I think being autistic has made me realize how extremely hostile the environments we have designed are. And I don't mean "this environment is uniquely hostile to me because I am autistic" I mean that even normies are just existing in brutal, stagnant spaces, they have just internalized them as normal. We could have it all, we could live in such a beautiful and fascinating world, designed by humans and for humans who actually enjoy life and it's complexity and wonder. but even now it's like, seen as kinda hippy-dippy bullshit to have "excessive" indoor plants in a workspace or something
#i think about this CONSTANTLY#we deserve more aesthetically pleasing environments#the environments we live in matter#the environment is the collective unconscious#the fact that its barren and ugly is very telling

i’m basically some kind of monk at this point. day after day i sit in my library pondering the tomes and meditating, writing strange alchemical treatises. inventing philosophical mechanisms. i play turn based video games only leaving to buy energy drinks or food or go for a walk in the park. it’s basically… like im living in a beautiful temple. or a cave in the mountains. far away from the world

"these researchers published a paper on something that literally any of us could have told you 🙄" ok well my supervisors wont let me write something in my thesis unless I can back it up with a citation so maybe it's a good thing that they're amplifying your voice to the scientific community in a way that prevents people from writing off your experiences as annecdotal evidence

Fairy Tales are a necessity because they dare speak the truths that the world never wants to hear;
That adults are cruel to children.
That you will suffer injustice, but that doesn't give you the right to be unjust to others.
That there are negative consequences to indulging vices.
That upholding moral principles is always the better path, even in the face of hardship.
That you will die someday.
And that inspite of all the bad in the world, it is worth persevering and finding the love and joy that is out there.

just found out in medieval france, having a lion on your coat of arms was so prevalent that there was literally a colloquial proverb to clown on knights for being basic and not having a real coat of arms. the hate game was so strong back then. imagine medieval hate anons

a lot of people mistake common sense for universal truths. not the same thing. something incredibly stupid and self destructive can become common sense. it happens all the time

so i’ve been playing smt v again. i’m doing the canon of creation now, skipped it the first time. it’s such a vibe honestly. i know people complained about not enough story or whatever, but they don’t get it. smt v is more of a tarot deck than anything. it’s a deck building game where you build the perfect team. also i really like the nahabino
