jessica was no stranger to this. after all, she wasn't exactly shy about these kinds of things. tucking some hair behind her ear ( it was getting long, wasn't it ) she peers down at ben who was seated in front of her. "close your eyes and let me take care of everything, big boy." tilting his chin backwards she slides into his lap and pours a shot of some strong alcohol into his mouth, urging him to drink it before dipping low and capturing his lips once he swallowed. the kiss is a bit clumsy but she manages to deepen it before pulling back and releasing a sigh. "told you I'd do it."

Benjamin's no stranger to flirting with people or being flirted with. Hell, it's not often that he goes home alone in the first place.

He's a wanderer, no real home outside of wherever he happened to stay in between jobs. Always on the move, the past can't catch up if he never settled down, right? Still, the life's interesting, being a mercenary for hire had served him well, the pay, the work...The people he met. Kept him on his toes, kept him sharp. Having a drink with a fine woman like this? That was just icing on the cake.

"Well now...You sure did. Hope ya won't stop with jus' one kiss though. Unless you want me ta give ya one?"

The wolf smirks, scent of alcohol filling his nose as he leans in, taking a deep breath. Oh yes. She smelled nice, underneath the familiar scent of whiskey. Much better than everyone else here, that's for sure.

Behind forward she examines his work before wrinkling her nose. Although… it should survive the drive? I’d say it’d only take youse under an hour, but it might take longer. I can go ahead and set things up and worst case scenario get my big girl car and pull youse back.” 

“Eh, I don’t need it to do much. But, sure, I’ll take up space in yer place until I get it fixed up. Probably just needs some work on the engine, if it ain’t that, it probably needs a new battery. Whatever the case, I can probably fix it up enough to just to keep it working.”

Ben shrugged as he looked at the car. All things considered, he had only picked up the basics of mechanic work, it helped when he needed to make a getaway. Still, he figured he might apologize for the parents comment, god knows he hates his, that’s why he kept running away from them, considering that they were either ready to kill him or force him back into the pack.

“It’ll make it. My shit works more often than not.”

So I did this edit of Connor in a situation in his canon that I thought about. It’s mostly him feeling a lot stronger and actually being a lot stronger since his fae magic is in its highest state. As for why, it’s because he’s so supremely pissed/worried because a fae kidnapped his girlfriend Jazz. So, he’s fully ready to do what it takes to get her back.

“I mean that’s fair, but c’mon now.” Once the initial laughter wore off she was able to control herself a bit more. Though every few seconds she couldn’t help but to break out into a small fit of giggles. “Really, always something with youse, huh? Guess that makes life fun though.” 

“Well, I never was the sharpest knife in the drawer, call it a sign of bein’ raised by shitty parents. Anyway, problem solved, if it’s stupid, but it works, ain’t that stupid, is it?”

Ben crossed his arms, surprisingly, despite the shoddy looks, the repair job worked pretty well, just enough to hold it temporarily. He was always better at quick work instead of bothering with putting too much effort into it.

“Hotwirin’ a car ain’t hard. Dunno why people act like it’s so difficult.”

            coming to the slums to get away  ??  her eyes narrows in suspicion  ,  if he was to tell an excuse  ,  surely he could come up with something better  .  that or he’s actually honest  .  thalia doesn’t sense any danger radiating off the male  ,  perhaps a bit of UNEASE … but aside from that  ,  he seemed pretty harmless  –  but  ,  thalia knew better than to trust the surface  .               it seems like he came alone … she isn’t sure if she trusts the man  ,  but then again  ,  thalia’s trust is hard to come by  .  “  a walk … in the slums  ??  don’t people take walks in … neater places  ??  ”  thalia asks  ,  though she’s never traversed further than her own home … she has no idea what the CITY is like  .

“Call me old fashioned. I ain’t really ever been picky ‘bout where I go. Helps t’clear m’head regardless of where I choose t’be. Like I said, I ain’t here t’cause ‘ny trouble or somethin’ like tha’. Jus’ tryin’ t’unwind after a long day.”

Xander’s at least glad she’s not going full on combat mode, he’d rather avoid any fights, if only because he knows spiritborn wolves are very picky about their territories. Other packs intruding upon it, usually wound up in fights happening and needing to be stopped before anybody decided to turn and start trying to rip each other apart.

“Shite, didn’t mean t’intrude on yer territory. Usually I jus’ like comin’ out t’get away from th’louder parts of th’city. I ain’t come t’cause trouble, figured tha’ yer people are rightly on edge...Ain’t often tha’ I meet other packs.”

Xander resisted the urge to rub his temples, going out for a walk in the night and he runs into another pack’s territory...Though she’s different from the wolves he’s used to spending time around. Perhaps she’s not a spiritborn like himself. The wolf within him is on edge, and he’s trying to soothe it, to let it know that there’s no trouble.
