It had been a long time since this started to happen, but Hestia still remembered the first time. It had scared her when her comforting aura had not work, been blocked even. Yet even now she still tried.

“It will again one day, my dear. There is a way to do it, we have just not found it yet.” Warm hands wrapped around her sister and held her close. With Kore found once more, it seemed like only a matter of time. “I won’t give up trying.”

                                her dear little sister have always been the light that brought hope into the hearts of those in need. demeter remembered how it warmed her back when they were younger, still at the start of their existance. but now, it felt so foreign, so... out of place. 

                                “ i admire your persistance, hestia dear, but i am afraid... there is not a thing that can be done, not anymore. the mortals have lost their hope in me. and how could they not? i have lost the power that i held over seasons. even though i want, i can no longer show them mercy and bring spring forward. “ she has failed as a mother, and as a goddess. as a protector and caretaker, she has failed.

mythologically, they do! and while i will always happily interact with despoina and areion, i don't favour force shipping.

                                           being the eldest on olympus, demeter was no stranger to this process. the process of fading. she’s seen many gods that had gone and past, forgotten and replaced, and when she looked at herself, she understood. she didn’t fear it, perhaps in a strange way, she even welcomed it. for who better than the goddess of life and seasons knew that nothing was permanent, nothing was forever, not even the ones who caled themselves immortal.

                                          her sisters were always welcome on olympus, even though they both have left the mountain long ago, but the goddess of harvest did seem confused, seing hera there. “ ah. “ she spoke, her voice quiet and questioning. “ hera. i have not expected you ro visit this place any time soon, sister dear. what brings you up here? “ she had a feeling that she knew. the news of her state had probably reached the other. but she payed it off as oblivious. no need to upset hera.
