Living with May and Peter had been a rather difficult adjustment, considering he'd been living on his own since his own unconventional 'birth'; abandoned and rejected from everywhere he'd thought to stay for too long.

yet...

he'd been taken in by May with little fuss; he reminded her too much of Richard Parker, and her bleeding heart came into play when he'd admitted he had nowhere to go. not to mention, he was like Peter in the whole powers department, and having a mentor for him to learn from would be a good idea.

the fact that Peter had grown so attached to him so quickly was another factor, though Kaine's not sure how considering how abrasive he tended to be. but having been around Aracely for so long had done its damage; he'd gone soft, and it was apparent when he was around the young Parker and May.

today he found himself helping with groceries, having brought in the bags from the car to save May the hassle, and was currently helping put things away. he never really noticed how domestic this was, especially after all the shit he'd been through... hell, it kind of felt like Houston.

except for the 5 star hotel and the 'fuck you' amount of money. but he could learn to live without all that.
