If you exclusively focus on the harassment devoid of its blatant transmisogyny, you are actively erasing our oppression from this conversation and how it disproportionately affects transwomen

Stop sharing memes and jokes about this as if they were separate from transmisogyny, as if this was just about a CEO taking looney tunes violence as a serious threat. It's about him, staff and other users in here seeing a trans girl as a threat

I've already seen people move on, forget about this, and return to normalcy. It's a mistake we've made before. Black people have talked about mass reporting and wrongful terminations being weaponized against them at great lengths and have done so for a really long time. They were targeted, harassed and wrongfully banned. They warned us. We didn't listen and we didn't do enough.

We have to continue to be as vocal as we can about this continued campaign of harassment and unfair treatment towards transwomen. It needs to stop. We need concrete changes in the reporting and moderating systems, as well as holding tumblr's staff accountable for its actions, their silence and their lies

Please, take action now. For the sake of transwomen, for those who were unjustly terminated before us, and for those who could be harassed next

Choose care, kindness and love for your trans sisters. If you want to show your support, show it now. Don't turn us into a joke

look. i’m sick and fucking tired of seeing such horrible and inhumane responses to the global strike for palestine happening this week. it’s not just some “tumblr phenomenon”. nobody is forcing you to take off work. nobody is forcing you to take off school. use your brains and figure out that the strike is for justice in palestine. the point is to DO WHAT YOU CAN. even if that just means reblogging posts, telling a friend who might be able to do more, participate in the boycotts, make informative posts yourselves. i know that is all do-able to the majority of you. have a heart. this is not supposed to be comfortable. this is not supposed to be nice. innocent lives in Gaza are being killed by the second and the strike is to keep up the pressure for a ceasefire. this one is being circulated by palestinian people I trust, and the cause is very important and necessary. Gazan healthcare workers continue to work with nothing to sustain them and their families.

the donations would assist healthcare workers across Gaza's hospitals, including the northern region, as they endure the challenges posed by the complete collapse of the healthcare system and the disruption of their salaries

My father was martyred by Israel on 10 October 2023 after sacrificing his care in hospital so the injured children could take priority. Today would have been his 60th birthday. He was always selfless, kind, and giving for others. My father gave up everything for me to be able to have a better life, because that is what he always dreamed for me and my sister. The world suffered a great loss when he died, and my heart is always with him and every Palestinian who has lost someone.

In his honour and memory, I would love for anyone who is able to do so to consider donating to The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

The PCRF is an amazing organisation that does so much for those in Gaza right now, including helping provide food, water and medicine. You can donate any amount you are able to- there is no minimum! My father would have given his very last cent if he saw the way Palestine was continuing to suffer after over 100 days with this limited aid, so I know celebrating him by helping others is the least he would have wanted.

I saw @parrot-parent do a very successful donation match and I thought it was such a good idea so I will also match all donations up to $500! If you feel comfortable sending me proof of the amount of your donation, I will match it as a donation at the end of February. (My messages are set to mutuals only, but if you donate and we aren’t mutuals if you send an ask with the proof I will make sure to answer it privately.)
