“ I tend to represent myself as this cheetah character from time to time as cheetahs are my fav animal. They also have personal symbolic meaning to me that just adds to the fact of why this is the animal I escape to when I'm down.

Icy Laser

Just a quick doodle-thing of the character I'll be working on, Chacal. The chacal. Yeah, I should probably name him, eventually. I've made a whole bunch of drawings for him to figure out his design, and I will probably be posting it alongside his 3d-friendly refsheet sometime soon! ...When I'm done with it. Heh

Conversation

I've made this while my mind drifted away on a talk I had with someone important to me. It was not a life or death sort of talk, but a really anxious one as I felt deeply saddened about something but was still not sure if I should ask about it or not. But I did, and we talked. Honestly, when our talk was done I just sort of stumbled upon this, nearly finished. It's rather simple - nothing complicated on the animal itself, even thought I could probably come up with something better if I was actively paying attention to my doodle - but it puts me at ease, as if I've drawn the conversation itself. I might revisit this same color palette for something else in the future, with some lineart this time.

Foxes on my Mind

Sorry for not posting for a while - I’ve been tangled up on some random works that I don’t think would be good posts.

Lets see... 

I made three 3d animations as homework for my college (I actually liked the animations themselves, I wonder if I should post them??? The visuals themselves are obviously not the best as the focus of those works was on the animation :<); 

tweaked two character animations and both linearted/painted them (I am proud of how it turned out, but both the character design, timing and basic animations are not made by me and it’s not my project to post so I might wait for the minigame where the animations will be applied to be ready so I can post the link for everyone to play and enjoy!);

and lastly had some work to be done on the script I will be using this semester. 

Sooo the only thing I’ve made were random fox drawings inbetween 3d modeling sessions. Woops.

Next week I will be working on the full character design of the character I’ll be animating this semester whoeve, so this illustration break won’t be for much longer.

I had a hell of a time trying to get the colors right (especially Steven’s skin, since the character ref sheet shows Steven as having darker? greyer? skin than canon!Steven).

Garnet’s the biggest ‘cause I drew her first and she’s a Queen and I really wanted to draw her outfit from the AU XD

I really like the picture of Steven with Greg ‘cause I’m a sucker for their interactions <3 Also, this is one of the best Rose’s I’ve drawn!!!

The Thief

Hey, some concept art! I’ll be working on a teaser for this project throught this 3d animation semester.

I’m quite happy with the “poster” / color concept art I’ve done, and I hope I can get this coyote’s design on point way ahead of schedule.

If you want a little spoiler of what it is about, here’s the logline (a really badly written one but hey)

A renegate but experienced thief is on a mission to steal the greatest diamond of the world for the second time after fifteen years since your first and only failure.

Alternate title for the poster piece is “broken glass”, as it is reminiscent of the character hidden in shadow, who is shattered in image. Decided to change it to be the title on the poster itself to not be confusing!

The Doe

Hey, a fanart! I rarely do fanarts at all, even more so that it isn't of something big like a popular cartoon, film, book, etc. It's a fanart for a comic I enjoyed a lot! Seriously, this comic is amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. I rarely read comics at all and I feel so lucky for have found this. The name of the comic is "Doe of Deadwood", made by Songdog-StrayFang! Character do not belong to me, only the art/fanart itself. I see fire

I will admit, I’m not too happy with this. I’m still pretty rusty from all the months that I didn’t draw anything at all. I feel like I’m too confortable; I should be doing more drawings that escape my confort zone. But oh well, it’s almost 1 am, I should sleep instead of overthink this!

My deer dears

I’ve just started learning how to use Toon Boom, and after the basics class I had, I decided to just do something really fast for fun! It’s a very easy and intuitive program to start out with (or at least I felt it was), and honestly I’ve forgotten how fun it can be to do a little animation, even more so that I don’t have to fix my brushes every 10 seconds or deal with crashes and freezes (I’m so sorry Krita, but you can be really mean to me sometimes :( )

Since the animation itself is really simple and rough (and honestly I’m still wondering if I should’ve at least fixed its proportions before posting), I’m posting a vent drawing I did roughly a month ago to go along with it. There’s nothing “vent-y” about the drawing itself, I just did it while I was in a really rough state of mind.

Lost

Just a drawing for fun.

I was going to write a paragraph for what's going on on this "scene" (or rather the context of the drawing itself) but my shoulder is hurting really bad (not drawing related!) so I think I'll just go and rest for a bit. But if curious, I can give a more direct little explanation; This energetic dog got lost in the forest, and this "kind" old fox found him and is willing to land a paw and help him, for a small price it is. Alternate title might be "Toxic", as on my first color test I used neon greens.

Lastly on the small row of recent drawings, there’s this character I’ve done. Her name is Erin, and she’s quiet. Really, really quiet.

I’m not too great at drawing human characters tbh, and yes I can see some of the anatomy mistakes in this. I normally try to fix them when I clean my sketches, but I never got to the point of cleaning them.

Next time I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I still like the character itself though!

Just something I did while I was having some really bad insomnia. (I don’t think getting up to draw helped with that tho). My logic was “I’ll tire myself up by drawing” but I ended up staying awake for way longer than I should’ve r.i.p

You can see how tired I was by the end of it; The tree and background were the last thing I drew and they are... Kinda lazy tbh.

And if you’re wondering, that’s a foxowl. Or owlfox, or... I just wanted a excuse to do a fox with wings, and I had fun!
