I don’t want a self driving wheelchair that can go up stairs. I want ramps elevators, and curb cuts.

I don’t want a solution in 20 years, I want it now. I wanna be able to go to the mall with my friends and not have to worry about stairs. I want to go the movies and actually chose where I sit. I want to go to a park without having to parkour my way through cracked pavement and curb drops.

I want accessibility and I want it today.

Taking care of the disabled and injured is human nature actually. We have evidence of our ancestors caring for folks with disabilities. We're a cooperative species that takes care of their own. If our starving, weary, and hunted ancestors could care for the disabled members of their tribe, in this era of modern medicine and abundant resources we absolutely can afford to do the same.

heyyyy so since duolingo is replacing all its staff with ai nows a good time to get a library card and use the Mango app to learn languages :) it actually helps learn them too instead of just being a little game that rewards you for using it every day without teaching you anything :)

okay listen. someone needs to tell Wyll that he is not forsaking anyone by regretting his pact. when you talk to him about it, it feels like he’s terrified that the moment words of regret pass his lips for it, then every moment of goodness he’s strived for (either because of it or despite it) will be instantly undone.

it’s one of the only conversations you can have with him in the entire game that his voice catches and breaks. sweet Wyll, I promise it’s okay, to say aloud that you have been harmed irreversibly by something you felt forced into from the very first moment. it does not take away from how hard you’ve tried, how much you care, how good you are. I promise.

I also think he struggles to admit how much the pact has hurt him because I think if he had to make the decision a second time, he’d still make the same one, and he believes that must translate to having no regrets about it, but I don’t think that’s true. he has been tormented and yanked around for years and has so deeply believed for all of it that he is not allowed to struggle with the damage, because he made this choice and now he’s going to live with it without a whisper of complaint. but gods he is hurting so much inside. the moment you suggest getting out of the pact he reveals instantly how much he wants that. im going to cry like I am making myself cry rn
