How do you not get hurt by things?

What do you do when you see posts that distress you?  

When they’re by people you don’t know you can ignore them. 

But when they’re people you know and love in things that hurt you? 

How do you ignore it then?  

How do you not get hurt by things?  What kind of shit armour is this anyways that I built and it has this stupid weak spot, like right in front of my throat where a single well placed stab could KILL me?  

How did I think giving others that power was a good idea?  

So either I modify my armour and figure out how to plug up all the holes (sounds heavy and cumbersome and exhausting) OR I take it all off and I run naked and screaming into the fray.  Fuck that sounds terrifying.  There has to be a better way... 

It’s not like I didn’t try... I tried and I couldn’t do it.  How many years of agony would you put up with for someone else?  How much do you let someone else hurt you, with the full knowledge that they’re hurting you?  

tl;dr fuck this shit it’s time for more House of Cards season 4.

So I’m house-sitting

-and this house is just a nightmare that keeps on giving. It’s approaching hoarding.  They’re wasting more space than I live in in my apartment.  Whole rooms full of stuff.  I’m carving out a space to live for the next 10 weeks and it’s like a wonderland of fascinating horror- 

Like, what’s in this fridge in the basement? Some bottles of Guiness, cool cool, but also, jars of urine?  It can’t be.  It probably is, but I’m not going to investigate any further.

I’m convinced that there are two kinds of skunks... The adorable amazing kind that are the cutest things you’ve ever seen, and the kind that emit essence of burned tires and lava farts in the middle of the night and wake me up.
