Journal Entry #2 The Baron and the Witch
Bloody Baron — that’s the name they give him. The one who rules over Crow’s Perch. Phillip Strenger is his real name. A drunk, a brute, and supposedly a husband and a father.
I went there to ask about Ciri. The villagers stared, afraid — same old song. To even get to the baron, I had to crawl through a cave full of monsters. Of course.
He was wasted. Slurring. Still, he wanted something from me — his wife and daughter had vanished, and he couldn’t find them. Turns out they just ran from him.
I found Tamara, his daughter, in Oxenfurt. She’s fallen in with the witch hunters of the Eternal Fire. A damn shame. Still, she’s determined to find her mother. The place has gone to shit. Redanian soldiers at every corner, checkpoints, rules, fear. You need a pass just to cross a bridge.
Helped a widow in Lindenvale, cleared a monster nest, killed more wolves than I care to count. I hate killing wolves.
While looking for the witch Ciri argued with, I ran into Keira Metz. She's hiding out in a broken-down cottage, posing as a herbalist. Told me about an elven mage, a magic lamp, and the fact that the mage had been searching for Ciri.
We went to the ruins — the elf had left signs for her, but the Wild Hunt got there first. Fought like hell, barely made it out. No trace of Ciri.
Afterward, Keira mentioned something else: the Ladies of the Woods. I had to seek them out.
Helped a godling named Johnny get his voice back. Turns out Ciri was in Crookback Bog. Filthy place.
The Crones… hideous, vile creatures. Luckily, she escaped them.
I also learned that the woman tending the orphans in the swamp is Anna — the baron’s wife.
I passed all the information to the baron. In return, he told me Ciri had left Crow’s Perch and headed to Novigrad.
Might be time to find Triss.
I promised the baron I’d help him get Anna out of the swamp. I promised Keira I’d help her too.
Lot of promises. Too many, maybe.

Journal Entry #1 - The White Orchard
It all started there.
Vesemir and I dealt with the griffin — messy business, as always. Right after that, Yennefer found me. Not the other way around. She never makes things easy.
Together we rode to Vizima. She wanted me to meet Emhyr var Emreis. The court, the robes, the pomp — pointless.
Then came the only thing that mattered: Ciri.
She's back. Or at least, the Emperor thinks so. Wants me to find her and bring her to him.
Not going to happen, you idiot.
Saw a sketch of what she might look like now. Grown. Sharp eyes. Still Ciri — but changed. She’s beautiful.
Yennefer barely gave me time to think. Said I had to move, follow her trail. She went to Skellige. I’ll catch up.
For now, the path leads into Velen. And the trail's already going cold.

Journal Entry #0 – Too Many Threads
didn’t use to keep records. Never needed to.
But the longer this chase drags on, the more threads tangle. Names, deals, lies, half-truths wrapped in blood and swamp mud. Everyone has something to say, and no one tells the same story twice.
Ciri’s trail is cold, warm, then cold again. One minute she’s at Crow’s Perch, the next she’s running from the Crones in Crookbag Bog. Every lead opens three more.
Can’t keep it straight in my head anymore.
So I’m writing it down. Not for poetry. Not for memory. Just so I don’t lose the thread.
She’s out there somewhere. I just need to follow the right path. And not forget which ones I already walked.

Foreword
Geralt doesn't write just any diary. He writes to remember. These are his notes — scattered, worn, but maybe they'll lead to Ciri.
