nobody told me I had to keep going…
The thing with publishing a novel is that I now have to actually write the second book. It doesn’t just magically appear on the page. Who knew?!

Debuting my debut novel.
THE DULWYCH HAUNTING was released yesterday and I am feeling a little...under- and OVER-whelmed.
I think maybe the underwhelming part comes from the fact that I am only releasing it as an eBook through amazon. Not having a physical copy to hold in my hands, pages to flip through, spines NOT to break, feels like it hasn't actually happened yet. I've spent so long writing it. Then the editing process was difficult as I was hospitalised during it. And all the learning about formatting, marketing etc
It's was all for THIS moment. Now this moment is here and it's a case of 'so what now?'
Overwhelmed because I have friends and colleagues praising me and being so nice about it all and I am not comfortable with compliments. My cheeks have been redder than baboon's arse this last week. Wallflowers are not supposed to move front and center.
