I like to imagine the Endless Summer MC's eyes will glow like the crystals on the planet (if you know, you know). This is a fairly recent head canon, so I don't have all the details about it worked out...

I thought I might as well introduce my High School Story MC's since they're gonna appear in my Valentine's Day post for tomorrow.

I finally figured out what Acridia's main four schools (because I'm honestly too lazy to come to with more than four school names) uniforms are. So I can now finally get started on updated ref sheets. Mostly of Blackcharm students since the story mainly revolves around students in that school, TBH.

oooh so even the male merpeople wear tops now?

Yeah! :D At some point I started to think, "If the only difference between male and female breasts was the size, why aren't men required to wear tops? Why do women even have to cover their chests in the first place? (that last one was more rhetorical, I know the real reason why)" So, my original idea was to have the women merfolk become topless too. But I know enough to know boobs must be censored unless you're aiming for the NSFW territory. But I'm not (yet) and I didn't really wanna make more work for myself by censoring, so the men just have tops now too. 🤷

I randomly thought to myself, "What if my main merfolk, the Riveras, had their fins and tail colors match the animals' actual color so they blend in better with the sea life on Earth?" And I just realized I forgot to give my shark bois gills on their necks but oh well. I'm more so leaning towards keeping the gray color, but I thought maybe if y'all saw the colors side by side you might tell what you prefer.

I wanted my first artwork of 2025 to be these guys since they hold a special place in my heart. The show they were originally made for, The Owl House, was the show that got me back into making art. And people wanting to see more of these characters made me feel more confident to share them. So, I thought what better way to celebrate them than to redraw those older pictures and compare the new one to the OG. Except Fabio the potion merman because he didn't exist in 2021... Crazy thing to remember. I'll admit, I was intimidated to shift these guys out of the Owl House world at first, but it's actually been pretty fun putting newer spins on things. Like Cass, the purple haired one, now has a wand attached to the end of her electric guitar. And Victoria using her illusion prowess to give off the vibe that she's a messenger of death.

This obsession snuck up on me lol. And yes, I've been meaning to get a haircut, dunno when I'll actually get it but soon. Also yes, it was a bit difficult to adapt the characters to be in my style, but an attempt was made.

I'm halfway to 30 and I don't know how to feel about it...

I've had to share my laptop charger with my twin cister for a bit (I ordered a new one that should be coming soon), so that's one of the main reasons there hasn't been much art lately.

The Wendy's drive thru cashier called me "bud", and I've been riding that high ever since.
