Online conservative guys obsessed with movie casting have spent years insisting that all that matters is that the actor looks as much like the character as possible. So you can't try to make the cast more diverse, you have to cast who looks like the character exactly. Anyway after one round of people suggesting a trans actress who looks uncannily like Zelda play Zelda in the Legend of Zelda movie they're going "well, there are more important things than looking like the character". Fellas, I'm starting to think these people just want to keep marginalized people from playing anyone

I'm back from the dead for the one-williamnth time. I've been very busy finishing this semester and working at my TWO jobs all the time, but I still wanna draw silly guys!! I've been wanting to draw my splatoon OC, Juice, more often, but they kinda just exist without a lot of context or much world for them to live in. So I figured it's time to give them some friends and connections! These are the blorbos I managed to come up with. Not much details on them right now (except Riji's obvious pre-existing character) but there's always room for me to expand all their lore later down the line if I get writerly enough. All I know right now is they are all street rats who love to skate and cause mayhem, so basically Juice's perfect match. I hope I can upload more this summer! I'm hungry to draw them more along with other things. Feel free to drop ideas of shit I could draw them doing.

So I saw a lot of people drawing Splatoon characters as album covers, and I am a nerd for both Splatoon and pop culture so you know I immediately jumped on this. Pokemon SV Log ① | Tatsubi

It was my first time playing SM since I did all the stories, but SV (Rom is Scarlet) got me hooked on Pokemon for the first time. I love Rikuujira, they are so cute. I especially like Grusha as a human character, but I tend to favor SV. The log itself is centered on Rikujira and Grusha, with other characters mixed in, but no rotten elements.

UPDATED REF SHEET DUE TO CHARACTER RETCONS:

This my main splatoon OC, Juice. They've existed for a while in multiple forms, but they had little character or a proper story. With the influence of my friends, I'm gonna try to change that. I'm very proud of the renders I created for these reference sheets, and I'm already looking forward to drawing Juice more often in more splatoon art pieces. If you have any ideas for art pieces with them maybe let me know, I might use them as an outlet to experiment with different types of illustration pieces.
