Hi Minnie! I hope you’re well.

There’s this one Stucky fic I’ve been thinking about lately that I cannot find again for the life of me, and I was wondering if you or your followers might be able to help.

The plot was as follows (from what I remember). Pre-serum Steve grows up without Bucky or any other friends and gets experimented on, and instead of turning into a super soldier he gains the ability to command people with his voice (like Killgrave from Jessica Jones). But the catch is that he needs to know the other person’s full name in order for his ability to work. He uses this ability to get revenge on all the people that bullied him and to command people to be nice to him. At some point he meets Bucky and realizes that his abilities don’t work on him because “Bucky” isn’t his real name. He quickly becomes obsessed with Bucky because he’s the only one that’s nice to him/defends him of his own free will. However, Bucky catches onto the ways that Steve is coercing other people and taking out his deep seated resentment on them, and decides that he can’t defend Steve’s actions any longer. When he tells Steve this, he also reveals his full name, because he wants Steve to have a choice: either let him go, or use his powers on him knowing that any future “friendship” will be something forced. As Bucky’s walking away, Steve uses his powers to command Bucky to cut his (Steve’s) tongue out. This ends Steve’s powers for good, and Bucky comes back to himself with Steve bleeding from his mouth. Steve knows that Bucky won’t leave him now because he’s defenseless again.

stucky is great becausethe russo brothers were like “i want to make a movie about war and brotherhood” and the american military industrial complex was like “and you’re gonna make recruitment propanganda for chris evans” and sebastian stan was like “the studio has tricked me, gossip girl trained sebastian stan, into being here, so i’m going to portray a closeted homosexual” and chris evans was like “i’m in a us army commercial!”

the thing about captain america the first avenger is that it tries really hard to sell the idea of Bucky being a macho womanizer. Too bad they cast Sebastian Stan, the master of sad longing gazes you'd normally only ever see in eastern european gay porn.

the most disorienting thing thats ever happened to me was when a linguistics major stopped in the middle of our conversation, looked me in the eye, and said, "you have a very interesting vernacular. were you on tumblr in 2014?" and i had to just stand there and process that one for a good ten seconds
