Every time I go looking for a visual reference for a weapon from BG3, I am reminded that the in-game weapon models are ridiculously big. Some of the daggers are essentially short swords, some longswords are greatswords, etc. The great sword Lae'zel is currently using in my game is a giant zweihander that's taller than she is, but honestly, good for her.

Thinking about Ansur and the beautiful bronze dragon he once was. Pity we never see him in his fully glory (though it does amuse me how recent D&D media goes out of it's way to give us kindof unusual dragons as antagonists - BG3 gives us an undead dragon and red one possessed by an ilithid mind. Honor Among Thieves admittedly gives us a black dragon, briefly, but then brings the focus on Themberchaud.)

Man, I love drawing dragons.

Kudos to any Emperor fans who regularly draw the snazzy squid because drawing that armor is a nightmare.

Dear BG3 comminity, there's a blog called @craftychopshopbluebird that steals BG3 content from users to push a link onto people. I have explained the details in this post. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IN THEIR POST.

I'm sharing the screenshots - maybe you will recognize your art/or a person that the content belongs to and can let them know. This way the content owners can report their work being stolen directly + file the impersonation report.

Rambling about my OCs always makes me feel a little bit like a crazy person because I’m spending so much time just writing/talking about these silly little guys that primarily exist in my head. Which is weird because I love seeing/reading about other people's original characters and don't even question it.

ANYWAY, I think I’m going to draw some bg3 villains next because I encountered Raphael again in-game, and I forgot just how much I love that malicious scheming theater nerd.

Some random bits of info about Professor Arthur Dekarios of New Olamn (aka my Tav post-epilogue) because ideas related to this concept keep popping up in my head:

Teaches about the history of Faerûn and a unique class covering the Blood War.

Definitely has some books he lends that he stole from the House of Hope.

Always arrives 10 or so minutes late.

Gets sidetracked easily during lectures if you ask him weird history questions.

Loves to share stories about his late friends/companions but seldom about his own life or adventures.

Randomly drops personal lore that he won’t elaborate on. For example, a student might ask him if he’s a fan of Volo’s work, and he will say, “Not since he cut out my eye,” and then say nothing else regarding that topic.

Popular with students, hated by certain parents & staff.

Whenever students from Blackstaff and Olamn meet, the Blackstaff apprentices regularly need it clarified that there are, in fact, two separate Mr. Dekarios’s, as they immediately assume that Gale is just teaching at a dozen or so different schools using simulcarums.

Has been repeatedly told by adminsitration that he’s not allowed to refer to the goddess of magic as “His husbands bitch ex.”

Has been repeatedly told by administration that he can’t exit the school using windows or balconies. As- It doesn’t matter what flying/teleportation spells he has; it sets a bad example for students.

Has been repeatedly told by administration that magical beasts are not allowed on school grounds unless they are registered familiars.

Would’ve likely been fired at this point if he hadn’t saved the Swordcoast from a potential mindflayer invasion.

Schedules his lectures and classes at specific times so he can eat lunch with Gale.

Has a personal grudge against the seagulls that linger around the college building.

Loves to promote the Blackstaff vs Olamn rivalry. Arthur just finds it amusing to ironically shit talk the academy his husband teaches at. It also gives him an excuse to see Gale when supervising events between the two schools.

Still, somehow not as big of a menace to the Waterdhavian education system as Gale, who, despite coming across as far more well-mannered, is infamous for having opened a portal to Avernus inside of Blackstaff Tower on one occasion. (He wanted Karlach & Wyll to do a guest lecture.)
