a/n: inspired by @leehnz post about bnd and photobooths! also this is my first time posting kinda nervous

9:00 pm

you're scrolling on pinterest in your bedroom and winding down for the night when you see an adorable couple photo taken in a vintage photobooth. you save it to your board of couple photos and start doing some research online to find a similar photobooth near you. as you search, you find a cafe about 20 minutes away that has one. "omg i should totally take woonhak there tomorrow," you think as you look through pictures of the cafe. you open up messages and text him:

y/n: woonhak omg

woonhak: what is it?

y/n: can we PLS go to this cafe tomorrow? it has a vintage photobooth and i wanna take pics so bad!

woonhak: okay

woonhak: wait do i have to dress up

y/n: ofc <3

woonhak: ugh fine

woonhak: i'll pick you up at 9:30 <3

you giggle at your boyfriend's text, knowing he's pretending to hate dressing nice for you. you have been dating woonhak for a few months, and are still in the nervous "new relationship" phase, but you're slowly becoming more comfortable with each other.

as you drift to sleep, you contemplate what you're going to wear tomorrow and smile softly with excitement.

8:45 am

tomorrow comes and you get ready for the day, putting on one of your favorite outfits for the date. as you're finishing your final touches, you get a text from woonhak.

woonhak: 10 minutes away :)

you start gathering your things and meet woonhak outside when he gets to your house. you get in the passenger seat of his car and put the location in the maps. "hey," woonhak says, smiling, "you look pretty." you smile back at him, "thanks! your outfit's cute. i didn't know if you'd actually dress up for this," you tease. woonhak laughs quietly. "hey, i never disappoint when you tell me to dress well! i know how much you love fashion." he says endearingly.

the car ride goes by quickly, with you and woonhak talking and laughing together. when you arrive at the cafe, he quickly gets out of the car. "wait!" he exclaims, and runs over to your side. he opens the door for you before you can even take your seat belt off. he looks down at you from outside the car, "okay, you can get out now!" you smile at how cute he is and get out of the car, intertwining your hand with his as you walk into the cafe together, him making sure to hold the door open for you.

the cafe is decorated in shades of white, cream, and light pink, with a seemingly endless amount of pretty pastries set neatly in glass cases. "wow, this is so pretty!" you say to woonhak. "yeah, totally," he says, but you can see him looking at the desserts instead of the cafe's pretty interior. "okay woonhak," you grab his hand "i'm so sorry but we definitely have to take the pictures before we eat! there's a high chance we'll spill powdered sugar on ourselves." you say with a pointed look. "y/n are you serious! i'm so hungry right now," woonhak replies, but he lets you pull him in the direction of the photobooth. "you are a messy eater! we can eat all we want after," you say with a sweet smile. woonhak reluctantly let's you drag him into the photobooth.

you cram onto the tiny seat right next to each other while woonhak goes to press the start button. "wait! hold for a second?" you stop him and hand him a tiny mirror. you reapply your lip gloss as he holds the mirror up for you. "you're so high maintenance," he says with false annoyance. "be quiet!" you respond. "okay, i'm ready!" woonhak finally presses the start button on the screen and it begins the countdown. he leans back to pose with you and puts his arm around your waist, pulling you closer while you both smile for the camera. the second countdown begins quickly. "woonhak, heart!" you say, and make half a heart with your hand for woonhak to complete. the camera snaps the second photo and begins the third countdown. "what now?" woonhak asks. you pretend to think as the countdown gets closer to zero.

3...2...

as the screen displays the number 1, you grab onto woonhak's face and kiss him on the cheek. he lets out a surprised laugh as the camera flashes. "y/n!!! i probably look so stupid in that, you could have warned me!" he exclaims. the last countdown begins and you quickly turn his face to display the lip gloss mark on his cheek to the camera as you laugh. the camera snaps one last time and captures the image. woonhak is blushing slightly and laughing disbelievingly at you as the photos come up on the screen. "oh my god, those are so embarrassing," he says, but you can tell he likes them. "stop woonhak! they're cute and you love them!" you say. you press the print button and get out of the photobooth. woonhak takes the photo strips from the side of the machine and hands one to you. "okay, they're kind of cute," he says with a smile. "of course!" you reply, "and now we can eat."

you and woonhak go to order your coffee and a huge number of pastries, definitely too many for two people. you sit down and talk for a few hours, giggling together and doing reviews of each pastry. woonhak artfully folds his copy of the photo strip to fit in his phone case, displaying the last two pictures. as your date ends, woonhak walks to your side of the table to take your hand, and you smile to yourself because you noticed he never wiped off your kiss mark.
