LOTUS (로터스) - Sweet Dreams ( 달콤한 꿈 ) MV

    After a series of unexpected images of the girls as a trio being released, Lotus finally reveal a new music video titled Sweet Dreams. With stunning visuals, vocals and an intricate storyline, the trio of sisters make yet another great impression. Proving that Lotus, really was worth the wait and will be missed as three by many.     The video depicts (what very well could be) the girls last music video as a trio. The scene opens to the girls sitting around a small contained fire in a candlelit cabin in the heart of the woods, their original concept shining through for the first time. In the fire a parchment with cursive illedigble writing scrawled across it is slowly burned and the ash disperses through the air. Symbolism for the memories they will leave behind. One by one the candles flicker and fade, shrowding the girls in an eerie darkness. The camera pans and zooms to a single candle still ablaze, but dangerously close to going out.       The scene fades into another as the final flame diminishes.Eloise sits in the attic of the cabin, leant against a large bayonett window overlooking the forest shrowded in fog. A thick storm brewing. Thunder claps, lightning strikes, and as she peers out of the window, it clears, and a scene from a seemingly ‘forgotten memory’ plays out. The girls as a trio strutting down the street filled, and overflowing with confidence. They smile, laugh, they’re close enough to brush shoulders. The scene continues to play out. It��s bittersweet, they seem to be having so much fun, enjoying themselves and each others company until one of the sisters stray. Eloise turns down a dirt path into a woodland area, and becomes lost. Nami strays to find her but can’t seem to no matter how hard she tries. Whilst willow stays in place waiting for them to both return rain begins to pour from the sky. 

     It fades back to a room in the cabin where Willow sits with her back against the door, overlooking a portrait of the sisters together, a photograph clutched tightly in her hand. Polaroids of the trio are scattered across the bed. The images fade one after the other, and eventually the painting does too, leaving only a blank space on the wall. Willow rises from her space and is seen trashing the entirety of the room. She rips the blank cavas from the wall and throws it across the room, it rips and clatters to the floor. Tears well in her eyes as she pulls the comforter from the bed, the faded polaroids scattering across the floor. She then climbs atop the bed and seemingly cries herself to sleep.       The next scene starts with Nami peering into Willows room through the keyhole. She moves away eventually and steps into her own room where she moves to the window where three plant pots sit. She waters each one. Two are seen growing whilst the other fails to do so. She tries again and again, and perhaps waters it too much. Eventually she too slinks down atop the bed. She stares towards the ceiling as a memory of the three is projected there. Eloise wins a large white bunny rabbit from an arcade game. The same bunny pictured in one of the images that had earlier been released of the girls. Nami is seen then leaving her room and stepping out of the cabin and into the rain that pours. She quickly becomes soaked as she looks for Eloise to the point where you can’t tell if it’s tears running down her face or rain water. Time is shown passing with a shot of the two flowers growing the third pot struggling. Nami finds Eloise’s bunny in the woods, wet and muddy. She brings it back to the house with her and heads to willows room. Eloise is shown watching from the attic with a small smile on her face. 

     The two sisters take care of the bunny, they wash it, dry it, tuck it into bed, and then they join it. One sister either side of the plushie. They soon fall asleep, and in their dreams they’re seen together again, as a trio, walking side by side, down a path towards a bright light. The video ends with the phone ringing  Willow answers it and holds the handset between herself and Nami as they sing the final line of the song into the receiver.

I’m still struggling to understand why you had the need to make me feel so worthless, so incredibly small compared to you. Was it because you found pictures on my phone? You know, I tried to like girls, even dated a few just to try and fit into your standards, maybe you’d finally give me a proud smile, then. But nothing changed even then, nothing was ever enough. I suppose you were just old fashioned, you weren’t used to having a child who had different opinions than you, someone who wouldn’t easily obey you or take the verbal and physical abuse you pushed upon our whole household. 

You made me lose faith in love from such an early age, gave me trust issues when I saw you coming home late at night drenched in the scent of another woman while mom had spent the night crying in her room. You probably didn’t know that I saw all of that right? Because if you put on a facade in front of us, order foreign breakfast in the morning, shower us with gifts and kiss mom’s forehead a good morning, you thought we wouldn’t see the invisible stains of tears on her face. She was probably too young to understand, or even remember, and I’m forever grateful for that, but I could never forget how I thought everything you did was an act. 

I thought this would be an apology to you, but I can’t bring myself to write it. I never felt like you loved me, maybe you were just incredibly bad at expressing it, but I gave you chances, lots of chances and I kept hoping. Even when you fell ill, I decided to give you another chance, but it was way too late to fix anything. We could never have the relationship I so much needed and dreamed of, something I still crave and search for in others, sadly. I’m happy that you didn’t suffer longer, mostly because it hurt me to see how much it affected those around, less about you. I’m not sure why I’m crying. I guess it’s the last glimpse of hope leaving, forever.

I’m actually on a break, preparing for my next comeback and participating in small projects but when I’m promoting, my schedules can go from seven hours to an entire day and sometimes, it could be really late at night when I’m finally able to go to sleep or I need to pull all-nighters. Luckily, I have chances to take small naps, especially when we’re moving from place A to place B. Besides napping, I drink water a lot too. It surprisingly keeps me awake and so does coffee, which is not that surprising, ‘cause if peole know me well, I like to drink coffee alot. Anyway, I think the most important thing is resting. I always try to have proper rest after I’m done promoting the entire month and I try to recharge myself.”

How could I not say something nice about my brother, I’ve known you all of my life and surely hasn’t all been too easily. Especially the last year seems to have been a rough year for you, but still you’re always here trying to reassure me when I feel bad and still you make sure to tell me to have a good day and take care of others. I know you feel insecure a lot of the time and have made some mistakes but I also know you’re strong and will get over it. I really do think you’re a great person, a few unfortunate experiences with people doesn’t make you a bad person, neither do you need to think so badly of yourself because you too tried your best, just like everyone else. Sometimes things don’t go the way we want them to, and sometimes we lose people we love but as long as we don’t lose ourselves we’re good. And you’re still you, the likable Minjun I’ve always known. You’ll find your happiness, and slowly I’m seeing you’re already back on your way to the top. I love you a lot and hope we’ll be close siblings forever, so we can grow old and visit each other as wrinkly grumpy grandparents to argue and bicker about life. I love you ♡

In this place of being, nothing but Yeo-ri & Minjun existed, they had their own pocket of the universe– & this is where it had nothing to do with sexuality.  Simply put, their souls were mated, destined & tugging into each other with undeniable chemistry. It showed by how comfortable and comforting it was to burrow into each other’s necks, get skin to skin and just breathe as one.she took it that step further and snuggled into his frame, softly laying her lips over both his cheeks. then she closed her eyes as he nuzzled his face against her neck, fingers gently playing with his hair.

Minjun had gotten quite used to watching horror movies by this point as several of his friends preferred the darker kinds of movies which would normally make Minjun’s skin crawl. But this time, the movie had been on a whole other level and the amount of blood in the first scened had nearly been enough to make him ask the younger to turn it off, but not wanting to sound like a coward he had quietly sat through it all with a look of disgust written all over his face. When the movie had ended and it was time for sleep, the former idol struggled to get the images out of his head. He could imagine how the flesh of the body was cut open and how the blood came flowing out, nearly black, and he moved once more, trying out to sleep on his side instead. Deul must’ve noticed him because soon he could swear that he heard him sing, very quietly but still audible for his ears. He had never heard the boy sing before, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration if he were to compare his voice to what he imagined an angel’s voice would sound like. He tried to stay awake now, just to hear him sing more, but something about his voice made him incredibly tired, exhausted, and he soon drifted away.

A memory which is painful but also a good lesson for Minjun is when he did the mistake of going through his crush’s phone and found them talking to someone else the same way they were talking to him. The feeling of emptiness and hurt still appears whenever he recalls the memory, though he’s learnt not to do anything of the sort again and has realised that not everything people say is true and genuine.
