I think the spaulder armour is dragonhide and yep they seem to be sharing A PAIR of them. Only one each. It’s something you’d buy in a pair to cover both shoulders and it’s being shared by them ❤️ either they slew a dragon together or it’s the aftermath of the boss fight in datte atashi no hero and they got some of the hide worked into these spaulders as a symbol of their bond. That’s… husband af I’m sorry (bkdk canon)

your last ask got me thinking - do you think bakugou’s own self sacrifice when it comes to winning will be explored? like anon said, it was shown in his origin with the “ill break and twist myself before i accept defeat” thing while he got his ass handed to him by allmight. i really want to see more of that and what made him get to that point because it is rather unhealthy, like when anon said when bakugou said “anyhow” when iida told him about possibly dying due to his injuries

a conversation is bound to happen because of his little stunt in chapter 285 and hoHOHO boi im excited about that

the thing is bakugou is only self-sacrificial when deku's involved.

the first instance was in bkdk vs all might, that clever bit of foreshadowing when bakugou jumped in front of all might to let deku escape and using his strongest explosions without his gauntlets. the second one is in bakugou katsuki rising, him willingly throwing his whole life away for him, a more clear case of how bakugou becomes utterly selfless when it comes to deku.

the chapers after that shows how his "total crisis" and his whole fucking drive to save comes from deku. i am fucking appalled how it links perfectly to what deku said about bakugou's propensity to win.

bakugou hates how deku doesn't care about himself, it's the soul reason why he started the bullying because he thought not having deku's natural inclination to put everyone before himself made him less of a hero but deep inside he considers deku as his drive to save.

when bakugou's urge to save/protect overpowers his urge to win his self-preservation is out the window, ie he starts acting like izuku fucking midoriya.

I don't know, if that is just my faulty brain speaking, but; Always, when we are having a look at Midoriya's thoughts on others, when Bakugou is included, he is placed in a way, where the first focus of the panel is on him. Is it, because i am too biased? Or is something done on purpose, and others could notice, as well?

Izuku always has Bakugou up-front and in his mind at all times. Does this mean that he has a brain-rot of Bakugou? Most certainly he cannot get his mind off him.

Seriously? ._. Dude he had to remind himself to not think of him. This is just obsessed behavior, very fruity. Like make it less obvious you are in love with him please. 

Fr they make me homophobic because they are constantly thinking about each other. So I do believe that Bakugou is always up-front in his mind. No matter what, I take no criticism oihoiahso-

That interview where Horikoshi says that from the beginning, Katsuki has thought of Izuku as above him, what interview is that from? (Upper right corner of your interview image from the "chill out, Katsuki is still relevant to the plot, guys" post).

it’s from this interview that he did with Cinema Today Japan in December 2019 (corresponding with the release of Heroes Rising). that’s probably my favorite out of all his interviews because he talked a lot about Bakugou and Deku’s relationship and about Bakugou’s character development.

I think I’m gonna try to make an index post of all the Horikoshi interviews actually, because there are about a dozen of them I’ve found (including the new one that just came out today), and I constantly find myself clicking through all of them in my disorganized bookmarks whenever I’m trying to find a specific quote. it’ll make my life easier lol.

every time bakugou says another romance-action-romcom-fanfic-ass one liner, i feel all weird… like. what are we supposed to feel about that? 

there’s two ending options: a) they pretend this shit never happened and the manga just ends with them as only friends (we’ll lose our shit) or b) bkdk ACTUALLY becomes canon (we’ll lose our shit)

what do you do in this situation? why does hori keep writing these lines for bakugou as if he’s not backing himself into a corner??? /hj

Pain.

It was the last thing Katsuki remembered before he’d blacked out. He was bleeding, dying, fighting with all his might, and then, as the adrenaline wore off, there was nothing but unbearable pain.

And Deku.

Deku.

Katsuki cracked his eyes open with a groan, taking in his surroundings. Instead of lying on rough, dirty terrain, he was now in a bed, his torn costume replaced by a scratchy, blue gown. An oxygen mask covered his face.

“Shit!” Katsuki hissed at the ache in his side as he lurched forward, ripping off the mask.

“He’s awake!!”

An entourage of classmates was there to greet him, shouting in excitement that he was okay, but Katsuki only had one thought on his mind.

Where was Deku?
