wants me to try and put down roots, and create bonds. I want to put down roots with you... I was going to establish my legal identity soon, but I wanted to talk to you first. Would you be okay if I made my middle name Natalia?"
"That could be fun." Alek had never been to Disneyland either, she really hadn't been much of any where as far as going somewhere for fun. She'd traveled the world, but hadn't experienced much of it.
"Maybe we can do movie nights to prepare? Watch Disney movies so if we go I'm all caught up."

"I try to be." She hadn't gotten to be a daughter good or otherwise for much of her life, so knowing he thought as highly of her as she thought of him felt good.
"Enough sappy stuff, you're going to make me cry."
Aleksandra smiled and kissed his cheek in thanks.
"I love you, Da. I want someone I care about to see the version of you that I know, the side that's the best dad in the world."

"Understandable, if my folks were civilians I probably wouldn't feel comfortable telling them what I was doing, or at least not all of it." Hell, when she'd told her parents about this new team her da had been less than thrilled.
"You'll find a way to tell them eventually."
"Okay," Aleksandra made a mental note to keep an eye on Billy, not everyone was so desensitized by the trauma they had things like this didn't seem like a big deal.
"What are you going to tell your parents?"

Aleksandra rolled her eyes, Wanda was really going to stick to this then.
"Fine. I'm just saying, from what I saw you two really looked like you liked each other... I've never seen someone look at another person like he looked at you." She and her mom hadn't exactly discussed her father just yet, so Aleksandra wasn't sure if he ever looked at Natasha like that before she was born.
But Nat had made it clear how much Alek was wanted at least by her, and that helped a little.
"Do you love him?"

Aleksandra wasn't used to being anyone's favorite, she'd spent her childhood being hated by most other widows of her generation, she was different and that made their instructors push the other widows harder.
She had been so afraid after getting out that it was too late for her and her parents. That things would always be awkward and strained.
The brunette smiled and bumped her father's shoulder playfully.
"I hate to break it to you Da, but I'm pretty sure Mom knows."
What do You mean I can't throw a dagger at my problems?

"He's talking about it, hasn't done anything yet, I would like to see that myself." Aleksandra smiled at her uncle, she knew he meant it when he said he missed them, but he was also happy and she couldn't be upset with him for that.
"I also got my legal identity, I have a birth certificate and everything now. Da said he had dust in his eyes but he cried a little bit when I told him what my full legal name is."
Aleksandra smiled. There was a lot to get Steve caught up on, best start with her da.
"Da's doing really well, we all moved in together, he and I go out for lunch every Tuesday and he tells me stories about my grandparents and growing up with you, he's over protective, and likes to tease me... he's thinking about proposing to my mom, but he hasn't just yet."

"Yes, Ma'am." Aleksandra had faith in the people who had been recruited so far, Kate was a wicked good shot, especially now that Clint was her mentor and there would be other enhanced on the team.
"Thanks, Mom."
"I don't want Da to hate me or be upset, but I have to do this, I can't just ignore what I did, this is my making amends." Hearing her mother say the words 'you are mine' was comforting in a way Aleksandra couldn't quite describe.
"Talk to him, please?"

"I try." The quip was dry and droll, she squeezed her mother's hand, she knew she was much closer to her father, but she didn't want her mother to feel like she wasn't loved too.
"But I mean it, you are a good mom, the best mom I could ever ask for."
Aleksandra smiled and shook her head. She really was lucky. And while she did feel a little guilty being this happy, she was trying to ignore it.
"You're a good mom, you know, I know you worry sometimes that you're not, but you are."

"We'll get to the rendezvous spot and get you back to base. You can call your people." Alek was certainly planning on calling her folks. If she didn't check in, her da would lose his mind.
"You sure you're good?"
