And then another character in the group, upon realizing this, goes "oh, instead of a cold, you catch a hot!"

this may make me a sadist, and i've also possibly said this before, but watching someone struggle with a stuck sneeze is almost if not just as hot as an actual sneeze

Thinking about the vulnerability in quietly watching someone come down with a cold — witnessing the progression from a barely noticeable rasp in their voice to some scattered sneezes to a hoarseness they can’t shake and congestion they can’t clear until they finally admit yeah, they’re not feeling well.

Apologetic sneezers are very cute and I love them, but what about someone apologising for not sneezing?

Someone going "wait, I need to sneeze" and pausing for a long moment with their lips parted and eyebrows furrowed, only for the tickle to subside and an awfully casual "ah, sorry, it's gone"

Someone going quiet and not paying attention because they're trying to hold back. When asked if they're listening, they offer a "sorry, I thought I was going to sneeze..."

Someone sniffling and rubbing their nose a lot, then explaining "sorry - I can't start sneezing or I won't be able to stop!"

Someone inducing for their partner, but they have a mental block. Their breath hitches and hitches, nostrils twitching, but the sneeze is stuck. They're flustered and blushing and keep apologising.

someone pausing a conversation to dramatically announce, through already hitching breath, "I'm gohh- gonna sneehhze- hiehh-!"

just to then stifle the sneeze(s) into almost pure silence~
