Do you think Valtor likes cuddling?

I think he likes it, I think we all humans (most of us at least) likes physical contact

Valtor who usually use his charm to manipulate people would also use physical contact to it, a soft hand on the shoulder, holding around the waist, have a hand to the persons head to make them lean against him (all of these touches can be shown as dominant move to show who is in control)

make the person swoon over him perhaps and if the person ask for cuddling with him, he wouldn’t say no and see it as a small victory for have made the person completely trust him and can use the person for his own evil plans.

I feel like people forget how much of an absolute unit Valtor really is and that leaves me with incredible misery, to say the least.

If you compare the known winx heights standing next to Valtor via height comparison sites, he is standing around a whopping 200cm/6'5…

So I was researching Valtor in various languages and I stumbled upon Valtor’s Italian Wikipedia page. As you know, Winx Club is an Italian show. Translated it via google translate, obviously since I don’t speak a smidge of Italian and there was something very interesting.

The paragraph above explains everything and through the translation, here’s why:

“He is secretly in love with Bloom.”

So it indeed has been edited multiple times, but how come this sentence has never been deleted?

The answer? Because it’s true. He is in love with Bloom. It’s that simple.

It is written all over his part of the plot in Season 3. When he first met her, he immediately asked the Trix who she is and ordered them not to touch her because according to his words “she is mine”. Also it all finally ties together, why he was almost caressing her when he met her in her fairy form and why he ranted over and over again of how he needs someone to share his powers with.

He found every chance to talk to Bloom. And of how he had many attempts of asking Bloom to join him. But she always refused, because she is too kind-hearted and “good”, and he is not.

This now-called-love is one-sided and there’s nothing that can be done about it.

Or is there?

Firstly, I know you’re all immediately thinking that Dark Bloom could be one way for them to be together, however although it indeed it interesting, that is definitely not the only way.

He is dark and she is light. They’re polar opposites, but opposites attract and the best chemistry between two individuals comes from that. That is why most sparxshippers are a fan of this pairing. It’s the whole “They’re so different yet so similar” concept that constructs the best stories.

Bloom is known to have powers of ressurection and if you take into account Valtor’s circumstances that made him strive to becoming evil, you can think of ressurection as redemption, which is hands-down my favourite trope.

I have mentioned this in another post, but Valtor never chose to become evil prior to the Ancestral Witches’ death. They are his creators, or mothers in a sense and the relationship between them is not the best, to say the least. They granted him magical knowledge and told him not to fail. During Season 3 we see Valtor’s attempts at overtaking the Witches and so it makes sense why he wants to become the most powerful sorcerer in the universe. He had this idea beaten into his mind that only by achieving his goals will he finally be able to befree himself from the curse that was laid upon him by his mothers. They use him as a tool, they manipulated him into becoming the monster that he is now. And everytime he would fail, they would turn him into the epitome of the monster they made him out to be.

However, he couldn’t escape since the Ancestral Witches raised him in a way that he can only identify himself by his powers, just as he says “I am yet again, Valtor.” everytime he regains his powers. It makes sense why he is like that now. He became evil out of pure survival instinct. He had no other choice. It’s pretty twisted, really.

So is Valtor innocent?

Yes and no. He has done some very horrible things to the universe itself and its residents. It cannot be ignored.

Nevertheless, innocence isn’t a requirement when it comes to redemption arcs. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see Valtor as being completely “good” considering he was born from the dark side of the dragonfire but “goodness” is entirely subjective. What is an entirely good person, really? Do they exist?

The real requirement to Valtor’s redemption is his volition to redeem himself.

The most common way of volition for redemption is either through sacrifice or love, and well, to conclude, if the circumstances are right, since he is secretly in love with Bloom, that is definitely possible.

In this post, I will share my observations on the relationship between Bloom and Valtor throughout the entire 3 seasons.

If you are as much a fan of this OTP as I am, then you probably noticed that Valtor is very careful about Bloom. He does not make any attempts to destroy her or deprive her of strength, the last episodes of the season are an exception, but even there it looks harmless. He does not allow himself to respond to her attacks, preferring to conduct dialogue, while the rest of the fairies suffer from evil spells.

Valtor very often says something, constantly touches on topics that are important to her, in order not only to save herself, but, possibly, to help her in some way. Because Sky is absolutely useless in this regard. Valtor understands how important it is for Bloom to find her parents, so he often turns around this topic, this is her weak point and his chance to become a little closer to her. He leads the dialogue calmly, often with a smile and rather courteously, like a gentleman. You just look at his face when he is talking with Bloom, and when he sees other fairies.

He lets her hit herselfas I said, he does not touch her, but allows him to touch himself. This can be justified by her strength and all that, but let’s not fool ourselves)  His desire to save her life is seen even in the final battle, when for the last time he offers her to join him: ”… join me and I will be able to control my body, and together we will destroy the ancient witches, their strength and knowledge of all the planets will become ours. And don’t forget Bloom, we are one and the same.“

Their meeting speaks for itself. When they did not know who is who / When they know each other 🔥
