Trying to hash out more designs for Norma, and having fun with Once-lers legs. Also a bit of that cool guy who likes grapes.

Well, I didn’t get much input onto my last post.. so I decided to post these anyway. Please note that I was not aware that cowboy Once-ler already exists when making these, and I am sorry if I am intruding in anyway! I just doodles these up for concepts and I should have checked before hand.

The idea behind these originated from a clash between ask-steampunk-onceler and ask-thneednight. Both are absolutley brilliant aks blogs. I wanted to incorporate all the characters/possible ships (Oncie, Greedler, Norma) into this ask blog, similar to ask steampunk, as it’s nice to see an askblog accommodate all the fandoms ships without necessarily giving anything away. While with thneednight, I love the costume design and the vigilante side of Once-ler it broadcasts. It allows a story arch, reoccurring characters, while still remaining as an ask blog.

To go at this I analyzed his outfit, wanting to keep similar aspects of his wardrobe but revamping it. His hat is what “gave it away for me” just a few adjustments to his fedora and I could make it a cowboy hat! His outfit lends itself quit well to a western spin, so I chose to make it a cowboy ask blog. Greedler would be Once-lers enemy, a notorious masked bandit if you will. It fit the character quite well, in my head, as this showcases his love of money and greed and also allows him to hide his face- not giving away to our hero that he is in fact the same guy (bit tricky to explain, I suppose).

The Lorax would defiantly be the Once-lers Deputy, while Norma a vigilante in her own (playing both an ally and a enemy at times). And the rest just sort of followed through?

I’m still very new to this ask blog business, but it seemed like a pretty novel idea at the time. However, I really do enjoy concepts and making up ideas, so to make up a new ask blog might not be so bad as this idea has been done.

So in any case, just enjoy the doodles!
