hi!!

its been a while, right? :") i should probably preface this by saying that this is not me returning, but rather a way to tie up loose ends.

i've taken the last year to kinda just live? i started this account when i was in a really rough spot in life - big mistake. not good to have a platform when you're not stable, i've learned. last year really taught me that.

anyways, yeah. since then i've been going to therapy, learning how to improve as a person; learning how to be better. (i hope i am at least a little nicer now. only the people around me can really judge that, haha) finding meaning in life; finding my passions. its been a rocky road. but now?

i am happy.

really, truly, happy. i am glad i lived; i am glad im living. which is something i never thought would be possible a year ago.

thank you all for the shortlived, yet very very sweet memories i had on this blog. i am sorry to the people i hurt, the people i disappointed. i am thankful for the people who made me laugh, and helped me find comfort in fictional characters. i wish you all happiness :)

i'll keep this blog archived, but this is (a long overdue) official goodbye.

i made my first post on this blog at the end of august. unfortunately (/j) it was a childe fic. but at the time, i was just getting back into writing. i had been on a 2 year hiatus because of things that happened on my previous writing blog which completely turned me off from writing as a whole. it was also at the peak of covid and my life in college was spiraling very quickly out of control. writing was the least of my worries then. but come august, and i’m fresh out of college and work and i think to myself��“let me try this one more time.” 

and here we are!! 

i just want to thank genshinblr as a whole for being such a wonderful community. i’ve never felt so welcomed and safe in such a long time, it’s been one of the best experiences. there’s always something to laugh about, someone to talk to, something to read and i love that. thank you so much for making my 2021 <3

I’ve established this blog by April this year and I couldn’t be more grateful with all the support and praises I’ve received from each and everyone of you. I am not the best out there, I know. But I’d still like to thank everyone for everything that had occurred these past few months. I met and talked to so many people & it’s what kept me going in the midst of what had been happening in the world and my private life. This blog is a uplifts me when I’m down but I cannot say it doesn’t do the opposite because it does, but seeing everyone’s comments, likes or reblogs inspires me to be better and outgrow my worries. I cannot tag everyone because most of you are anons, but I really really appreciate all of you. A New Year

Description:Keqing reflects on her relationship with you, and how it has changed over the past 8 months, 7 years later.

A/N: listen to Mamamoo's Happier Than Ever here while reading. Lyrics are not in order nor is it fully complete. This is based on personal experiences, and will be my last work as a genshin girls writer offically. Further writing would be considered leisure and not official.

Have you ever… loved someone till the point where it changes you?

That was the feeling you gave me, for the past 8 months.

We don’t keep in contact that much, but I thank whatever higher power there is, even if I don’t believe in archons, for letting you enter my life and moulding me into who I am today.

Even if you’re no longer around, cheering me on.

We say goodbye now I’m sure we had a great time back then It was awkward when we first met Obviously we had a great time back then

I don’t remember many things about you, because it’s been so long since I last saw you. I don’t remember your voice, nor do I remember the way your eyes shine anymore. The best I got is all the pictures I see you on Instagram, laughing and smiling with your friends.

Back then, in school, all I really cared about was my grades. Not friends, not games day or all the snacks back in school, just… me. At least, that was what I told myself, in order to cope with the fact that I always felt so lonely deep down.

The first time I met you, we were in the same class. Back then, I didn’t know how to talk to others that well. You were the first to reach out to me. The first person who I could really call a friend.

Do you remember? On that summer day Sweating and opening the window and the wind blowing Why was it so good? I remember smiling when our eyes met

We always hung out a lot. Whether it be through our mutual friends, or just the two of us, everything was so good. Even as we were out in the field during Phys Ed class, it didn’t stop the two of us from being crackheads, lagging and smiling.

You were there for me when I cried, when I believed that I was alone and could only rely on myself. I was there for you, when your friends were fighting and you didn’t know who to turn to, who to confide in. Through our highs and lows, we always had each other, even if we didn’t always talk.

Before I knew it, 2 years had passed, and we had graduated from school. I still have the birthday card you gave me back then, the first time that I ever got a gift from someone who wasn’t a family member. The contents of that letter, with that silly Olaf drawing… they ignited the hope in my soul. You have no idea how you changed me for the better. I wouldn’t be who I am today, and with all my achievements today, without the initial push from you back then.

How can we forget all these things? With two syllables, saying “good-bye” like this Whenever I hear this song, everytime I do, maybe I think we will, at that time, I’m sure we will, at that time…

I don’t remember our little conversations back in school anymore. I can’t remember the way your eyes light up whenever you’re excited, nor can I recall your voice anymore. Even when I see you on instagram, I know you’re not the lotus flower girl of my memories from so long ago. You are now a stranger, and we barely keep in contact. I do not know the you now, but I believe that you are as lovely as the younger you that I knew back then, under the sunny sky.

Memories of being together Are these memories we want to keep? Or is it a nightmare we want to push away? No, we might hate each other right now Yes, it makes me cry a lot, too But let’s not hate each other, let’s be happy I’m sure we had a great time back then...

Would you hate me if you saw me now? For I am no longer as innocent as I once was back then. I have grown tired of so many things in life, all the politics that I see around me. Would you despise me? For being who I am? For still shutting out people even though you have told me to let them in? I don’t know. Would I hate you if I realised you are not how I imagined you to be anymore, even though one should never expect anything? I don’t know. I haven’t talked to you for so long, other than pleasantries regarding our birthdays and that one time there was this inter-school camp. Even then, I could feel the distance between us.

Yet. I hope that when you look back at the time where we talked to each other almost everyday, you would reminisce with a smile on your face. For just like how you brought happiness and hope in my life, I hope that I have done something similar to you. Even till today, I regard you as my benefactor of my youth, and I don’t believe I would ever forget you. I even had a crush on you once, but now that I look at it, I know it was simply admiration. Still, first love… you were someone really amazing, you know that?

The year 2021 is ending. Tomorrow, when I wake up, I know that we both have to throw ourselves into the life that is our national examinations for college. I don’t know if I’ll meet you again, or if I’ll somehow manage to go overseas. (Though that’s what I’m hoping for) Between the time we embarked on our own journey, I’ve listened to your advice. I’ve found friends who I can confide in, and now I can confidently say that I’m not alone anymore. I did it, y/n. You were right all this time. Pfft, I can’t believe you were that mature since young. But I’m glad I got to meet you at that point.

Hi! This is Sherry. A few of you might recognise me better from my main @shxnosuke and a few from the discord server Liyue Harbor.

I haven't been here for long, but it's been a wild ride with all of you. I've had so many unforgettable moments in Genshinblr and made so many friends. 200 followers isn't as many as a lot of Genshinblrs out there, but I wouldn't have gotten here without any of you. So thank you, whoever that's reading this.

To my mutuals that I didn't mention, I'm sorry that I haven't interacted much. As of late, my online social battery is slowly starting to become similar to my irl social battery (= very low). Plus, I haven't interacted much with you due to my own awkwardness. Either those or I'm still a little too intimidated to mention you. No matter what, I want you to know that I appreciate you being mutuals with me. Next year, I hope I'll be able to find something to chat about with you and get to know you much better.

I check up on your blog every now (well definitely not because I want to know how you’re doing). I recently came across an ask where you said, “go easy on yourself. coming from me it’s a bit hypocritical since i’m a perfectionist, but the way to get better at writing is to practice. so if your first fifty works are terrible, that doesn’t matter bc it’s all practice for the things you’ll write and be proud of later”. And well damn I saved it down bc I always feel shit about my writing and yk that really helped me.

You know that letter you posted before the New Years? I read it and I almost teared up. I’m so happy for you that you became someone that you wanted to be. I’m so proud of being able to know you, a person who overcame all her difficulties and grew into a person she liked. I may be older than you, but you’ve grown so much more than me and there’s so much I can learn from you.
