transmit messages from beings of higher intelligence and free will. always singing. confined to a singular path and defined by a purpose.

i think about this a lot

angels are axiomatic but in the way that singular traincars are public transport. they run on the axioms like beads on a string. their purpose and thus the very characteristic that allows us to call them "alive" is to carry out a purpose. this is their physical "mythology" so to speak; this is their metaphysical context. something like a cell tower connects many people together and is a feat of greater intelligence to create a machine whose complexity of purpose absolutely approaches its own physical "mythology" despite the fact that it is not "alive". an angel, like a bird drawn to pre-recorded mating calls, cannot tell the difference between itself and the cell tower as it simply lacks that complexity and can never develop such complexity lest it change the nature of angels' existence at its very root
