It kills me
What she says: I’m fine
What she means: In Howl’s Moving Castle Sophie goes back in time and witnesses Howl making his original deal with Calcifer thus discovering the way to break Howl’s curse and before she leaves she tells Howl to find her in the future and if you recall to the beginning of the movie Howl saves Sophie from some highly questionable and rapey soldiers and tells her “there you are sweetheart, sorry I’m late, I’ve been looking everywhere for you” because he took what she told him as a child to heart and has been looking for her ever since and if that’s not the tightest shit ever I don’t know what is

This is either madness or brilliance. It’s remarkable how often those two traits coincide.

Any sources you wanna link on that "amber heard is an abuser" post or nah?
I have reblogged concrete evidence many times. My post was about the way people ignore the evidence - and you proved my point, because you would have seen the evidence if it hadn’t been ignored.
But yeah here it goes.
In 2009 Amber Heard was arrested for assaulting her then wife. She tried to get it erased from her record in 2011, around the time she met Johnny Depp. When this information got out in 2016 after her allegations against Johnny Depp, there was a public statement accusing the arresting officers of misogyny and homophobia, saying it was blown out of proportion and thus it was dismissed. However, the arresting officer spoke out about this accusation. Turned out, the cop was a woman, a lesbian, and a gay rights activist. She witnessed the assault, court documents say the victim ASKED for the arrest, wasn’t forgiving at the time of the arrest, and also, it was only dropped because they were in a different state. Audio from the court hearing.

Johnny’s court documents reveal that his team have been interviewing other women who claimed they were abused by Amber Heard. Those testimonies have not been released, so at this point it’s only a claim, but it’s worth noting. Amber’s friend Laura Divenire gave a sworn testimony that she saw Amber verbally abusing her now former assistent though.
Photos of Johnny Depp’s lnjuries:

Some of the witness statements that have been released so far, from people who either saw Amber abusing Johnny, or the direct aftermath.
Pictures were taken by his bodyguards, a sworn declaration of one of them:

Declaration of Tara Roberts, estate manager for Johnny Depp’s island

Estate manager of the building he and Amber lived in

In August 2016, Amber was made to sit for a deposition. In this deposition, she is of course asked to talk about her allegations. But she is also questioned about Johnny’s claims that she abused him. Amber deflects the questions, avoids answering directly, or tries to say that any violent act was done in self-defense. Interestingly, in her 2019 response to Johnny’s lawsuit against her, she claims she only hit him once in defense of her sister. This incident is actually the one Travis McGivern talks about. Though his version is very different. You can certainly think it’s just a he said, she said thing. But Amber’s sister never testified on Amber’s behalf, and to this day is still not listed as a witness, even though according to Amber, she was there.
(I will also remind you, that Johnny’s hand was in cast because of the finger injury that happend a few weeks prior - his right hand, his dominant hand, he was under medical care, and Amber claimed he got so angry that she got so scared that for the first and only time, she had to punch him to save her sister. A man with his dominant hand in cast. Whose version is more likely?)
But anyway, back to the point. Even if she had acted in self-defense, it is certainly interesting she now claims she hit him in self-defense only ONCE, when under oath, she admits to other incidents. Make of it what you will.
Amber is played an audio in which she and Johnny discuss an incident in which Johnny says he was in the bathroom, she was trying to get in. In the end, he opened the door, accidentaly scraped her toes, he bent down to look, she hit him with the door and then punched him. On the tape, all she does is say she didn’t mean the door thing, she apologizes and says she did mean to punch him. Now after the audio is played, she says she was actually hiding from him and he was trying to get in the room… weird she didn’t object to his version on the tape.

She avoids answering if she ever thrown anything at him, but when they say it was witnessed by employees, she asks “whose employees?” and then says “oh that’s true”
“I don’t know what has hit him” in other words “yes I have thrown things, but I don’t remember what actually hit him”

An accidental slip “whenever he was hit” (so not just once in self-defense? hmm) Calling him dramatic.

Does Disney not understand that if they gave us more PotC with the same characters, they would make more money than if they try to do something else with the series? I’m just upset at not getting more Willabeth ok.
I wish Disney would continue the series or just end it at five. I don’t want a reboot. No real fan does.

Since some people still aren’t getting it: Queer has been used openly at pride events for literally decades. if you have trauma around that word that’s fine but you can’t ban other people from using it in chants or on signs at pride to “make you feel safe.”
It’s been in use widely enough and for long enough that you know this will happen. Consider that a trigger warning.
You KNOW that people are going to use that word. It’s your choice whether or not you think you can handle that. At a certain point, your trauma is yours to manage. You have been given time and warning to prepare and make that choice with full knowledge.
If you choose to go anyway, you can’t then complain about it.
Also: it’s pride for god’s sake. it’s for being loud and proud about our identities. Including the ones some people don’t like. Don’t tell people to dial themselves down and hide parts of themselves at a literal pride event.

This post is incredibly important. Do not support such a horrid story
Do NOT Support ‘Adam’ When The Film Comes Out
I’ve talked about this before on this blog but this is the most disgustingly transphobic and lesbophobic narrative I’ve ever come across.
CWs: transphobia, homophobia, lesbophobia, corrective rape, voyeurism
The book Adam by Ariel Schrag is being turned into a movie which has been named as one of the most exciting LGBTQ films of the year. You should know before watching that the book is about a cis boy who pretends to be a trans man in order to persuade lesbians to sleep with him.
Yeah… you read that right.
Book plot summary:
boy spies on his lesbian sister having sex
boy decides to pretend to be a trans man (gross)
i.e. pretends to have a vagina because he thinks lesbians will want him then (he literally wants to fuck lesbians because he watched his lesbian sister have sex wtf)
he does get a lesbian to sleep with him, he straps his penis down using ace bandages and uses a strap on.
all the actual trans dudes we meet identify as lesbians this basically implies that trans men are not real men (lesbians i.e. women)
another time they have sex again only he uses his actual penis but tells her its a strap on. that’s literally rape, she didn’t consent to an actual penis.
he confesses that he’s been lying to her this whole time but she doesn’t break up with him. she even says its okay cause she fantasised about him being “a real boy"
that’s a direct quote. massive transphobia. huge. not to mention this is now the “lesbian is cured by dick trope” which is disgusting and that trope leads to real lesbians and bi women being raped to “fix” them.
he leaves new york, they’re long distance. they get in an argument and he calls her a slut and a whore among other things and then she dumps him
eventually they get back in touch and she has a new cis boyfriend so yep, she’s been “cured” woo she’s actually straight and he helped her realise that yay (massive sarcasm)
It is deeply deeply transphobic. To imply that our identities are just costumes for other people to put on erases who we are as people. More than that, to imply it is done to trick people into sex is a dangerous lie that literally gets us killed.
It is also deeply lesbophobic. To fuel this narrative that lesbians can be “fixed” by having sex with a man leads to real corrective rapes happening.
Here is a review of the book by a trans man. I have yet to find one by a lesbian but will edit this if I do.
This book gives out incredibly harmful notions about trans men and lesbians that are used to hurt them in real life. It’s so entrenched in the narrative that I don’t see how the film can possibly be any better.
I do not say any of this lightly. it’s very very rare for me to call out a piece of fiction or for me to decide that a story is unfixable. But this… there’s no excuse for the bigotry in this.
I’d like to tell people to boycott it but I can’t tell you what to do. So instead I’m going to ask that you share this because it being named as an exciting new LGBTQ film is going to make LGBTQ teens want to see it. And they should know beforehand how hurtful it could be. They should be able to arm themselves with that knowledge.
Don’t make queer kids see this film believing it will represent them only to be exposed to this hatred of their identities.
Please reblog.

Times Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann risked their lives/saved the others lives.
Curse of the Black Pearl:
Will: tries to kill Jack for threatening Elizabeth, fights the pirates who invade Port Royal, gets knocked out when he sees Elizabeth being taken away, interrupts a meeting between Norrington and his men, frees Jack from jail so that he can lead him to Elizabeth, hits Jack over the head so that he can swim over and get Elizabeth, used his own life as a trade to free Elizabeth, stopped the execution to save Jack and confess his love for her, and was willing to accept his death for it. Elizabeth: refuses to tell Barbossa who Bootstraps real child was, tried to pry open the hatch to try to save Will, attacked Barbossa because he thought he killed Will, burned Jack’s rum to get off the island to get help, escaped Norrington’s ship to find Will, fought pirates with Will despite not having training in that, and stood with Will in between Norrington and Jack to protect Jack and show her love for Will.
Dead Man’s Chest:
Will: starts to fight arrest when he sees Elizabeth get handcuffed, is willing to go to a cannibal island to get Jack’s compass, goes onto Davy Jones’s ship to get a key (and gets whipped), survives a Kraken attack, fights Jack and Norrington, leads the crew through another Kraken attack, and still stays loyal and loving to Elizabeth after she kissed Jack. Elizabeth: gives up the safety of London to find Will, pretends to be a ghost on a ship to get to Tortuga (while in disguise), fights a bunch of drunk pirates, joins Jack’s crew to find Will, and kisses Jack so that the crew can escape the Kraken.
At Worlds End:
Will: goes to get the map they need from Sao Feng, saves Elizabeth from being shot, stays loyal to her even though he’s mad at her, stops her from jumping off the ship and comforts her when her father dies, tries to stop her from going with Sao Feng, protects her from Calypso’s crabs, proposes to her during a battle, stabs Davy Jones when he tries to stab Elizabeth, dies for her, gives his one day to be with Elizabeth, and helps kill Beckett. Elizabeth: sails to Sao Feng’s boat to get Will back, gives him her other sword, reaches for his hand when he looses grip, goes with Sao Feng, trades Jack (one of the pirate lords) for Will during parlay, marries Will during battle, fights with Davy Jones, refuses to leave his side during his last moments, tries to stay with him even though the boat is sinking, gives up pirating to live on land for him, promises to keep his heart safe, and stays loyal to him and gives birth to his child.
And of course there is the fact that in between Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man’s Chest, Will teaches Elizabeth how to sword fight so that she can protect herself if needed.

In Dead Men Tell No Tales, Henry goes to talk to Will on the Dutchman. When we see Will he is starting to become part of the ship. I think it’s because he saw/felt that Henry was in danger and broke the rules of his curse to save him because he wasn’t that far into the transformation. I also imagine Will panicking thinking that Henry is there to tell him some bad news like Elizabeth died or something. I don’t know. I just know that Will would never give up when it comes to family. He would never be like Davy Jones. Ugh just that scene hurt so much.
Also I think if Elizabeth was dying while Will was still cursed to the Dutchman, she would want Henry to set her to sea so that she would die at sea and be able to join Will again.

It really hurts to think about Will’s death. He was stabbed after protecting Elizabeth with the sword he made for Norrington. He ends up stabbing Davy’s heart with Jack’s broken sword that Davy broke. And Bootstrap had to cut his son’s heart out with the dagger he gave Will to kill Davy Jones and free him. It really hurts ok.

In Dead Man’s Chest when Will sneaks onto the Dutchman, as punishment, Bootstrap has to whip him as Davy Jones watches. Just imagine Elizabeth’s reaction to finding those marks on Will’s back. She must have been so worried.
