Elena & Kurt ( @ohbambix )
As she stepped through the door of the flower shop, she was immediately met with the smell of various bouquets and vases around her. Though, truthfully, she found it all a little overwhelming. Arrangements and choosing what type of flower said what had never been her strong suit. Elena made her way over to the counter at the back of the store, smile on her face as she approached the worker. "Hi," she greeted simply. "I'm looking to order a couple Christmas themed bouquets, but I have no idea where to start on what I'd like in them or any kind of arrangement." As she admitted to not knowing much about the flowers, she chuckled at herself. "I figure you're the best person to help me."

The way the man responded immediately had her feeling comforted. It seemed like this was a good choice and a trustworthy place. Were her thoughts that obviously written all over her face? "If I can't find an owner," she explained. "I would never forgive myself if I took him from a family who loves him and is somewhere out there, nervous and upset that he's missing." Belle wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she didn't at least try to reunite the cat with a family. "I've never had a pet before. I wouldn't know, well, anything." That meant that she'd probably end up taking out every cat related book from the library to do some research.
"you did the right thing," adam replied with another gentle smile. it was encouraging to know that there were still people like this patron in the world. most people would not have taken the cat in personally, and especially not to a veterinarian. "you figured right. this is the best place for sweet cats like the one that you've got here." adam could tell straightaway that belle was a good person. "are you interested in taking him in YOURSELF?" the man asked curiously. "i have a feeling that you would be a great human companion to this little guy. it's just my GUT INSTINCTS telling me that."

Belle & Anyone ( @thefinalgxrl )
The day she'd discovered Kew Gardens was the day she'd found her new favorite spot. In Belle's opinion, there was nothing better than walking through the various landscapes and enjoying everything nature had to offer. For some reason, she was particularly drawn to the rose garden, so that's where she was most often. Belle had been sitting on a bench when she noticed someone else walking through. "Isn't it breathtaking," she asked. "I never knew how many different kinds of roses there were until I started coming here." Old garden roses, tea roses, alba roses, and every style in between were all found growing together. "Is this your first time here?"

Belle & Rogue ( @starrcrxssed )
Maybe it was a silly idea, but her bosses had signed off on it, and she was passionate, so Belle now found herself sitting outside one of the more populated shopping centers. "Hi there," she called out as someone new approached. "Would you be willing to support and encourage a primary student this holiday season?" Belle knew what it was like to grow up feeling alone and she didn't want that for other kids. That had made her come up with this idea. Random adults around the city could choose a student based on a small questionnaire and the student would receive a free holiday gift and special card. "It will only take a couple of minutes and it's completely free if you can't donate!"

When she first heard the person talking, she assumed he was talking to someone else. Someone that he already knew based on the way he was chatting so casually. It wasn't until she looked around them that she realized he really was talking to her. Guess it was just his personality. Not wanting to be rude, she moved closer and focused on what he was saying. Everything he was saying seemed way too close for comfort. Maybe it wasn't all correct, but it was pretty damn close. "The purple... grape," she questioned, confusion written all over her face. Now that was something she'd never heard before. While she wondered if trusting this person was smart or not, she ended up joining him when he told her to sit. Her curiosity had certainly gotten the best of her. "You might as well tell me the story. I'm invested now." If anything, she'd have a funny story to tell people. all about the guy in the spandex suit that seemed to go through every emotion under the sun in the span of a couple minutes. ( @lcvenderhcze )
"PST! YOU! yeah, you! with the tragic backstory that seems to be out of one of those sad little nicholas sparks movies, where everything solves itself out in the end, because.. hey, doesn't make for a great blockbuster if there's no happy ending and if it's all doom and gloom, right? or maybe i'm wrong.. just look at that little chick flick about the purple grape who snapped away all of the universe by the end of the movie.. who didn't love that?" wade pretended to sniffle, whipping away some non existent tears with his right hand and considering that he was still wearing his mask, it would have been impossible to see whether or not he was actually crying. regardless, he was great at pretending and.. also great at annoying people, which was precisely what he was going to do now. throwing an arm around the person's shoulders, he grinned. "anyways, hi! wanna hear a little story? it's about america's greatest ass, the god of deceased family members and iron skeleton and how they went against the big, big bad purple grape.. heartbreak, lots of tears, emotional bromances and.. one final, big, big sacrifice - all the ingredients to a fantastic blockbuster.. who still couldn’t beat the greatest movie of all time, which happens to be.. about blue people. interested? sit!" @walstarterblog

"Oh, uh, he's not actually mine," Belle admitted as she handed over the small cage holding the cat. "I found him alone on the street and figured this was the safest place to bring him." While she'd never had a pet before, she had always loved animals and would've never been able to leave the animal behind. "I'd love to make sure he's healthy before I put out signs to let people know I found him." Then if no one claimed the cat, she'd probably end up taking him home herself. ( @moonglowmuses )
the most anticipated job for the man would have been that of a PHOTOGRAPHER. it was, after all, something that he was known for in his previous world. actually, that was a LIE. no one knew him for ANYTHING. he was not even worthy enough to be a fly on the fucking WALL OF LIFE. here, he had the potential to MAKE SOMETHING of his life. therefore, that was what he intended to do. he was working as a VETERINARIAN'S ASSISTANT. "this is a cute animal," adam mentioned when the patron handed over their companion. "do you have any INITIAL QUESTIONS before i bring this guy over to the DOCTOR?"

Belle had gone the majority of her life feeling like an outsider. She had never been into the stereotypical "girly" things that others her age were interested in. More often than not, she preferred the company of books over the company of other people. Those preferences were what others used to judge her. "All the time," she admitted. It was something that she'd gotten used to. Something that didn't bother her much anymore. "I try not to let what others say bother me, but sometimes, it creeps under my skin, you know?" As much as she knew that everyone was different, and that being different was okay, she couldn't help but wonder if she was wrong. Should she put more effort in to being extroverted? Would it really matter at the end of the day? ( @lcvenderhcze )
"I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me." (Anyone & Belle)
"DOES THAT.. TEND TO HAPPEN A LOT? BEING.. JUDGED? FOR YOU?" gabriela knew precisely what that was like. she knew precisely what it was like being judged for what you had done in the past and for what had happened and yes, she hated it. not that it wasn't her fault. not that she hadn't been a willing player on everything that had happened and not that it hadn't been part of the reason that what had happened to her had happened and yes, she hated it. of course that she did. right? "because.. most of the time.. it helps to not listen to what they say. you know?" @wildcstdrcams

“ It's so sad to think about the good times. “ ( nancy & helaena )
Nancy understood where the woman was coming from, but she tried not to dwell on the past. "The good times should make you happy," she commented softly. "You can look back and smile at what you've experienced. Plus, it's never too late to create more happy memories." While she wasn't one to be super optimistic, she could tell her friend needed a bit of a boost right now. "Tell me about some of the good times." Usually, it helped people feel better if they had the chance to talk about it and reminisce.

With everything that she'd gone through back home, Nancy felt like she'd lived multiple lifetimes. She'd fought for her life and her friends lives, lost people she cared about, and still wasn't sure if those still in Hawkins were safe or not. "I understand all too well," she told the woman. It was nice to be talking to someone who she could tell knew what she meant. Whatever the other person had gone through, it had changed everything for her just like things had changed Nancy. "The worst is when either you hurt someone or people you care about got hurt." As far as Nancy was concerned, she would allow herself to fall apart if it meant her loved ones would be safe and happy. "The world kinda sucks sometimes, huh," she asked with a laugh.
"Nothing lasts forever." (Anyone & Nancy)
"NO, I SUPPOSE THAT IT DOESN'T," was janet thinking of what had happened with .. him? yes, she believed that she was. nathaniel richards felt like a constant in her life that was never going to go away, no matter how hard she tried. no matter how hard she tried to chase him out, it seemed as if he was always there. "everything eventually ends and not always in the best of ways. you know?" it seemed terribly sad to her that someone so young would have known that. right? @wildcstdrcams

She hadn't always wanted to follow the journalism route. It had been something that she'd stumbled into when everything crazy had happened back home. Pretty quickly, she had realized that she enjoyed looking into things and wanted to expose the truth for everyone else. "That's the fun part," she told him with a laugh. "You have to hunt down the answer!" In the beginning of her career, she hadn't been able to take on the projects she was actually interested in, but now, she had more of a say. It helped encourage her to write instead of the typical boring articles so many people were forced into. "Oh, that sounds really cool actually," she replied. "You get to read all of the really good, new books before they're released." That was at least where her mind went when she heard editor for a publishing company. "If you wrote something, you're an author. Give yourself the credit!"
nancy was much more interesting than he expected a journalist to be. it was rude to assume but he thought they would all be stuffy and boring. kind of like that paris girl rory hung out with. then again rory was an exception to the idea he had. but she was the exception to everything. "no way. it's just like doing homework. even worse because the answer isn't just going be in a specific book." he shook his head disagreeing with her. "oh i never said did i? i'm an editor. i work at vance publishing. not sure if i count really as an author. i just published one book at a really small press." @wildcstdrcams

“There was nothing left to do.” emma and belle ( @itwcsmcroon )
"You did what you thought was best," she offered the woman beside her. There had been plenty of times where Belle had felt backed into a corner. That, no matter what, her choice wouldn't be completely consequence free. "As long as you're comfortable with the decision, at the end of the day, that's all that matters." While she didn't know specifics, she didn't want the other person to feel judged. "Would you like to talk about it? Maybe it'll help t get it off of your chest."

Belle was happy to see that someone had seemed to hear her and offer his help. It would've been impossible for her to catch with everyone else walking around. "Of course they are," she replied. "What else are people supposed to use to hold their place? Please don't tell me you're someone that folds the page down." So many people used the book's pages to keep their place, but that had always felt wrong to her. Finally getting close enough, she happily took the bookmark back to slide it into its proper place. "Thank you so much." As embarrassing as it was to chase after something in the wind, she was relieved that she didn't have to run after it for too long. Holding out a hand, she offered it to the guy in front of her. "I'm Belle," she introduced. Was it weird to be jumping in to so formally meet someone new like this? Sure, but she knew she also didn't have all too many chances to be social. Might as well take advantage of it. @xtinyslip
OPEN | Belle (Beauty and the Beast) | @walstarterblog
She knew it was a cliche. School librarian walking around with her nose stuck in a book? There was nothing more predictable. However, she didn't care. Most of the time, she was much more interested in the world of whatever novel she was reading than the real world. Especially one like this which she found impossible to figure out. As she sat under the tree in the park reading, a gust of wind came through and took her bookmark with it. "Oh," she exclaimed as she stood up to start chasing it. "Excuse me! Can you catch that?" Belle wasn't sure if the people nearby would pay attention or bother to help, but she figured it was worth a shot. "It's right there!" She attempted to grab the bookmark as it floated in front of her before dipping down in the wind again.

” At least I had the decency to keep my nights out of sight. “ ( rebekah & alys )
Rebekah took another sip from her glass of wine as her friend spoke. "It's unbelievable that we have to," she commented. "Men will sleep with a new woman every night and broadcast it to the world, yet the second a woman does the same, we're made out to be monsters." The hypocrisy and double standards had always bothered her. Luckily, things had changed for the better in the years she'd been around. "You should be free to speak freely of your nights if that's what you desire."

Her eyes were wide as they followed the path of the bookmark. She should have known better than tho simply rest it beside her, but the wind hadn't been too bad up until the point it had taken off. Belle visibly relaxed as she watched the man successfully grab what she'd been after. It was a relief that someone had been willing to help her since so many others had just stayed where they were and stared at her. "Thank you so much," she said as she met the person approaching her. "It's a tricky wind today. Just as I thought it had settled down..." Belle shook her head at herself, smile on her face now as she looked up at him. "I'm Belle, by the way," she introduced. "What is it that you were sketching before the wind so rudely interrupted?" Her art had never been the best, but she loved getting the chance to be creative whenever possible. @fcdcdmcmories
STEVE SPENT MOST OF HIS DAYS IN A PARK, AS WELL. as he had found , it was one of the absolute best places for a sketch and to find himself drawing, because .. of course that it was. it brought him some sort of peace that he hadn't known in the past and yes, that was how he was very well aware that he couldn't let anything get in the way of that . he wanted to help his old friends . there would be a part of him who always would but now ... now , he knew that the time had come for him to also think of himself . which ... he was going to have to do . of course. "oh, god," he moved to grab her bookmark, just in time before it floated away again . walking over to where she was , steve nodded . "terrible wind today, isn't it? i almost found my own sketchbook trying to float away once or twice. suppose that's what i get for attempting to create art in a park ... on a windy day . here you go, miss." Watching the bookmark fly up higher made her realize that needed to look for someone who was taller than her. Maybe they'd be able to catch it. Belle followed the other person through the park, letting out a sigh of relief when he caught what they'd been chasing. "Thank you so much," she expressed. While she wasn't sure why, the Paris bookmark held a special place in her heart. "As nice as it is to read outside, I should have known better when the wind began to pick up." @bejcwcled
jess was out at the park watching fitz run around and burn off some energy. he had been quietly sitting on a bench watching the puppy play when he saw a woman start chasing something. "uh sure i can try," he nodded his head, getting up from where he was sitting and chasing after it as well. he went to catch it but lost his balance missing it at first. he gave it a second try this time grabbing it. "here you go." @wildcstdrcams

She easily nodded along in agreement. It was harder to make friends as adults, but she always felt like that seemed to be when people needed friends the most. To get through the typical day to day highs and lows. "I would love that," she replied to Mabel suggesting they explore together. "I love both of those things. Reading a bit more than art though, as I'm a terrible artist." Nancy chuckled at herself as they continued looking for somewhere to go. "I tried carving a pumpkin recently and ended up with the world's ugliest blob." There was a smaller diner a bit further down the road from where they were. "Should we check them out," she asked as she gestured towards the upcoming building. @ofantiheroes
——- Happiness took over as she was glad to have a friend in this town -- mabel laughed a bit . ❝ both -- but i do like the friends option more myself too , ❞ she smiled , given all she been through before getting here and being here now . it was truly nice to have someone to call a friend . ❝ really ? nice to know i'm not alone . maybe we should try and explore together and maybe find places to hang then ? otherwise -- i'm also pretty into reading and art myself . ❞ after the festival and what she went through . mabel knew for sure she was going to make the best of this moment -- do better and try and enjoy being here and her life now . it was her to have the life she wanted now .
