I smiled into the phone as Nathan explained his day to me, "Jesus that sounds tiring Nate"

"Eh, it's all in the name of hockey"

"And what about me?" I teased lightly.

"Okay alright you take second place" I gasped dramatically, "Oh Nathan, you're not getting this fine ass when you get home"

"Alright fine you're up to par with hockey" Nathan sounded as if he struggled to say the sentence.

I tsk'd into the phone before a comfortable silence took over, "I love you"

"I love you too Nate, even if I'm the mistress when it comes to hockey"

Nathan's laughed resonated through the phone as I smiled at the sound.

"I got to go Nate, but I love you and I'll talk to you tomorrow" Nathan sighed sadly.

"Okay but you hang up first" Nathan giggles into the receiver, "you're very cheesy you know that right"

"Yeah but c'mon don't break character"

I rolled my eyes at Nathan antics, "No, you hang up"

Silence was heard as two beeps signaled the end of the call.

I glanced at my phone to see if Nathan had actually ended the call.

My face highly resembled the pickachu meme at the moment, dialing his number back I waited for him to answer the call.

"You asshole!"

Nathan laughed hysterically, "sorry gorgeous bu-" I now hanged up his call.

I laughed loudly enjoying the moment.

"Damn it, I really love this kid"
