someone plot with me.

you know what, i don’t like shisui in the standard uniform, so we are going to tweak it a bit. i think he’d be abandaning the flak jacket, because it is in the way of the tanto he has strapped on the back of his right shoulder; even though they tweaked it in the filler episode -- i don’t care. the shirt and pants would be mostly the same, but black and a bit more form-fitting; with the sleeves of the shirt being mesh up to his forearms. 

the cloth on the headband would also be black, but in all honesty -- i can see shisui only wearing it when out in the field, not all the time, for sure. he would also have a small uchiha crest stitched on one end of the headband since he can’t really have one on the uniform.

i find the rinnegan really fascinating, because based on one of the light novels, sasuke was able to sort of copy/simulate kekkei genkai -- it wasn’t exactly the kekkei genkai, but he was able to exactly replicate it with his rinnegan. AND WE DON’T EVEN HAVE THAT IN THE ANIME.

Unrolling it, she presented Shisui with a strange sealing decal he might recognize; it wasn’t too far different from the sorts Root had been sealed with. Shimura clan juinjutsu, through and through.

“I saw one the other day, Shisui-san. You know, under Shiso’s wing, she grilled me with every level and kind of fuinjutsu there was before I ever touched Yin Seals. I read about some, too. Juinjutsu,” she began tersely, refolding her arms again. “I examined a child the other day who survived a traumatic mission complaining of eye pain. I don’t really dabble in normal medical ninjutsu these days, but… Katsuyu-sensei and I found this. Juinjutsu he never remembered getting that prevented use of his Sharingan. I worked it through, and he was able to use it normally a little, but–someone’s sealing the children from awakening Sharingan.”

dark brows furrow the slightest bit when sakura placed the scroll into his hand, muttering his gratitude as crimson bled into onyx, the swirling tomoe scrutinizing the seal in the scroll with sharper vision. not that there was much that his dojutsu could decode, but memorizing it was enough to know what to look for. 

the incident sakura described was confirmation of his doubts, his fears that the clan was targeted beyond petty jibes and restrictions on village affairs. they were purposefully weakening them, starting with the youngest members of the clan; the most innocent ones. shisui narrowed his eyes, sharigan fading to obsidian as he tensely nodded at the conclusion sakura had come to. 

“ they are trying to weaken us. i am not sure who is giving the orders exactly, because it could be any of lord danzo’s trusted men, or lord danzo himself, but what do they think this will achieve? ” he said with a decent amount of frustration, because this was not only an inhumane attack on the uchiha, but it was a delibarate act of weakening the village forces. the war may be over, however, it brought forth much resentment and tension between nations and villages alike. especially those that suffered the most. “ and they are hurting children, innocent ones too. ”

a small smile, almost hidden by the high collar of his cotton shirt, crept onto his features; if kakashi did not want to be discovered until he spoke up, he wouldn’t have been, regardless of how good of sensor shisui was. his head tilted back, onyx gaze cast up at the sky above; there was a few clouds here and there, but aside from that -- it was clear. he hoped that kakashi’s apartment would provide the same for shisui, a day clear of fellow shinobi and clansmen hunting him to impart good wishes. he took a single step back, torso turned toward him so he can regard him properly. “ well, if you went out of your way to stalk me and extend this kind gesture to me, i can’t really say no, can i? ” he teases, but it’s all good-natured, the way it always is with the older man.

" there is a sense of finality in his tone, no room for argument as shisui looks out to the gates of the village. he'd have to go soon.
