❝ Women tend to gravitate towards questions of ‘Am I beautiful?’ and ‘Am I enough?’ because that is what we have been taught — to evaluate our own beauty. ❞ -Rowan Blanchard

GIRL MEETS STEM
The Disney channel show, Girl Meets World’s recent episode talks about equality between the sexes.
Riley Matthews takes a stand when the girls are the ones who have to drop the marble while the boys carry out the scientific experiment. She calls out their sexist behavior & takes a stand. I love this episode for many reasons.
Topanga, Riley’s mother, tells the girls that they have unlimited potential and have the capability to do whatever they want and not let judgements get in their way. One example; one girl says “I want your shoes”. Topanga looks at her with encouragement. “I wanna work at the company that makes your shoes,”. Topanga encourages her again. “I wanna run the company that makes your shoes” and a smile formes on the girl’s face.
Another reason the science teacher explaining that girls often lose interest in stem subjects at middle school and that it should not be that way.
The younger stars, Auggie & Ava. Auggie did nothing at a football game & got a participant trophy. Ava, helped her team score multiple goals but was awarded the same trophy. Instead of getting revenge or holding a grudge, Ava trained Auggie until he was finally good at the sport.
A main element in the show, is friendship. Farkle & Riley. Riley explains that she loves science & wants to get better at it. She ends off with, “Don’t you want me to get better?” To which he responds, “Of course I do, you’re my friend,”
What’s great about this show is that it teaches this generation of children the importance of friendship, equality and respect. These are the kind of shows which need to be on the air for children to watch especially in a society like ours.
The girls’ last line in the show is “We’re big time feminists now”
The definition of feminism is:
The belief that women are and should be treated as potential intellectual equals and social equals to men. These people can be either male or female human beings, although the ideology is commonly (and perhaps falsely) associated mainly with women.
The basic idea of Feminism revolves around the principle that just because human bodies are designed to perform certain procreative functions, biological elements need not dictate intellectual and social functions, capabilities, and rights.
Feminism also, by its nature, embraces the belief that all people are entitled to freedom and liberty within reason–including equal civil rights–and that discrimination should not be made based on gender, sexual orientation, skin color, ethnicity, religion, culture, or lifestyle.
It is important for children to learn and be advocates for equality. TV shows like this on a popular network is just the first step.

Girl Meets Ski Lodge, 2016
Okay so these are the confirmed episodes and I am super nervous about "she don't like me", "triangle" and "ski lodge".
Because as we all know and believe, ski lodge will be a parallel from boy meets world, where Cory chooses Topenga! So what we possibly are looking at is a huge build up..
And permanent record, can it be something about Lucas past?
