Sense8 finale

Okay, it so on.

I have to pause every five minutes because I get emotionally overloaded.

Kalagang in the Sense8 Finale

Well. That was disappointing.

Don’t get me wrong.  Wolfgang and Kala had some beautiful scenes. It’s how they handled the Rajan problem that’s disappointing.  And OOC, I think.

Kala’s whole arc for two seasons was that she did not love Rajan. Or more specifically, she was not IN LOVE with Rajan. She’s literally praying to Ganesha to stop her wedding because she doesn’t love him.  It was further complicated when she met and fell in love with Wolfgang.  It took a while but finally at the end of last season, she chose Wolfgang and was planning on telling Rajan. Things when awry when Wolfgang was kidnapped and Kala immediately rushed to save Wolfgang. 

Why then, does she not explain exactly Wolfgang who is to her when Rajan shows up in Paris? Unfortunately, Bug puts the idea in her head that she can be in two places at once when she and Wolfgang are finally together in the same physical space. Okay fine. Maybe, maybe I can accept that she still hadn’t told Rajan so she didn’t want to just jump into Wolfgang’s arms in front of Rajan.

But after? It literally makes no sense.  It’s like we are missing huge chunks of the story.  Capheus, Rajan, Wolfgang and Kala are all a car together with Wolfgang and Kala snuggling in the back and Rajan acting like it’s no big deal. No lie, I was so confused at this scene that I honestly thought that Kala and Wolfgang were visiting and that Rajan didn’t see it but no, they are actually all there. When Kala is shot and Wolfgang is holding her in his arms, kissing her it doesn’t even phase Rajan? Then they are both in the hospital together with Kala??

At the end, Kala fully admits that she hasn’t talked to either of them. Then you have that final scene, which suggests that Wolfgang, Kala and Rajan will be in a poly amorous relationship.  Which I don’t think is necessarily out of character for Wolfgang but I do think it is for Kala and Rajan.

Two full seasons of Kala very much not being in love with Rajan, to the point where she is uncomfortable with him showing her affection, only to have her somehow make the choice that she is going to be with both? She made her choice at the end of season 2, and it was not Rajan.

I get that they didn’t have a ton of time to develop this even though there were some throwaway lines with Kala saying that “Rajan was more than she thought”.  And I suppose that Kala not talking to them is entirely within her character. However, for Rajan to be completely okay with Kala and Wolfgang’s obvious love for each other without even questioning it to Kala seemingly now wanting to be a relationship with both seems off completely. Kala also gets to neatly avoid the problem she had with Rajan and their marriage in the first place. 

Meh. Really disappointed with the how they ended Wolfgang and Kala’s story.  If they were always intending on going this direction, they really, REALLY needed a full season to explore it so that it would make sense. Or at the very least some kind of conversation between the three of them..

SENSE8 FINALE SPOILERS HOLY FUCK

I CRIED FOR THE LAST HALF HOUR JESUS CHRIIIIIIIST

It was amazing, perfect, emotional as fuck and oh my god what a ride, what a brilliant conclusion to an epic and heart wrenching story

Everything about it??? Oh my god?? This is just my initial memory vomit I’m so compromised right now I’m shaking

- Wolfgang killing all those guards, being saved by kala

- Bug, his entire role in this

- All the sidekicks showing up and essentially becoming an extended part of the cluster - Mun, Rajan, Amanita, Dani, Hernando, Felix, Bug, Hoy, ANGELICA, Jonas!!! The entire family!!!!! OH MY GODDD

- Will being the one to refuse to kill Whispers because it would put wolfgang in danger

- Sun and Mun KICKING ALL KINDS OF ASS AND TURNING EACH OTHER ON BC OF IT

- Rajan the absolute legend, I’m so sorry for ever putting you in the role of ‘obstacle in every romcom’, you are brave and the best and i love you

- THAT SONG BREAK WHERE THEY SANG TOGETHER ON THE TRAIN AND THE VAN AND THE CAR

- Lito being a drama queen STILL even though they’re in hiding from a murderous organisation

-amanita and dani beating the SHIT out of whispers, dani CAME THRU

- the overarching theme of togetherness and hope. Listen. They didn’t have to go that hard with this and they did, everyone got out alive and everyone was surrounded by love and just, thank you, thank you lana wachowski

- capheus going hard af painting that van, oh wow

-i was yelling myself hoarse when i thought kala died oh my god, i couldn’t believe it because she was like, the last sensate i expected to go, i was SO stressed and i might have had a minor heart attack when she popped up like…. “you fools gonna save me or what”

- NOMI AND AMANITA WEDDING. THEIR VOWS, WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT FEELING AND CHANGE AND COMMITMENT, I WAS CRYING THUG TEARS BRO

-RILEY’S DAD HUGGING WILL

-everyone showed up to that wedding oh man??? They got everybody?? Oh MAN??? That’s what like, hit home for me, all these disparate people coming together out of love… wheeew

- god tier writing is putting wolfgang, kala and rajan together. Halfway through when rajan was like to kala, i love you and i accept you no matter what and i was like!!!!!!! rajan’s a cool, kind, amazing guy and you know who is also cool and kind and amazing???? That german dude. And I, a genuine psychic was like!!! Could they?1!? And on any other show, no fucking way, but this isn’t a normal show, this is a magical wondrous miracle from an lgbt goddess who doesn’t abide by the rules and thus. rajan x kala x wolfgang was born. Thank you jesus. I am sustained through another winter
