With his eyes on the prize, now all that's left to do is scale the house, and...Huh. That sure is a big Cucco—one that is oddly human-shaped...

There is a bow in his hands, the wood smooth to touch while smelling of fresh pine. It's clear that it has been recently crafted. His calloused fingers studying it, he pulls the string by only an inch before letting it go. The vibrations steady in his palm, showing the makings of a sturdy bow as Link hums in content. 

Except the bow wasn’t intended for him to use. 

“Annnd there we go—” With an arm outstretched, he generously offers it to the princess. “Tell me how it feels.”

In the still of dusk, there is nothing better than the light of a warm, gentle flame. Its smoke carries the promise of food, drawing in the hungry hero after a tiring day of scaling the steep mountain (and almost falling multiple times). 

He is careful in approaching the campsite, heavy eyes briefly observing a shadowy figure that blends with the darkness a little too well.

Ominous, much? 

Not wanting to startle the man, he slowly steps near the flame with a hand raised in greeting. “Hey there. You got any seconds to share?”

   Resting at a nearby stable for the night, he’s been busy sneaking glances. Well...really, he was hardly being sneaky about it (despite his best efforts). 

   In the corner of his eyes stood a raven-haired woman, her ruby eyes glimmering in the dimly lit room. Quiet and poised, with an air of elegance around her—the toll of familiar bells rung in his head. She seemed to catch notice of him rather quickly, earning a startled twitch of his ears. Oops.

   “Uh...Hi.” Cue a small wave of his hand. “Sorry for staring, you just seem…familiar.” No use beating around the bush, he supposes.

   “When you think about it,” His posture is slack, chin resting on the hilt of his sword with a lazy gaze at Kogha. "You'd still be stuck in the depths if not for me." 

   Not voluntarily, of course. By pure, stupid accident the Sheikah managed to rocket himself out of the depths after their last fight…and survived. Again. A smile tugged at the corner of Link's lips. This must be Hylia’s way of keeping him on his toes. That, or she just likes to play sick jokes (it wouldn't be a first).

   "I think I at least deserve a thanks for that."
