ranking the best things I have heard surgeons say mid-surgery:

1. "Five second rule!" while scrubbed, after dropping a sterile scalpel on the floor (no they did NOT pick it up again but I swear everyone's buttholes puckered)

2. (spoken during the closing of a particularly long and difficult case) "Nurse - my tunes." :heavy metal starts blasting:

3. Gently to a fretful patient, pre-anaesthesia: "It's going to be okay. I promise, I've dealt with worse." As soon as the patient is unconscious: "This is literally the worst thing I've ever seen."

4. [okay this one was a med student] "Wowwww, that's so gross!!" Reg: "Please remember that [patient] is awake for this procedure." Student to patient: "Oh my god. I am so sorry, that was really unprofessional - " Patient, cheerfully, also engrossed with what's happening inside them on the screen: "Nah - it's, like, super gross, right?"

5. [another procedure where the patient couldn't be put under GA] Patient: *starts singing country roads midway through the procedure* Surgeon: *shrugs and joins in with surprisingly good harmony*

I never knew this would happen again. Fans bringing up a harmless screen cap redraw from the show, I wasn’t doing it to be racist. I just wanted to see it in the style of the books. Anyways.. now back to the bullcrap above.

For starters, I never ONCE harassed or bullied a fan for liking Solangelo. I have been harassed for THREE MONTHS straight for not liking Solangelo. I never said anything mean, pathetic, and ungrateful things to them. All that garbage has been thrown at me saying I’m a bad person when I am not. I don’t draw Solangelo art for clout, kiddo. I draw it (and I feel like I’ve been saying this a million times) because I love showing my friends and the good fans support. I am friends with fans that do love Solangelo and I cherish them with all my heart. This isn’t clout. I don’t believe in rumors and this is old dogshit that I don’t care about and I don’t read because I don’t care. I don’t care what these fans say about me. I’m an adult with a life, two jobs, and college. I don’t have time nor the patience to deal with immature adults and kids online because they like to play the victim card because I don’t like their ship. Please grow up and the Solangelo fans that like to villainize people for not liking your ship, please get over it. Talk to fans that like the ship and focus on them, not those who don’t like the ship. Please do not harass these people, they’re enough trouble as is. I also want to address that I’m getting frustrated with fans villainizing me because I draw the book versions.
