I'm not allowed to play paladin with one of my playgroups anymore, because the last time I did, one of the rogues in my party decided kill a townsperson in front of me "just to see what would happen," and the moment she did I used a smite evil and killed her instantly. Everyone else (except the DM) thought it was a dick move that I basically forced her to roll an entirely new character after one night.

Dan Hays is a British artist known for painting landscapes that mimic low-resolution digital images, often working pixel by pixel. Colorado Snow Effect 4 is part of his ongoing exploration of how technology influences perception. The painting features a snowy landscape rendered in a way that resembles pixelated digital imagery, blurring the line between traditional and digital art.

i don't think we appreciate how incredible symbolism actually is. we defined a bunch of shapes and repeating patterns and imbued them with meaning using nothing but our own minds and the power of communication. how does that not drive you crazy just thinking about it.

Not to reinvent the wheel over here but humanity is sooo right about tea. It really is the perfect finnicky little thing to do. You can use it as an excuse to get up and transition to the next thing for yourself or with others; you can use tea as the centerpiece for socializing; you can use it as a meditative device or a comfort ritual or as medicine or to soothe pain or to set intentions or go to bed or to wake up. And most tea is pretty inexpensive, healthy and sometimes you can just harvest the ingredients yourself. And there's a set amount of time it takes to heat up the water and prepare your cup and let it steep, which is all part of a ritual that makes it fast but not instantaneous which is. Good.
