hey everyone, i know i've been inactive on here since 7.0 dropped (had some really sudden pet deaths and also the semester started), but i just wanted to say i'm moving my xiv related activities over to a new blog @tenebraelemurum! i want a fresh start for the graphics upgrade and also i have way too many followers on here for me to be comfortable sharing my thoughts about the game and oc lore anymore no pressure to refollow me, but that's where i'll be from now on!

the fc humored my request for group photos to celebrate the end of endwalker (and our 1.5 year anniversary!!). it was a spontaneous and wonderful time ;w;

the voice of my 11th grade journalism/12th grade creative writing teacher who rly did know everything: if you stop writing for a while the words will build up and stagnate. to clear the water, you will have to open the dam completely, and accept the fact that what initially comes out will not be palatable

oh, just as a heads up, i will not be posting any spoiler content for dawntrail on this blog for a month following early access! and when i do, it will be tagged with '7.0 spoilers' for another three months.

hello! i've been living on dynamis (specifically seraph) since it opened up in nov 2022! i've had my home world on all three of the other NA dcs prior to coming here, so i feel like i have a lot of perspective when it comes to each data center. first of all, i love it here! dynamis definitely has the reputation of being the suburbs of NA, which it deserves. most people came here for housing, which definitely shows in the active player base. we do have a lot of personal housing available (fc housing is a bit more hit or miss due to people hoarding plots for fc workshop reasons). our most populated worlds are seraph and halicarnassus by far! even then, it is pretty quiet compared to any of the other dcs. the biggest complaint people have about dynamis are the queue times. they are terrible. it's a bit of a cyclical issue in that everyone uses dc travel to get their roulettes done, thus leading to worse queues for people who stay to try to get their duties done which forces them to eventually leave if they want their queues to pop. i think i've only gotten my alliance roulette to pop here twice. that being said, our pf is surprisingly helpful for getting roulettes and other content done! if you need help clearing anything for msq, i would recommend putting up a pf for it rather than queuing through duty finder. there's a pretty large group of people who spend their time just watching pf and joining parties for anyone who needs help. hopefully things will pick up for us with the release of dawntrail!

Do any of you play FFXIV on the Dynamis data center? If so, do you like it there? I'm thinking of moving worlds and I'm wondering.

And if you feel like elaborating, I'm also curious about stuff like queue times, how populated it is, and so on. I'd really appreciate any opinions you might have! Thanks!
