Editing the text boxes of TGAA not actually as daunting as one might think! (i say, elbow deep in a hex editor,)

The world is now truly my oyster.

I learned about how it can be done from this post. (It doesn't ask you to use a hex editor, I just had issues and, uh, needed some workarounds)

The text and control codes for a *ton* of what's happening in the game are all in the same files. Obviously, I'd be doing pretty minor changes before anything too substantial, but there's a lot of potential here within - theoretically - easy reach.

and of course i'm only using this responsibly.

Hi, I got my hands on the TGAA2 DLC models! And I am using them for normal purposes (grief and Mouse Observation)

I have uploaded the fruits of my extra content model ripping labour so far (and also MD) into a google drive folder if anyone else is in need of them (fair warning: have not tested most of them yet, and you will need to texture them yourself right now, but the components are there. Let me know if you try and there are issues!)

(i screwed up kazuma's shoes in that one. abd didn't notice for ages because i don't pay attention to kazuma's shoes. this is what i get for winging it so much hahaha)

MD w/ the look from the scene. All versions of MD have the full head/face/hair modelled, even though the model used outside of cutscenes never actually gets to unmask (and his eyes and hair are mostly hidden because otherwise they'd clip through).

In fact, the version used outside of cutscenes appears to specifically has a version of its hood that's down. (Yet not the one used in cutscenes!)

As an aside, getting to see the guts of things really does get me to appreciate the cutscene at the end of TGAA 2 case 3 all the more. They made extra textures and model pieces just for all the subtle changes in Ryunosuke's expression in that *one* moment. this guy. augh

hello asoryuu people (a lot of you have appeared) i am not a very consistently posting guy but i do have a small pile of things I did you might enjoy ^u^

Starting with a thing I made while still playing the first game and chewing on what i thought they were and then just. (pours assorted scribbles and 3d poses things on you)

221B Baker Street seems to have lots of gaps in it that are not visible in-game due to the camera angle

Some people on my hands post were interested in Sholmes ( @postsaboutryuunosuke @cz3chovas-pocket ) so here he is. Also included some others. Not everyone has equivalent resting hand positions but with two angles each it should hopefully be easier to compare.

We know who Kazuma *didn't* get his hands from lmao

I noticed a little while ago that Ryunosuke has slightly larger hands than Kazuma. This led to me making some more direct comparison. While Ryunosuke is very much a smaller guy overall, he does appear to have a bit more arm in his proportions.

Announcing the 2025 Asoryuu Minibang

What is a minibang?

A minibang is a collaborative event where writers and artists team up to create fanfiction and accompanying artwork. This minibang is an Asoryuu (or Ryuuaso) minibang where the focus is on the relationship between Ryunosuke Naruhodo and Kazuma Asogi.

How to participate: 

Check the Event Rules & FAQ, fill out the 2025 Interest Check, and then reblog to spread the word.

Dates:

March 15: Interest check opens

March 26: Interest check closes

April 1: Sign-ups open 

April 7 Sign-ups close, and writer summaries are due
