I think as a culture we have all forgotten that fandom is supposed to be fun.

Especially since most of the drama and hurt revolves around shipping.

All of the ships are fictional. Being canon doesn’t actually negate the fact that the ship isn’t real. 

No ship, or any aspect of a fictional universe, is important enough to treat another real life human being badly.

The reason we say antis are fascists, which I've seen some people critique as silly or extreme, is because they fold right back over their supposed leftist values the second they want to insult someone online. "Underage people". I've had multiple responses to this post say they're practically college age. But even if they were underage, they're not PEOPLE to begin with.

The fact that you'd even say "Well she could have researched it"... like, well, if she'd researched it, she would've found there's nothing wrong with it. That's just victim blaming.

See the thing is: sexual fictional content of children in any capacity is not "child porn" in the way you're saying, basically. They're not legally the same. They're not conceptually the same.

So this is why Ceo said you're equating them. "Child porn" is illegal because it features real children. There are Real victims and systems of exploitation.

The real question is always: Is it hurting you to think about? Well, that is something a therapist could work on. But why do something if it doesn't bring you any level of comfort. People don't typically do that. Fun fact: I am a clinical mental health professional. That is my Job. I would never look a client in the eye after they disclosed something like this to me and think "wow they're fucked" or "ew go die", which for some reason is what antis seem to think is acceptable.
