My part of a small art-trade with @yohohonabottle. It's Pirin and Ludovic. One one hand they are meant to enjoy a peaceful cuppa but on the other somehow Pirin managed to disturb the mood with a random, totally out of place, amusing comment, earning that look from Ludo. xD
Oh yeah, I dressed Pirin up, for the occasion. Matching clothes. ;-)
Thanks for the request and yeah, anytime! As long as I am free. AFKJ work will have priority for the next couple of day, with the deadlines for certain projects coming closer but then, I should be free for one or two more trade. ;-)

This is absolutely lovely! <3 I love Lavi's face in particular! She looks so happy with Valen. (Well, who WOULDN"T be?) xD This will go straight up onto their wall in their little apartment!
Anytime again. ;-)
Did an art trade with @windmaedchen-oceanhorn and got a family portrait tapestry for mama Lavi, papa Valen an' their son Hysen! It was really fun to draw and mess with posing, hands, new brushes... Once again, thanks for the art trade!
(Also lil lore: It's common for night-nymphs – Especially of Eclipse and Moirai – to weave tapestries as a gift to new families. Always weave it between two branches with blossoms and leaves, durable and or nimble wood that's really hard to break – symbolic representation of the family's bond; and well wishes for good luck, health, longevity for the fam. To thrive.
If no branches are available – then steel, sturdy metal be it rods, arrows (Crimsonfangs often use arrows or weave the tapestry over a shield). Same ideas. ☆ Not be confused with memory or marriage rite tapestries which are drastically more like dream–catchers. ☆)

Yeeeeees, welcome home Hysen!
It's not quite yet time for Lavi and Valen to get children, since they started dating just half a year ago... BUT... their future is now officially set with their first-born son Hysen.
And there couldn't be any better granddad than Sena! <3
Lavi will feel sorry for making Sena to all this babysitting, but she is eternally grateful for it, too. And I am so happy to see Sena take care of my OC's, too, so double the gratitude coming your way, Bunnybird! <3
Welcome Home Hysen!

(A fic for the amazing @windmaedchen, who did the art for both this and the Father's Day Sickfic. Thanks for always giving me a boost of serotonin, Mama Wind. )
Lavinia sat on the plush couch in the mystical house lounge, calmly sipping the chamomile tea that Sena had made for her. Her green eyes watching softly as the mage cooed over his grandson with palpable excitement. The little infant, Hysen, seemed just as thrilled, giggling up at his grandfather with a gummy smile and wide eyes. His tiny limbs flailed clumsily as he lay in his crib, squirming slightly in a silent demand to be picked up. A demand that Sena eagerly met by gently scooping the child into his arms.
Valen just rolled his eyes, wrapping an arm around Lavinia’s shoulders. “Well, will you look at that? Just a few months old and he’s already got the great Magister Merlin wrapped around his little finger,” he quipped, not even attempting to hide the warmth in his voice. “We better be careful, or soon he’ll think he can get away with anything.”
Lavinia chuckled. “I think it’s sweet. I mean, look at how excited he is. It’s like he’s never seen something so fascinating in his entire life.” She mused wistfully, watching as her son blinked curiously up at the mage.
“Are you talking about our son or my dad?” Valen huffed, earning a playful smack to the shoulder.
“Valen! Would it kill you to show your father some respect?” Lavinia chided, though there was very little actual reprimand in her voice.
“Hey, hey! I was joking.” Valen laughed, holding his hands up in mock defence. “And anyway I’m not wrong. I mean just look at them!” He argued, gesturing to the pair.
Lavinia just sighed in fond exasperation, taking another sip of her tea. “Yes, well let’s hope that Hy can at least benefit from having a calm, responsible adult like your father in his life.”
“Hey, are you saying that I’m not a calm, responsible presence in our son's life? I’m offended by that implication, little missy.” Valen joked, giving Lavinia an accusatory look. “And I’ll have you know that it was because of his parenting that I’m the way that I am.” Valen grinned, shooting Lavi a playful wink. “So maybe be careful what you wish for.”
“Oh, heavens forbid. You know I love you but I’m not sure I have the patience to handle a miniature version of you.” she joked, a small smirk on her lips. “I’ve heard you were quite the handful as a child…”
“Hey! I’ll have you know I was an absolute delight as a child! Right, dad?” Val argued, turning to Sena who had now begun to make his way over to them.
“You were, but Lavi isn’t wrong either,” Sena responded, taking a seat across from the young couple as Hysen gurgled happily in his arms. “You were chaotic beyond belief, but I wouldn’t have changed you for the world.”
Valen gave Lavinia a smirk as if to say, ‘I told you so’, earning himself an eye-roll from the other knight.
“Though I still don’t appreciate the time you attempted to trade Chippy for a bag of colourful marbles,” Sena added casually.
Lavinia gasped softly, snapping back to attention as she gave Valen a disbelieving look. “Valen, you didn’t actually…?”
Valen gave an unapologetic shrug. “In my defence, the little fluffball ate my cookies and I was offered some very cool-looking marbles,” he reasoned, earning a mild disapproving look from Sena.
“The worst part is that I would have just gotten him some marbles if he asked. He just really didn’t like my hamsters back then…” Sena remarked dryly.
Valen chuckled, clearly enjoying the exasperation he caused for his father. “Hey, they grew on me eventually! And it’s not like I can get rid of them now since Hysen seems just as obsessed with those things as you are.” Valen teased. “The little guy even wails his lungs out if he loses sight of that little hamster plushie you got him.”
“You’re hardly one to talk considering you threw a fit whenever your tiger plushie went missing.” Sena reminded, turning his attention back to Hysen who was busy attempting to fit his entire hand in his mouth.
Lavinia perked up at that, turning to her husband with a wide grin. “Is that the same plushie you keep in your desk drawer at work? The faded one with the big beady eyes?” she asked, clearly happy to have found something new to tease him about.
“You still have that?” Sena asked, blinking at Valen in surprise.
Valen sputtered slightly, looking accusingly between his father and wife. “Hey- I- Could you two not gang up on me like that?” he asked, dramatically placing a hand on his chest. “I gave you a beautiful grandson to spoil and this is how you treat me?”
Lavinia gave him a pointed look. “You gave him a grandson?”
Valen had the self-preservation to at least look sheepish at that. “I, uh…you know what I mean…” Valen mumbled, studying his shoes rather intently.
Little Hysen, blissfully unaware of the affectionate chaos happening around him, simply blinked up at Sena with big, curious eyes. His chubby little fingers came up to grab at Sena’s hair, tugging at the blonde strands he’d managed to get his hands on. Sena just chuckled fondly, watching as Hysen immediately attempted to put said hair in his mouth. The mage intervened, gently removing the silky strands from Hysen’s grip. “I don’t think that belongs in your mouth, little one,” he teased, giving Hysen’s nose a playful boop. Fates help him, it was like looking at a tinier version of Valen.
After a moment, Sena looked back at Valen with a small smirk, giving his son a lifeline to pull himself out of the hole he’d dug for himself. “My apologies, Val. I just wasn’t expecting Captain Stripey to still be around after all this time.”
Lavinia almost choked on her drink at that. Captain Stripey??
Valen groaned dramatically, burying his now red face in his hands. “Daaaaad. Stooop. You’re embarrassing me…” he whined, refusing to make eye contact with Lavi who was now staring at him with a mix of endearment and affectionate ridicule. Valen rolled his eyes, silently praying to any god that wasn’t Sena that he could just melt through the floor at that moment.
“Alright, alright. I’ll change the subject.” Sena said diplomatically, attempting to soothe his son’s clearly bruised ego. “You mentioned Hysen couldn’t sleep without his plushie?”
Lavinia nodded, turning her attention back to Sena. “Yes, he’s a very cuddly child. If Valen or I aren’t holding him then he needs one of his toys or else he starts getting fussy,” she explained, smiling fondly at her son who seemed completely unbothered, now attempting to latch onto one of the buttons on Sena’s shirt.
Lavinia laughed softly. “Though it seems like you might be his new favourite thing to snuggle with. He’s not usually this well-behaved.” Lavinia noted, sounding almost impressed.
Hysen babbled softly in response as if disagreeing with his mother’s observation, earning a laugh from all three of the adults present.
“Well then, I hope this little one knows that I’m always at his disposal. Either as a powerful mage, a devoted grandparent, or as his personal teddy bear.” Sena hummed, an amused smile on his lips as Hysen attempted to reach for his hair again. “Though hopefully, he realises that being a teething toy is not one of my many talents.” he quipped, watching tenderly as Hysen began chewing on his hand with his small, toothless mouth.
“Yeah, right. We both know you’d cave and let him get away with anything the second he gave you those big, helpless, puppy-dog eyes.” Valen chimed. “Face it, dad. It’s your only weakness.”
Sena sighed softly, gently extricating his hand so that he could give Hysen’s squishy little cheek a gentle pinch. “I guess you’re not wrong about that. You certainly used that trick to get your way more times than I can count.”
Valen grinned in a way that would have been arrogant if it weren’t so genuine. “That’s because I was an adorable kid who deserved to get whatever I wanted.” he declared, puffing his chest out with an air of exaggerated pridefulness.
Sena huffed fondly, rolling his golden eyes in mock exasperation. “You know, I would say I hope Hysen takes after you, but I wouldn’t want to subject poor Lavi to that.” Sena joked, earning a rather indignant sound from Valen.
Lavinia just poured herself another cup of tea, sipping it calmly as she listened to Sena and Valen trade quips, slipping into a comfortable rhythm of playful banter and teasing. She let out a soft sigh, letting herself melt into the comfortable cushions of the couch, knowing that for the next few hours, her husband and son were someone else’s problem. She loved them more than anything, of course, but that didn’t mean she didn’t need a break now and then.
Her eyes flickered back over to Sena, who was gently rocking Hysen to sleep while casually trading verbal jabs with Valen. At the very least, he didn’t seem to mind…
After a lull in the conversation, Sena hummed contemplatively, staring down at a now-sleeping Hysen. “Maybe I should make him a familiar of his own to keep him company…” he murmured, more to himself than anything.
“Please don’t…” Lavinia and Valen answered at once.

Again, thank you so much for the amazing art you've done of Sena, not just for this piece but in general too! I absolutely love seeing art of the weird little guy that lives in my head! And I'm really glad I got the opportunity to help introduce little Hysen to everybody! He's so precious, and I just know that Sena is going to spoil this kid rotten.
If you guys haven't already, please go check out Wind's OC, Lavinia! She's the protagonist of the amazing fanfiction, Knight of The Dark, which you can find on AO3. Links Below! Knight of The Dark on AO3

Please have a read. It's my boy Valen and his dad Sena having a bit of bonding time! And we can't get enough of sick Valen, can we? <3
Thank you Sena for taking care of this young man! <3
Bitter Medicine, Sweet Memories: A Sena and Valen Sickfic (Father's Day Special)

(Credit to @windmaedchen-oceanhorn for the adorable header image).
Fifteen Years Ago: Valen aged 9, Sena aged 30(?).
Sena’s heart ached as he watched Valen squirm fitfully in his sleep, the young boy tossing and turning as he struggled to get comfortable beneath the plush blankets. Valen had spiked a fever earlier that day, and as such, had been placed on strict bed rest. It was just a common cold, as far as Sena could tell, but that didn’t make it any less stressful for him, much less for Valen. In the past few hours, the poor boy had broken into a cold sweat, his face becoming feverish as the fatigue had set in.
Sena rose from his chair at Valen’s bedside, gently removing the damp cloth from the boy's forehead, trying his best not to wake him. The cloth was concerningly warm to the touch, having absorbed the heat from Valen’s skin as the boy slept. Sena ran the fabric under some cool water, before wringing it out and placing it back onto the child’s feverish brow.
Valen seemed to settle down a little bit, his brow unfurrowing as the tension melted out of him. Sena couldn’t help but let out a sigh, somewhere between relief and weariness. He hated seeing Valen suffer like this, even if it was something as minute as a cold. He knew he could just snap his fingers and take away that suffering, restore Valen to full health with just the flick of his wrist and a little magic. And Fates help him, it was a tempting idea.
But Sena knew deep down that wasn’t the right course of action here. Dealing with a minor illness was a natural part of life, one that every human went through at some point. And as much as he hated seeing Valen struggle, that tiny brow furrowed in discontent, Sena also knew he needed to let his son face some trials on his own. Valen needed to build some resilience and fortitude of his own, as Dolly had reminded him. Sena couldn’t just keep him in a safe little bubble all his life. That wouldn’t be fair to Valen.
Sena’s job as a parent wasn’t to wrap Valen in tissue paper and keep him locked away like some fragile little trinket, after all. It was to make sure that Valen was well-equipped to take on the world on his own and to make sure that his son had the love and support he needed to thrive. But, that didn’t mean Sena couldn’t lend a helping hand here and there. That he couldn’t help shoulder some of Valen’s burdens when it became too much for the boy. And right now, that meant keeping Valen’s fever down and making sure he had everything he needed to get better.
Sena ran a gentle hand through Valen’s soft, slightly damp brown hair, soothing the boy until he settled back into a peaceful sleep. He couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at his lips as he marvelled at the child in front of him. Valen, his son. It still felt surreal sometimes, to think that this innocent young boy was actually his to raise. And all because he had taken to following Sena around Holistone like a lost little duckling.
Smiling softly, his golden eyes practically glowing with affection, Sena slowly untangled the blankets, tucking Valen back in so that he was comfortable. He leaned down, placing a gentle kiss on the crown of Valen’s head before going downstairs to get the boy something to eat.
When he returned a little later, he was carrying a tray with a nice warm bowl of lamb stew, a cup of tea, and a small container of Valen’s medicine. The boy stirred awake at the sound of the door closing, his violet eyes fluttering open. He sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes before blinking up at Sena in pure confusion, still attempting to get his bearings.
“Huh? How long was I asleep…?” Valen asked, his voice still groggy and bewildered.
Sena smiled gently, placing a hand on Valen’s forehead to check his temperature. “Just a few hours. But it seemed like you needed your rest.” Sena responded, placing the tray down on the nightstand next to Valen’s bed. “Your fever seems to have gone down at least,” he noted, his expression betraying how relieved he was despite his casual tone of voice.
Valen, ever the perceptive one even at this age, looked down at his hands, fidgeting slightly. “I’m sorry for worrying you…” he said in a small voice, sounding so vulnerable that Sena felt his heart clench painfully in his chest.
He took a seat at the edge of the bed, pulling the boy into a hug and rubbing soothing circles into his back. “There’s no need to apologise, lightning-bug,” he reassured. “I worry about you because I love you. That’s not something you ever have to be sorry for, understand?” he asked, gently stroking the boy’s downy hair.
Valen nodded slightly, his tiny hands now clinging to Sena’s shirt like he was scared the man would just disappear. Sena just held him close until Valen was finally ready to pull away. Releasing his grip, Sena settled back on the edge of the bed, moving the tray to rest on Valen’s lap.
“You should eat something, Val. You’ll need to keep your strength up if you want to get better soon.” Sena suggested.
Valen eyed the stew for a moment, his tiny brow furrowed slightly.
“I take it you still don’t have much of an appetite?” Sena asked softly.
Valen just nodded again. It wasn’t like him to be so quiet. Normally the boy was practically bursting with energy, happy to talk his father’s ear off at every opportunity.
Sena smiled reassuringly. “That’s alright. Maybe you can just have some of the broth for now, even if you don’t want to eat anything solid. I brought you some tea too.” he offered.
Valen seemed to think for a moment, before nodding again. “Ok…” he agreed, hesitantly bringing a spoon of soup to his mouth. Sena let out an imperceptible sigh of relief, just glad that Valen was getting some form of nourishment. After the first spoonful, Valen seemed to realise how hungry he was though, eagerly finishing up the broth and even a few pieces of meat. The carrots, green beans and potatoes, however, sat in the bowl completely untouched. Valen looked at them for a moment, a hint of guilt lingering behind in his eyes.
As much as he didn’t want to eat the remnants, Valen hated wasting food. After all, part of him still remembered what it was like to go hungry before meeting Sena. He stared at the vegetables a moment longer, seemingly conflicted. He really didn’t want to eat any more, but…
Without a word, Sena casually plucked the bowl off the tray, not missing the relief on Valen’s face as he helped the boy polish off whatever was left of the vegetables. Valen gave him a thankful look, before eagerly going to sip his tea.
They spent a little while in comfortable silence, Valen drinking his tea while Sena nibbled on the leftover green beans. Eventually, Valen piped up again. “Do I need to take more of that bitter medicine Miss Dolly gave me earlier?” he asked, already sulking despite not having been answered yet.
Sena chuckled softly. “I’m afraid it’s for your own good, Val,” he responded, watching the way Val’s cheeks puffed up in annoyance. He actually did look a lot like the hamsters when he was like this…
“Do I have to?” he whined, giving Sena the best puppy dog eyes he could muster. Sena always did have a hard time saying no to Valen’s puppy dog eyes.
“I’m sorry, Val. But you really do need to take your meds if you want to feel better.” Sena said, sounding genuinely remorseful. Valen continued to sulk, earning a fond shake of the head from Sena.
“Ok, I’ll tell you what…” Sena began, using that same tone he used to haggle with some particularly greedy merchants. “Once you take your medicine, you can have one of the honeycomb toffees I keep in my office.” Sena offered as if that wasn’t what he had planned to do all along.
Valen’s eyes widened slightly at that, clearly interested in the proposition. Hook, line and sinker.
“And if you’re upset about the bitterness, I can at least suffer with you in that aspect.” Sena joked, a slice of grapefruit appearing in his hands from thin air. The dark pink of the fruit serving as a stark contrast to the golden patterns on Sena’s skin.
“Really? But you hate bitter things? And isn’t that candy from your secret stash?” Valen asked, wide-eyed and disbelieving.
Sena nodded. “Consider it a reward for your cooperation.” Sena joked, adopting a tone of false professionalism. He paused for a moment, his expression softening. “Plus, I love you far more than I hate bitter things, lightning-bug,” he said sincerely.
Valen stared at the medicine container again, as if gathering his courage. Finally, he gave a resolute nod, picking up the container. He met Sena’s gaze with the seriousness of a man heading into battle and Sena had to bite back a laugh at how solemn the boy looked. “On three then?” he asked hesitantly.
Sena nodded in agreement. “On three.”
Valen took a deep breath. “One…two…three!”
Valen brought the container of medicine to his mouth at the same moment Sena bit into the grapefruit slice. Both their faces scrunching up in absolute revulsion as they forced down the bitterness. After a moment, they met each other's gaze, wearing matching expressions of pure disgust, looking utterly miserable. Valen was the first to burst out laughing, pointing wordlessly at Sena’s expression.
“You look like when Mister Whiskers licked a lemon by accident!” he laughed, clutching his tiny ribs as he cackled at the rather unfortunate face his father had made. As much as Sena didn’t appreciate being compared to a random stray cat Valen had met while out in Holistone, even he could see the humour in it. And more importantly, his momentary suffering had given his son a reason to smile despite his current illness.
Sena shook his head, his expression a mask of fond exasperation as he placed the neatly wrapped candy on Valen’s tray. He seemed to be in better spirits, at least. The boy unwrapped the candy, still giggling happily as he took a bite of the crumbly yellow treat. Then, unexpectedly, he held the other half out to Sena.
“Here, this will help with the weird aftertaste.” Valen declared, staring at Sena expectantly.
Sena felt his heart melt as he opened his mouth, letting his son feed him the other half of the candy. He hadn’t expected Valen to share his treat, especially since the boy knew Sena had a whole jar stashed away. Maybe he should get Valen a jar too. Sena did make it a habit to repay any acts of kindness he was shown after all, even if it was something as simple as sharing a piece of candy.
He watched as Valen finished his nibbling, moving the tray back to the nightstand. “You should get some rest, Val,” Sena suggested, earning an owlish blink from the child.
“But I’m not tired,” Valen argued plainly.
Sena let out an amused huff, kicking off his shoes before settling down on the bed next to Valen. “How about I read to you then?” Sena offered, already knowing the answer as he leaned back against the headboard. “At least until you fall asleep.”
Valen nodded eagerly, already snuggling up to Sena’s side. “Yes please!” he chirped. “I want to hear the one about the knights again! And the magical sword in the stone!” he demanded, sounding as enthusiastic as ever despite the dark circles under his eyes.
Sena smiled softly, wrapping a protective arm around his son. He summoned an old tome, opening the heavy leather book and resting it on his knee as he began to read. His voice was low and soothing as the illustrations began to shift and change before Valen’s eyes, Sena’s elegant handwriting blurring as he grew more and more tired. It wasn’t long before Valen’s eyelids felt heavy, his breathing evening out until he was sound asleep, still snuggled up to his father’s side. Sena’s warm, soothing presence had lulled the boy into a peaceful slumber.
Sena shut the book as quietly as he could, placing a gentle kiss on the child’s forehead. Valen’s hands were once again tangled into the fabric of Sena’s shirt as if demanding he stay put even as the boy slept. Without a word, Sena pulled the blanket over Valen, holding the boy close as he allowed his own eyes to drift shut. A deep, contented purr rumbled through his chest before he could stifle it. An instinctive reaction he had thought he had long since buried.
But as Valen snuggled closer, seemingly soothed by the sound and the gentle, rhythmic vibrations, Sena couldn’t help but allow it. Maybe just this once…
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Happy Father's Day to everyone who's celebrating! I hope you enjoyed this fic. A HUGE thank you to Wind for the amazing art she did of father and son. I always love seeing people's stuff about Sena, and the way she draws these two makes me want to tear up at how precious it is. And I hope everyone out there is having a great day, with or without a dad in their lives.

Lavinia is doing her job: protecting Dora from these Adamant Syndicate goons. <3
A piece I commissioned from a friend of mine and excellent artist: CyanLos.
I adore the colours most, as usual. The composition is top, too! Overall a solid 11/10. xD ;-)

In response to @princess-yolena post, sharing gossip about Cyran.
He's playing it cool, but when the snakes reveal too much, then he'll not be so happy anymore. xD
And I have no idea how he managed to sit through the dog's high-pitched barking for a solid 10 minutes. Poor guy.
I am super tempted to make the snake hair semi-permanent for Hypogean Cyran. They are way too awesome! xD <3

My part of an art trade with @enisestudio. Merlin and the bravest and best seafarer there is: Sinbad! <3
Since Merlin is wearing that regency inspired dress, I decided to put Sinbad into regency clothing, too! Not that it is what he would usually wear BUT since his lady runs around all pretty and all, he eventually decided to follow suit and match her style. He is looking good, I think! The colours are essentially taken from his captain outfit.
And yes, he's gonna propose. Don't ask me how that'll look like, but it will be nice and sweet and of course Merlin is gonna say Y-E-S! <3
#my art#afk journey#afk merlin#afk sinbad#thanks again for the trade#it's been great drawing these guys for you! <3

THERE IT IS! <3
These idiots. Of course Valen wrote mostly just to read her handwriting in her diligent responses! ;-) Hogan wasn't worried for a single second... maybe just half a second. xD
Ehehehehehe. <3 Come now, you two. You have been dating for nearly 6 months now, no need to be shy anymore. Thanks again for the trade! Anytime again! :D
@windmaedchen-oceanhorn and I did an art trade! I did this piece of her OC Lavinia with Valen and she made an amazing one for me too of my Merlin with Sinbad 🥹🤍

It's somehow both... speaking down on Path but also... kinda a harsh encouragement to keep giving his all. Again, only Cyran can manage these opposing feelings and meanings all in one sentence. xD
"Your studies are insufficient, Merlin. Chaotic. It is your charisma that bewitches the examiners, not your wit. Is that truly an achievement? It will not be enough when things turn serious. Focus! Merlin!"
*These words echo through the air, uncalled for. It is the voice of the mysterious Court Mage, who knows more than perhaps we would like.* (Magister-Cyran)

And here she is...
... the result of the poll: Valenia!
Whether a man or a woman, Valen will never stop his shenanigans with General Hogan. Obviously this is just a joke but hey, I needed a reason to have Valen put on his charms for the General. xD
I also contemplated about skirt/no-skirt and opted for the shorts and tights, akin to Atalanta. Though, the shorts are a little longer than hers. xD
The deep cleavage was a must. Sorry. Same as Atalanta, again. xD But some artists give male Valen the same deep open shirt, so I think this is canon compliant. ;-)
And finally... I wanted to give her longer hair, like Fay, but with the fur and the cloak it was no longer visible. T_T So I added a small, thin ponytail drawn to the front.
Hope you enjoy Valenia. <3

Aaaaaaaah, Bea. <3 Sweety. Now I want to protect you. From touchy subjects that make you suffer.
Magister... After twenty years of absence I have heard you found your "student" again. Or rather, she has finally found you. Tell me, has she risen to meet all that which you hoped to see in her? Was she truly worthy of all your attention? And are you satisfied with what she has become? (@ Magister-Cyran)
I want to say "Yes"...
I want to say "She met every expectation i put on her, reached every goal she set for herself, became the greatest student anyone could ask for and far more after she graduated"
Do you take pleasure on this? On knowing more than i do? On holding power over me for once?
...
Why i'm i even humoring you?...

The flying menace: worm!
Or her real name: Delilah, also called Della. She is the biological daughter of Hypogean Queen Erin and her King consort Hypogean Cyran. They are just a hypothetical option to allow them to survive the true end game of Merlin versus the Darkness (whatever that may be in the end). More on them is here, here and here.
As for Delilah, here are some headcanons:
Della has no legs, but a nice long snake tail with rattle at the end. She also still has the bat wings, but because her tail is fairly heavy, she can use them only for short flights and in conjuction with her tail's strength of jumping around.
Before she learned to hold her upper body up and stand on her tail, she would try to wiggle herself around, more akin to a worm. That earned her the nickname "worm" from her father. Forever.
She is just as curious as her mother and studious as her father and will use any excuse to sneak around and away to see and figure things out herself. She eventually also sneaks off to Esperia, which causes some issues naturally with her parents.
Della loves her uncle Eugene, so if she DID sneak away, at first she always just headed for the Mystical House to see him and Merlin and the entire crew there.
Having said that, Della absolutely LOVES everything and everyone. xD
Particularly poisonous and otherwise dangerous things. Eugene would let his kids play with spiders all day, so he definitely approves here also, and so does Cyran. Erin is a little stressed about that despite knowing how manageable the actual harm posed to Della is.
Eventually Della also heads out to other places, including Whiteridge. She meets Sigrid (@bentleydings ) there and they become friends as they both grow up. He is the one-eyed lad featured in the drawings above.
Della has some of ther father's weaknesses as well, one of them being a low frustration tolerance with herself. If she doesn't get something right (either by mental or physical ability), she ends up sulking, being utterly unable to accept any help from others. It will need a lot of patience from her parents or friends to deal with her moody side then, and often enough, she'll retreat to sort things out herself.
Unlike Cyran, who ultimately didn't have any patience and help shown towards his frustrations (and so developed the firm believe that only he can help himself to the extend that he won't believe in genuine help from the outside), Della has that support in the background, and she knows full well that after her outbursts, she is still welcomed back into the arms of her parents and friends.
In her adult form, you can see that Delilah LOVES jewelry as much as her dad. He's also obviously spoiling her in that regard, but she likes the regal impression of it. And her manners will absolutely match that! Unlike her mother, who has always been a more reserved "Queen" (both when she was Queen consort of the Lightbearer Empire, and during the short time she served as Ygdris's representative on Esperia and even afterwards in current times), Della thrives on this self-presentation and attention she gets.
About Dellas physique: Her anatomy is closer to a human rather than a snake, just for the sake of keeping it weird. xD Cyran's snake tail doesn't contain anything other than bone and muscle. It is rather similar for Della. Except that she does have her entrails go down through the tail and on and on, until it eventually comes out towards the end of her tail. xD ;-) That made her wearing diapers rather difficult.
Below her waist, she wears a bib that's held in place by a belt at the bottom. That's because she's got the wings at the back, and they are attached to her tail, so she can't have any clothing on her backside below waist.
She can technically procreate but uhm... you don't quite yet need to know the details. xD
Some Family Facts:
The Hypogeans don't technically need to sleep and can maintain themselves magically BUT it is of benefit to allow for actual physical rest even for an immortal being. So after Erin and Cyran begin to rebuilt their broken home realm, the Hypogeans start to incorporate sleep into their lifes. Since Hypogeans never had biological children before (due to the lack of Dura's blessing on their existence), they didn't know this but these kids do need sleep and they will naturally sleep on their own a lot. Even though kids never WANT to sleep, they still also cannot control their magical flow to allow them to go without sleep. ;-)
Speaking about sleep, the royal family has a large circular bed. They RARELY rest all together, to make sure at least one of the monarchs is responsive to the realms needs. But Della LOVES to sleep snuggled up tight against her dad's tail or hiding sandwiched between her mothers wings.
Finally, lemme acknowledge @bentleydings again for actually sparking Della's existence with their sketches (also featured and marked). I never really considered kids, as I still think Hypogeans are made infertile, but then again, as Erin's as the new "god" of Hypogeans, AND with the blessing of Merlin (the new god of Esperia) I could argue that she can bless Hypogeans to receive natural offspring. <3

Reblogging because look at that excellent most accurate portrayal of Valen. Not even the mirror is as perfect as that!
*the door slams open and in comes Magister Cora*
Cora: HAVE YOU SEEN MY FRIEND!? He's small, has eight legs and is in love with my brother!
*unbeknownst to Cora, her little friend has been following right behind her this whole time and a soft cooing noise comes from the doorway, in tiptoes Scuttles, who scurries up to Bea holding a little stick doodle of Valen with little hearts around him and the words "Have you seen my Valen??" In bold scribbled letters*
Didn't know Valen had another sister and a... sea creature affinity

o m g Bea is the queen. She's in all seriousness the audience of her own life. Hilarious. And I love it!
Hello Magister! It's been some time since I could last come round ... I've been rather busy. Bandits pop up everywhere, like daisies! Spring wakes more than just nature, it seems. Ha. Hey, do you have something to drink for me? Anything new and good? My throat's reaaaally dry from all the talking lately. (~Valen)
I think the locals are also getting mixed up...

Sleep-Over at Marilee's place. Fay, Marilee and Atalanta. xD My most colourful picture yet! xD
Temesia was really close to coming as well, but she ended up being too intimidated by the combined power of these extroverted and loud kids. xD

Thank you for these wonderful little recaps! This is what truly happened. 😂😇🙈🙊🙉
Merlinverse Among Us (Session 3 Highligths): Part 2 of 2
Featuring: Mag. Sena (@bunnybird-afk), Mag. Celestino & Mag. Memphis (@meepinmeat), Mag. Beahreth (@beaverthemerlin), Mag. Linnie (@hobbies-miscellaneous), and Dame Lavinia (@windmaedchen).
Round 2 ended up being Hide and Seek where Sena decided to teach his kids how to hunt each other for sport play a friendly game of tag as a team-building exercise. It very quickly devolved into abject chaos. Here’s some of my favourite moments.
Honourable mentions: Us being dead silent for the first few rounds because this mode had us that stressed out. Sena being invisible to everyone else for a solid ten minutes in the Lobby (guess his presence concealment was a bit too strong). Us joking that we were gonna get flashbacks about being chased through The Fungle when exploring Sal’ Thorin in a few days. Everyone else being concerned when they find out the Merlins (and a Heroic Order Knight) casually crash out and chase each other around in a random simulator/uninhabited part of Esperia to de-stress. Hobbs telling us a very fascinating story about traumatising their friends by doing this IRL.
[Linnie is the Hunter]
“Kyaaa! Nope nope nope nope nope!” Memphis shrieked, sprinting through the sand filled corridors. “Leave me aloooone!” She yelled as Linnie trailed close behind.
Beah looked up from the lake, blinking at them both in confusion as they ran passed her. “Huh? What in the world was that??” she asked, a puzzled expression on her face. As the noise faded into the distance, she simply shrugged, turning her attention back to fishing.

[End of Round, Linnie is the Hunter, Crewmates Win].
Linnie: Beah, where were you? I couldn’t find you anywhere??
Beah: Hsbhdu, I was fishing!
Beah: It was fun hearing everyone screaming though.
Linnie: …

[Celestino is the Hunter].
“Uncle Sena, I’m hungry.” Celestino whined while rounding the corner, the flat affect of his voice making the childish statement sound almost absurd. “The Divine Dew wasn’t enough. I’m a growing boy…” he lamented, a small smile on his usually stoic face.
Sena couldn’t help but let out a startled laugh, giving away his hiding place. “Cel, you’re a grown man…” he reminded, his voice tinged with amusement and a hint of disbelief.
“Oh, hey uncle.” Cel greeted innocently before immediately tackling Sena to the ground. “Got you!”
Sena huffed, rolling his eyes even as a small, proud smile played at his lips. “Yeah, yeah. You got me…”

[Between Rounds].
Lavi: I’ve been doing nothing but completing tasks this whole time but I keep getting caught.
Memphis: Is there even a point in doing tasks during this game?
Lavi: …
Lavi: You know what, if you’re not doing tasks then you probably deserve to be eliminated. (-_-)
Beah: I feel like our task right now is to survive! (ToT)

[Sena is the Hunter].
Sena glanced over at the HUD, watching as the little marker flitted around the room at the corner of the map.
“Lavi, I think that’s a dead end sweetie…” he said into the Merlindabest, already making his way to her location. Sena paused at the doorway, watching for a moment as the young knight casually rearranged some files, sorting them into neat, orderly stacks.
“I don’t know this map, ok? Just let me finish my tasks since no one else is doing them!” Lavi retorted, ignoring him in favour of checking on some nearby machinery.
Sena blinked a few times before sighing softly, his expression a mix of fondness and exasperation. “Wow, you really are his god-daughter…” he noted, before calmly padding over to the knight. Without a word, he placed a gentle hand on her head before ruffling her hair affectionately.
[Lavi was Eliminated].

[Between Rounds]
Lavi: You know, this is actually really fun. Maybe I should implement this as a new form of training for the Heroic Order’s newest recruits…
Lavi: Maybe then they’ll stop slacking off during drills (-_-).
Sena: Oh, those poor recruits…
Beah: New form of training, avoiding Dame Lavinia’s wrath. XD

[Memphis is the Hunter].
“Oh Mr. Cyran~ Where are you?” Memphis sang, skipping through the darkened hallways, her eyes glowing faintly as she scanned the area. Catching a sudden glimpse of movement from the corner of her eye, her hand shot out, wrapping around some ones wrist.
Lavi squeaked in surprise before letting out a frustrated groan. “No! I was just on my way to the weapons area!” she complained, frowning slightly at being caught before having completed her self-imposed duties.
Memphis took a moment to process what had happened before releasing Lavinia’s wrist. “You’re not Mr. Cyran…” she sulked, her voice full of disappointment. “Oh well, he has to be here somewhere!” she perked up, immediately continuing her search.
Leaving Lavinia to stare after her, confused and slightly concerned.
[Lavinia was Eliminated].

[Beah is the Hunter].
Lavi’s eyes blazed with determination as she sprinted to the zip-line. It was all on her now, and she could hear her team members cheering her on from the side-lines. Just two more minutes…
As she made her way up the line, she made eye-contact with Beahreth who was staring at her with a shocked expression…from the other zipline, going in the opposite direction…
The rest of the group burst into laughter as Beahreth frantically tried to change direction, but Lavi was already one step ahead. She wove her way through the undergrowth, triggering spores to disorient Beah who was hot on her trail.
Four.
The Hunter tried her best, attempting to circle back and cut Lavinia off on the other path. Her own competitive spirit blazing as the final match drew to a close.
Five.
Three.
Two.
Beah lunged forward, hands outstretched, only to be blinded by another cloud of mushroom spores.
[Lavi Survives. Crewmates Win].

Felt like doing this one in a more narrative style cause it felt fun! Plus, it was nice trying to interpret in-game events in a way that fit our characters. Can't wait to do this again! Love you guys! ^-^
