Yesterday was one of our local biyearly Days of the Duckie of Light. So here he is.

The Duckie sits on our broadband router's link to the incoming fiber cable. Sometimes the light coming in through the Venetian blinds falls on him this way, so that he becomes effulgent. (Or at least his butt does.) As a result, we do not touch the Duckie or move him in any way, lest the Light forget where to find him.

We have often wondered whether the manifestation of the Light is some kind of Good Omen.* Much cogitation has given us no better data on this, but the phenomenon does prove pretty neatly that the Sun has risen again. Which, all things taken together, strikes us as a Good Thing.

Meanwhile, at this most appropriate time, may the Light (with or without a Duckie) find you too.

*(snicker)

This is what you get when you make assumptions about fans of a character without actually talking to the fans. I want Adam to get redemption, but I do also want him to be apologized to as well. I see Adam as someone who did wrong, but was also wronged as well. The confession has such a black and white view in a series that is saying such a black and white way of looking at things as wrong by having a villain say that the rules are black and white. Why does it have to be one or the other, why can’t it be both.
