AN: Happy Valentine's Day!

Content Warning: It's a slowburn start, Female Reader, Reader/mc is not really nice here?, Traveler Aether, Golden Boy what the reader/mc calls Aether as she doesn't know his name, shenanigans between Traveler, Paimon and Reader/mc happens.

You stare out into the vast blue sea. It was a nice day, sun out, not too warm. You, reluctantly, sat beside the blonde after much insistence (through patting the spot next to him until you gave in.)

It had been a few weeks since you met him, he was the quiet type but so nauseatingly nice through his gestures.

Granted, you were a quiet one too, but you thought that talking would be a hassle and you two were communicating just fine through body language and sand drawings.

Though his clothes did look...different, out of place, hmm. 

You continued staring into the distance until you heard him tugging at something and looked over to see what it was. As he reeled it in, a white thing flew out of water connected to the end of the fishing line and crashed into you. 

You groaned in pain from the impact, holding whatever the blonde fished up. You down at it, only to discover it was a little girl with white hair, unconscious but breathing. The blondie came over to you two, quickly removing the fishing line. You look at each other then back at her. 

Soon enough, the girl woke up, coughing and taking deep breaths. Once she composed herself, she floated out of your arms, surprising both you and the blonde. 

She looked at you both, “Thank you so much for saving Paimon! She would’ve drowned if it weren’t for you!

You two just stared at her in silence.

“...Can either of you understand what Paimon is saying?” she asked nervously.

“Yeah” was the answer you and the blonde gave at the same time.

‘Wait.’ Your shocked expression turned to meet his equally shocked face. 

The white haired child looked in-between you two, growing more nervous by the second.

“YOU CAN TALK!?”

“Wait a minute! Let Paimon get this straight! You both didn’t talk the entire time you’ve known each other because… you thought you wouldn’t be able to understand each other,” Paimon exclaimed, after learning about the nature of your companionship and a bit of your situation.

“A little, I don't know much about this world’s… language or if she spoke it. So…” Golden Boy trailed off. Then Paimon’s attention switched to you. 

You sighed, “I just thought he was shy, or something. His clothes give away that he’s not from here and I wasn’t about to have a one-sided conversation with a complete stranger.”

This time, Paimon sighed.  

“You’re also an ‘outlander’?” Golden Boy said questioningly, eyeing your clothes. 

You nodded with a smirk, “Perceptive, aren't you? I've been here long enough that I can switch between languages easily.”

The blonde's questioning expression morphed into a slightly worried look.

“Ugh, It’s relatively easy when you have a competent teacher, Golden Boy. We just need to find one for you…”

“Ooh, Paimon can do it!” She exclaimed, “Paimon knows a lot so she can help the Traveler learn and guide you to through Teyvat.”

“Hmm, at least don’t have to search far then. And got a guide to boot,” you hummed, but on the inside you’re just glad you don’t have to teach the Traveler.

Despite your inner doubts, the Traveler has picked up the language easily and quickly. He has applied and practiced his speaking skills… on you. It was uncomfortable to say the least, especially the first couple of tries. 

Luckily that only lasted a week or so, but now, it's time

You told Paimon and the Traveler that you’re going to head to check the place out. But really, you wanted to give them room to discuss their plans while you thought over your own plans as you walked .  

You stopped when you spotted Anemo crystalflies around the Anemo Statue, fluttering around. You slowly swam to the statue, you carefully reached out your hand to them.  ‘Maybe if I…'

A crystalfly fluttered closer to you. Just as it was about to land on your hand, you heard someone calling your name, scaring not only the one you reached, but all of them. 

You looked in the direction of the sound and deadpanned as you recognised the culprits. Paimon laughed nervously while Golden Boy looked away guiltily. You rolled your eyes at them as they caught up to you.

“Sorry about that…” Paimon said. You chuckled sardonically, “Don’t worry about it, I was planning to stay here if you took any longer,” You look at the Traveler, “So you’re ready?”

He nodded as walked up and touched the statue. The next couple of seconds could only be described as both expected and unexpected to you. 

The orb(?) on the statue’s hands glowed as a teal orb with the Anemo symbol came out of it and approached the Traveler. It went into his chest and changed the black ornaments to a teal colour.  

You stared at the statue then at the city in the distance, tuning out Paimon and the Traveler. ‘It’s peaceful today, wonder when it will be ruined?’

…

You broke out of your daze but didn’t turn to face your companions.

“...What are you thinking about?” Golden Boy asked.

“About… your goal,” You said. He stayed silent, signaling to continue, “Paimon and I said we would help with that, but I have a different approach to it. That requires us to split up for a while."

The Traveler’s eyes widened at the last sentence, with Paimon’s “What?! Why?!” following. 

You sighed, “Finding your sister is far from an easy goal, almost hopeless, almost. I’ll attempt to track her down while you go to Mondstadt to ask around.”

You turn to face them, “This going be nigh-impossible, considering how long it could have been. If we split up, we'll have a better chance to find any traces of your sister. When I find something substantial, I’ll come find you, I promise."

“But…” Paimon started but couldn’t finish her sentence.

“It's okay. Believe it or not, I keep my promises,” you said with a confident smile. You began to leave but the blonde grasping your wrist gently.

“I promise to do our best as well. Just… be careful, We'll be waiting,” He said, eyes shining with sickening hopefulness.

You looked at him and gave an amused chuckle. 

“Okay.”

And with that, you departed from your companions, inwardly wishing they don't do something stupid in Mondstadt, like becoming a wanted criminal or something.

After a while, you're engulf in the shadow of a giant dragon flying over you. Sensing unnecessary trouble ahead, you went in the other direction to continue your pursuit.

You will find the information this land has to offer, hidden or not.

After all, you made a promise and you are a woman of your word.

The Light and the Tree

AN: Happy Valentine's Day!

Content warning: Angst?, Fluff?, Male Reader, Abyss Princess Lumine (My interpretation of her at least), yearning happens, takes place before the Mondstadt Archon quest

You couldn’t open your eyes, you couldn’t move, you couldn’t hear her. Not her pleading for you to wake up or lately the occasional chatter. Nothing she’d done could rouse you from the cursed sleep you were placed in. Trapped state of limbo, so close to death but still very alive. 

It wasn’t like the fairy tales where a kiss could break a curse. No, perhaps it was the fact she kissed you that got you here. Or maybe coming in contact with Abyss had poisoned your soul beyond repair. The reason didn’t matter to her.   

What matters now is if there is a way to wake you up and she will find it. She cannot lose you. Not now, not ever. 

Not after the years of travelling together, learning this world’s secrets and learning each other’s secrets. 

She laughed humourlessly as she looked over at the sleeping, cold you. You were in a comfortable bed decorated with flowers, (‘You deserve the best’ she says,) breathing softly but barely moving.

Lumine kissed your forehead, caressing the precious metal on your ring finger. “I love you,” she says, knowing you can’t hear them, the words she wished she said to you so much earlier. 

During your journey, you jokingly referred to yourself as a prince. To the Abyss Princess, you still were, a heroic one who shines so brightly, a source of comfort when your journey became so exhausting and frustrating. 

But this time, when you awake, you rule alongside her as the Prince of the Abyss Order. 

Hopefully, with time, her brother could understand her actions, so that he wouldn't judge her much, especially about the actions regarding you.

...I do not know if you can hear me but, for your sake, let's hope you do."

A sigh is heard

"I had not expected to find you this soon, especially at the end of my fishing rod. I was considering what to make of you and whether I should deal you.

Would you be like your kin who has become disillusioned with this world, or would you be entirely different?

But, there's one person, one of my children, who believes that you will be the latter. That you are... different from your twin, in some way. While I do not share that sentiment, my child convinced me to hold off my judgements and observe you on this journey.

For now.

Let's see if you can prove me wrong and prove that my child's hope in you is worth it.

Now... Wake up."

The blond traveler's eyes snapped open, before looking around to find two pairs of footprints.

One leaving the beach and one going towards it. Following the latter's, the Traveler's eyes met the owner's blank yet expecting ones.

Slowly holding up an apple to take, whether as a peace offer or the opposite.

Venti loves to decorate the house for the holiday season, the wreaths, ornaments and especially the placement of the mistletoe.

Every year, he tries different ways to get you under the mistletoe with him. You find it kinda funny and surprising. You wonder how he keeps finding new ways to do it.

Whether he succeeded or not doesn't really matter because he gets a kiss in the end. (When he did fail, you just held the mistletoe above you two.)

It's a tradition you've grown to look forward to.

-During a New Year party-

You: We have to find him. I'm so worried.

Paimon: Ugh. What do you even see in the tone-deaf bard?

Traveller: Paimon-

You: He makes me laugh and has a beautiful voice that can convince me to do anything?

Traveller: Including paying his drinking bill and leaving Dragonspine for more than a few days

You:... Paying his bills sometimes. Leaving Dragonspine, not so much.

(If you're wondering, yes, you did find Venti. And no it wasn't in Angel's Share. He was stuck in a tree, and it wasn't easy getting him down but when you did, you were met with many kisses on the cheek and a drunken love confession from him.)

Every time, there is a festival in Mondstadt, (especially Windblume) Venti drags you from Dragonspine to the city, to celebrate and drink, (also to force you to socialize with other people).

You don't really like leaving Dragonspine or being in the sun, but you do it because you love him (and he gave you more apples than usual around this time)

AN: Hi, this was supposed posted on Christmas but stuff happened. So Happy holidays and Happy New Year wherever you are. (This is also my first fanfic so yeah, take it as you will.)

Note: Fluff, Female Reader, Reader is referred Dantalion and implied? to be a god, Venti might be OOC, mentions of alcohol.

Snowflakes danced as you hummed gently, filling the silence in the air. Dragonspine during the season is simply perfect for a festive atmosphere. You could see the snowmen, smell the festive treats, and hear the carols and the wind’s laughter.

Wait…

Wind’s laughter?

“Ehe~”

You recognize that voice 

You open your eyes and meet with a green figure jumping onto you, then instantly clinging to a koala, (whatever that is). 

Hugging him back to make sure he doesn’t fall (and not be the reason he gets incredibly annoying and whining about being dropped). You let out a sigh.

The Anemo Archon, The god of freedom, Barbatos, your dearest Venti, is currently squeezing to death. How you missed him and his near-death hugs.

“Venti?” you questioned.

He didn’t respond but instead, look at you in a daze.

“Venti!” 

“I heard you the first time, Windblume. I was just enraptured by your beauty within this snowy atmosphere.”

“Really?” 

“Yes!” He giggled, putting his forehead on yours.

You just hugged him tighter, feeling his warmth.   

“Huh, you sure missed me, didn’t you?” he teased. Instead, of teasing him back, as he expected, you answered honestly.

“Of course I did Snowdrop.”

Venti choked up, blushing but quickly composed himself. “You know how to fluster a bard, you know.”

“I’m aware” you sighed, kissing him on the cheek then noticed something in his hands.

“Is that a bottle of dandelion wine?”

“Mhm, bought straight from Angel’s Share. ”

“...” You stare at him with scepticism. 

“I didn't steal them! After all these years together, you doubt my sincerity,” Venti said, feigning hurt in his voice as climbed off you.

You grab his hands, warm against your cold ones. You let out a sigh.

“Snowdrop, it’s not that I doubt you. It’s that I’m surprised that all.”

“What’s the problem with bringing my favourite wine to share my dearest?

“Nothing but… Dandelion wine costs a lot and you...” you teased.

Venti lets a huff as he turns his head, mumbling ‘I did pay for it, thank you very much’.

You chuckled, then tugged him into you, hugging and feeling his warmth. 

 “Sorry. How about, as an apology, how about we go home and have some hot cocoa, mmh?” you asked sweetly. Ah-hah! This had caught Venti’s attention. He pulled out of your grip and tugged you, in the direction of your home.

“What are we waiting for? Let’s go Windblume!”

As night falls, Venti listens to howling winds outside, as you brought  

“Here you go.” 

Venti took a sip of it and smiled at you

“You made my favourite,” He said softly. You returned the smile.”Only for my favourite bard during the festive seasons.”

“Well, since I’m your favourite bard, surely my dear muse, you have- 

“Don’t worry, since I have more, in storage.”

 Venti’s eyes lit up as jumped to and gave you a peck on your lips, before dashing off.

Touching lips and staring off into space, you thought ‘I wonder how long it will be before I have to drag him to bed.’

“Huh… you really helped yourself, didn’t you Snowdrop” you sighed, dragging, carrying him to bed.  

“Hehe… Windblummme~” Venti giggled, leaning on you as you. He smiled up at you as if he didn’t just drank most of your wine. 

You sighed as you tucked him into bed, then started to caress his hair. 

“Snowdrop, how do you feel?   

“Hehehehe, good, really good~”

“That’s good, now move over.”

You climbed into the bed, and laid down next to him 

Immediately he start to cling on to you and started to slur.

“Hmm, Windblume, you’re cold! Let me wrap you up”

He began to (messily) wrap in your blanket. 

“Thank you, Venti."

Then silence.

.

“Windblume, will you stay with me for the rest of our lives together?”

“Of course, my love.” 

“*Hic* So marry me~

“Snowdrop, we’re already married”

“Even better~”

“Please go to sleep.”  

“Hmm, only if you hum. I heard you humming our song earlier… So… Could you hum it again, Dantalion?"

You sighed lovingly.

“Okay, Barbatos.”

Exorcist Brainrot

as I was brainstorming the story for the retainer, I saw something interesting and began to think

What if the twins were both the leaders of the Abyss Order...

and what if an exorcist from another world, took their place as the protagonist and who has no idea what was going on.

They could do just their thing (helping spirits and purging monsters) and do what they wanted. When they kinda got roped into the first archon quest, they have taking on a behind-the-scenes approach and were cautious about everything and everyone.

imagine travelling around Teyvat with Paimon while slowly gaining power, getting your weapon and finding a way back. While gaining some unwanted attention in the process.

PS: There is so much more to the exorcist than meets the eye.

(I know that Aether and Lumine are supposed to make the players feel like their a part of the story. But I'm interested to see the MC be more behind-the-scenes and more morally grey about certain topics)

The Retainer brainrot

I have been brainrotting over the concept of the Traveller (Aether/Lumine) having a servant/bodyguard reader after forming a pact with them.

But is much more than meets the eye, especially with this gorgeous retainer. (You are all gorgeous and nothing can change my mind)

They wear a mask resembling a crystalfly and have a monochromatic colour scheme with hints of gold, silver and blue

Imagine travelling with Paimon and Traveller around Teyvat, doing everything the traveller asks of you and having to comply since they are your master.

Imagine gaining the interest of many of the genshin characters and having to deal with it.

The tired and 'I'm gone with everything' energy just radiates off the retainer.
