The funny thing about the incest accusations in Supernatural is that the characters never react appropriately to finding out that Sam and Dean are brothers. There’s always a noticeable air of disbelief when Sam and Dean say that they aren’t married, they aren’t boyfriends or even when they’re assumed to be a one-night stand. No-one actually believes them when they say that, especially given the time period. The most confusion they’re shown is when Ash doesn’t understand why they share a heaven as soulmates, which was more curiosity than outright disgust.

Tumblr really stumbled into a beautiful feature with the whole "tags are separated from the main post" (as they should be, they're metadata) + "tags can be as long as entire tweets" thing. They make a really nice form of textual subvocalization/whisper mode/aside/whatever (they're flexible!).

I keep finding myself wanting to make such asides on other sites and find myself subtly irritated that I can't. I wanna elaborate in a way that is diminished compared to the main post!
