Hi Guys! It's been awhile. You know how crazy it can get around the holidays. To be honest, I haven't had much leisure reading time, but now it's time to get back into it! I've been really into some supernatural and suspense themes lately, so here we go!

I happened upon this gem of a nightmare in the young adult section at the library. I was looking for books in the supernatural genre when I saw this one and the title, "The Dead List" just jumped out at me.

This book starts out with a flashback of four friends in middle school. Four friends who had been together for years. Then it jumps ahead to senior year. These four friends aren't so close anymore, and one of them isn't in the picture.

Ella, while leaving the party is attacked by a someone wearing a terrifying clown mask, who nearly kills her. She is rescued by one of the four friends and an old love interest Jensen.

As the story continues, we get a better picture of what happened between these four friends in the past and how it's relevant to the present story.

As Jensen and Ella grow close again, more people start disappearing and then bodies start appearing. Someone is torturing Ella and she's pretty sure she knows why. It has something to do with her past and those of her friends and the other people in her school.

As I read this story, I had a pretty good idea who the killer was, but this book kept me guessing until the very end. It kept me on the edge of my seat. It had my heart racing. It made me not want to go to bed because 1) I wanted to stay up and finish the book and 2) I didn't want to have nightmares. It was one of those can't put down books that you can't wait to finish to figure the whole story out.

Trust me, even when you think you've got it all figured out, that it's all been revealed, you don't. This author keeps you guessing up until the very end. It's heart stopping, pulse pounding, adrenaline pumping suspense from start to finish!
