Kit: Ty we talked about this during dinner... 20 minutes ago. I'm sorry I did that.

Ty: I just thought you should apologise again — then looking back at the screen—. Yeah you should be.

Sophie Collins, only a servant, her only wish to be a Shadowhunter being one which can never come true because she has a debt to repay, in love with a man with whom it can never work out, unable to let anyone know. Charlotte Branwell, her only desire to influence and help and protect being mocked and crushed by men, in love with a man that looks at her as a friend, unable to let anyone know. Henry Branwell, knowing things work different than what he's been taught, knowing he is right but cannot possibly explain and will always be laughed at as insane, in love with a woman that married him for convenience, unable to let anyone know.

The Infernal Devices understood loneliness like no other book I've read, the bone deep sense of being utterly alone even when surrounded by people.

I'm sure enough time has passed and we all agree on this now.

But Aziraphale didn't want Crowley to become an angel because of him, but because he's never seen Crowley as smiley as as an angel. He wanted Crowley to feel again what Aziraphale thought was the happiest he's ever been.

And yes, he probably had a crush on Crowley's Angel, but he fell in love with him as a demon.

He was willing to sacrifice the version of Crowley he was in love with in order to make him feel happier

Just a little reminder that when he saw her, he wanted to be with her; when he was with her, he ached to touch her; when he touched even her hand, he wanted to embrace her. He wanted to feel her against him the way he had in the attic. He wanted to know the taste of her skin and the smell of her hair. He wanted to make her laugh. He wanted to sit and listen to her talk about books until his ears fell off. But all these were things he could not want, because they were things he could not have, and wanting what you could not have led to misery and madness.
