My take on June/Egbert In my art

Hi! Just to clarify—I don’t hate June. I actually love how the fandom embraced a headcanon so strongly it became semi-canon in a spinoff. That said, she’s dubiously canon, much like how trans man Roxy and trans girl Roxy can both exist. It’s not set in stone.

Hating June for “making a character suddenly trans” is not only tone-deaf, it also ignores Egbert’s character growth and how many transfem and trans women relate to her. If you want strictly cishet characters, maybe Homestuck isn’t the fandom for you.

Personally, I prefer a gender-neutral Egbert, which I’ve nicknamed JAXX. In my art, I draw June, John, and Jaxx—different takes from different timelines. There’s room for all of them. Don’t be bigoted just because someone’s headcanon isn’t your own.

TLDR;I like any egbert. Thats it.
