I think what drives me so mental every time we get into this shit with max it’s the same cycle. George races as normal. Max does something dangerous, George protests it, Max throws a scorched earth fit and he and Redbull Press spend the next media cycle slagging George off. George responds in kind and he’s labelled as stirring the pot and causing trouble. Then if George is anything but perfectly in line with the rules, if he gives even an INCH of what max doles out in miles every week, and he’s hit with the harsher punishment or scrutiny

It’s the same cycle we saw with Lewis in 2021, where everyone was so desperate for a title fight they encouraged Max’s blatant horrid behaviour for the sake of entertainment, all while Lewis was practically crucified if he so much as matched Max’s energy. And because no one stopped him then he never had any reason to change.

George is not a saint he’s a shit sometimes, he absolutely knows how to push Max’s buttons, but the difference is Max’s entire approach to driving is slamming every button he sees and he’s allowed to every time, but other drivers do it once it’s Armageddon it’s exhausting
