She’s gone

A/N : This is a small part of the story of a universe that I have in mind. I just wrote that for now.  I don't know if I'll write more, but it could be really interesting!! I hope you'll like this already. Also, my english is not good, sorry T_T

Night has already fallen on Vippholia. Lost between two forests, the most famous city in the region does not yet sleep despite the disappearance of the sun. At the Suspended Tavern, the party is in full swing. Hyuna decided to sing. She occasionally sings, especially when Hyojong asks him. Her boyfriend can't get tired of the young woman's unique and incredible voice. On good days, and especially when alcohol has invaded his system, he sings and raps with her. They are not very well known musically, but their love story has been told everywhere and even goes beyond the borders of Vippholia. While many people drink in the tavern and have fun as if there was no tomorrow, there is a short young woman outside. It is in the distance, lost in the dark and dirty streets of the city. The poorly anchored cobblestones in the ground sometimes made her trip. She shouted over and over again for help, no one heard her. The hustle and bustle of the city, the happy couples, the bands of noisy friends, all of this covers the sound of distress and the frightened cries of the young woman.

Why is she running? The question is not the right one. Because of who? That's a lot better. Behind her, with a slow and assured step, he follows her. His gaze darkens. The golden color of his eyes has tarnished and pulls on a dark ochre. Eyebrows frowned and mouth smiling, he walks towards his prey. According to his shattered soul and his mind tangled by the curse, he finds it far too boring to flee. Why does she have to leave? She had told him that he was the only one, that she loved him. But tonight, tonight, she's the same as everyone else and told him it was over.

He loves her so much. He knew she was going to leave, but he never thought it would be so soon. He was pathetic to think that she was going to stay compared to the others. Now he has only one desire: to keep her with him forever. His mind, which he does not control, guides his steps that will lead the girl to a fateful fate. They both arrived in a part of a huge garden. She relies on all the huge hedges to lose him but too bad for her, he knows this place very well and sneaks in with disconcerting ease. At the next turn of a hedge, she turns around and breathes more calmly as she sees nothing. The disturbing figure that followed her flew away in the air. It is, alas, only to reappear behind his back. The dagger stuck in the belt of his pants is drawn and he stabs her. She screams but at the same time the barks of a dog smashes at night, as if this beast was laughing at the fate of the unfortunate girl. It was when the screams stopped that he stopped his movements. He drops to the ground on the filthy soil of this garden. He's covered in blood. His clothes are spotted and his white shirt is now dotted with red splashes. He then looks at his hands and without being able to stop himself, he begins to cry. The pain that tears his heart, prevents him from breathing properly. He hyperventiles and looks several times at the inert body next to him. He puts himself on top of the girl and strokes her cheek still warm, leaving a red trace that follows his finger.

"I love you. I love you... he repeats, sobbing, his throat clenched and his head buzzing.

He recites his words over and over again as if she were going to answer him. As she still said nothing, he said this sentence with more and more rage and anger. He wanted to hit her again! Why couldn't she give him back her love! He has so much love to give! Why can't that fucking corpse give it back?! The dog in the distance still barks and he smiles before calming down. Even when she's dead, he's still pathetic. He then staggers up and rushes into the night. He has to look for a place to wash, because he can't go home like that. Especially since the big day is after tomorrow! The little awareness that he regained the help to move in the opposite direction of the castle. His steps are heavy and dragging. It raps every pavement, every slab that make up the road. The further he goes, the more exhausted he feels. His shoulders become heavy and his legs have trouble carrying him. He threatens to fall several times, but he always narrowly catches up to a wall. Twice. He collapsese twice times along the way, consumed by fatigue. The second time, he can't get up. He then closes his eyes. No longer having the strength to continue, he thinks he'll sleep here tonight, under the stars. Too bad if his friends will lecture him, he has no choice. Yet fate wanted it differently. Like an angel descended from heaven to help a poor soul in perdition, a young girl arrives towards the man. She immediately worries about him and shakes him slightly to see if he is still alive. The groan he emits reassures her as much as it frightens her and she tries to lift it. As she puts her hand on her sleeve, she notices the blood. Hef concern is growing.

"You're hurt! You've got to get up! I'm going to take care of you! Please let me help you! »

He says nothing for a moment, then opens his lips to whisper something imperceptible. Seeing that the girl did not understand, he repeats this a little louder.

"It's not my blood."

There was no feeling in his voice, no remorse, it was just the facts. The hard facts he had endured since the dawn of time, no matter the world nor the moment. The girl lost her cool for a few moments, then regained her spirits and helped him to get up.

"You still have to clean this up... she sighs, before helping him walk to her house, which is not that far away, if he puts his own stamp on it.

"Ji... My name is Ji"
