cannot get over yohan defusing the bomb on gaon’s chest with very palpable sexual tension

gaon never took off yohan’s watch in the end.
even though they’re apart now, they’re still living in the same time as each other.

✅ chasing after a man, afraid he'll disappear from you forever?
✅ meaningfully holding eye contact with one another?
✅ pretending to be the only two people in a crowded area?
✅ gazing tearfully at his disappearing back?
there's just no heterosexual explanation for that ending

we all know how prevalent the dark/light imagery is in the devil judge. the moment gaon attempts to stab yohan is something so dark, both in the action itself and gaon's state of mind, but the room is strangely flooded with light. despite everything that has happened, gaon is still a source of bright hope for yohan. he wants to believe in gaon and wants gaon to believe in him.

does gaon permanently have the keys to yohan's place?? elijah once said that the mansion was like a fortress because there were so many security measures in place. how come 1 emotionally distraught knife-wielding man can make it through the front doors so easily

it's heartbreaking that all sun ah and jaehee have is a business relationship. despite the parallels with yohan and k, at least those two truly cared for each other. it's no wonder that sun ah wants to tear all of yohan's relationships apart, because he yet again has something that she doesn't.

it's pretty obvious why gaon stopped yohan in the first place. it's not because he's naïve enough to believe min jungho's words that yohan is evil. he's not "switching sides."
gaon just doesn't want yohan to descend any further into the hell he was born in, and yet perpetuates. gaon truly cares for yohan's wellbeing and doesn't want him to completely lose the last shreds of humanity he has left.

issuing the death penalty via live voting on broadcast is so NOT IT. gaon made the right move to stop yohan, even if this might be seen as a betrayal or getting in yohan's way

oh jinjoo is such a well-written character. she's ambitious and true to her sense of justice. though she seemed a bit superficial because of her desire for stardom, that never interfered with her in helping others. in fact, she used her charisma to her advantage to trick the higher ups to carry out yohan's plans, despite initially (and somewhat unfairly) being kept in the dark.
she could've fallen prey to sun ah's influence and malevolence, but she was ultimately able to open her mind and seek out the truth for herself.
jinjoo's selflessness and empathy are her biggest strengths, and she is always able to look past the personal goals of those in power in addition to her own to help those in need.

ok but it was lowkey funny when things were going down with the goons and the civilians but yohan, gaon, and jinjoo were just standing there like 🧍🧍🧍. they couldn't help them even if they tried because they were stuck on that platform
